Your family will be close to everything in our beautiful Quincy Cottage. One block away from the center of town yet still peaceful & quiet, we are within a short walking distance to over ten restaurants, Madison Park, a grocery store and our famous tree lined Maine Street, a must see while visiting beautiful Quincy. The Quincy Cottage is perfect for families, traveling professionals & just about everyone who wishes to relax & unwind.

The Quincy Cottage was absolutely perfect for our family. We came to town to visit with friends and it was the perfect spot. The cottage had everything we needed and then some. All the little things you don't think you'll need on a trip were somehow included. As if they magically anticipated our every need! The backyard was BEAUTIFUL and we enjoyed spending a lot of time there in the lovely Autumn weather. We would definitely love to stay there again when we visit Quincy. IL.

The cottage was immaculate. There was a beautiful welcoming gift and a well written pamphlet on the rules of the home. The neighborhood was very quiet. You couldn't hear any outside noise in the house. The host had all amenities. It was very obvious the host thought of everything. The hostess responded almost immediately to every text . The outside firepit was a bonus and they even provided wood. If I ever get back to Quincy I would most definitely to stay here again. I highly recommend The Quincy Cottage to a group of friends or a family vacation.

2nd time staying here - owners are wonderful !House is as described online - we really appreciate the cleanliness of the home!Will stay again when visiting our son at Quincy. Understand it would be impossible to provide beds that everyone likes…these beds are very firm, if that’s your preference you’re in luck. Personally we prefer softer, but everything else about the home and the attentive owners, will keep us coming back.

Cottage was perfect place for us to stay as we moved our son into college. Communication with hosts-excellent. Cleanliness-excellent. Location-excellent. Neighborhood was quiet & we felt safe. Home decorated nicely, plenty of towels, kitchen seemed well furnished, although we didn’t cook while we were there. Upstairs 1/2 bath is very small, but believe they did best they could with the design of this older home. Beds are very firm. Appreciated the laundry facilities in basement—clean & washer/dryer worked well. Would stay here again when back in Quincy.

We came to visit Nauvoo and your home was the nearest available for our dates. We basically slept and left. It is a super charming and very clean. Sharing the shower was a little tricky but doable. Thanks so much for sharing your home. Check in was super easy, instructions were nice to have on the table and the kitchen was great. We didnt' use it except for refridgerating drinks.

Home Away from Home

I can’t even begin to tell you how great our stay was. Beth really goes above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. She even added a personal note and gift for my son because she knew he was in Quincy to compete in the junior nationals for pool. My favorite thing is the little sunroom/office with the view of the neighbor’s cat, which is the perfect place to read a book. My son’s favorite thing is the ping pong table where my family (of amateurs) has spent hours playing on and it’s always so much fun! We love this little cottage and look forward to our stay year after year! (Pictured is the view of the neighbor’s porch & cat) :)

Perfect Place!

We have stayed here a number of times. We would not stay anywhere else when we visit Quincy! Accommodations are perfect - clean and very up to date. Love the full kitchen and Keurig. Host communicates quickly with me when needed. I wouldn't change a thing. Can't wait to come back!

Holiday Visit

The Quincy Cottage was perfect for our needs. The kids enjoyed the game room and board games as well as the sunroom area. The hosts were very attentive and prompt with communication. Would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful, comfortable, immaculately clean

The hosts have thought of every detail to make your stay perfect. The home has updated appliances, modern furniture and lovely architectural detail. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable. The A/C was very effective during a heatwave. We plan to stay at this property on our next trip.

Wonderful stay! This is one of the best VRBO experiences we've had (and we've had many). Place was better than described - clean, comfortable, with nice extras to make the stay great (laundry detergent pods, comfortable towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc.). Owners were very responsive and very thoughtful, with a little housewarming gift waiting upon arrival. Can't say enough good things about this place - we loved it! We will definitely book this VRBO again next year!

The Quincy Cottage is a charming & lovely place to stay. It is comfortable, well stocked with essentials and has everything you may need for your time there. Home away from home

This was our 3rd time staying at the Quincy cottage. I cannot recommend this place enough!! Beth has thought of everything to make our stay feel like home! Her personal touches and attention to our individual needs has exceeded our expectations every time. She is readily available if we were to need anything.

Absolute gem!

I highly recommend this property! It’s so beautiful, in a wonderful location, extremely comfortable and had everything we could need and then some. Beth and Kevin are very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. It is so evident that have The Cottage is a passion of theirs and it shows in all of the sweet and personalized details that they arranged for us as a welcome. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the basement with an entire game room and cool hang out was wonderful for our kids! The kitchen was great to make meals in and we loved being able to eat at one of the two dining tables. Parking is so easy and private parking in the shade in the back of the house. Big and lovely backyard. The kids and I walked to Culver’s for frozen custard every day (it’s less than a 5 minute walk, and also nearby parks and historical and beautiful homes). I can’t recommend this property enough. We live far away, but would travel to Quincy again just to stay in such a lovely home and enjoy more of beautiful and quaint Quincy! 10 out of 10! Our kids didn’t want to leave.

We had a fantastic 13 nights in this property. Great location within walking distance to shops & restaurants. Superb host who responds promptly even when I originally enquired from the UK with a 6 hour time difference.

Delightful home

Beth has the most charming home I’ve ever stayed in. It was extremely clean and very comfortable for us. My adults sisters were there to celebrate our mother‘s 70th birthday, coming from three states. Beth added many unexpected but very kind personal touches, from birthday balloons and candies to a card and candles. She went above and beyond as a host to make our time there memorable. We would highly recommend this location. You will not be disappointed.

Peaceful and comfy

Our stay at Quincy Cottage was so nice. The home was just perfect for our stay. The hosts were very thoughtful and went over and above to make sure we were taken care of. Adorable Place to Escape with Friends!

My husband and I stayed here with 2 other couples while we were in town for a Quincy U Lady Hawks basketball game. Not only was it clean, convenient, and as advertised - the hosts added personal touches to the welcome packet. They were also very responsive to messages. There are a couple of great places to hang out in and outside the house, it is close to campus, and the neighborhood is well lit and safe. We did not bring kids, but the play kitchen showcased it is kid friends as well. Our friends from Quincy will be recommending this house to other guests who come to visit, and we will stay again on our next trip!

Family Visit

This is a great place for families to stay. We were in town to visit our daughter who attends Quincy University. Its location is great for visiting the school, groceries and local outings. The house was well stocked. My grandson loved having the ping pong table and board games and I think my husband loved having another “tv” area. The weather was great so we were even able to enjoy the fire pit. We will definitely be back!

The layout of the Quincy Cottage is very unique. The view from the street makes the home seem quite small, however, the size actual of the cottage surprises all of our guests. It feels cozy & friendly.
