Enjoy a night away from the city in this cozy cabin (600sq/ft). Fit with some familiar amenities of home but tucked into the woods. Located across the street from Lake Cavanough. Roomy deck with views of the lake. Comfortable for 2 adults plus a futon for extra guests. WiFi hotspot. Local trails and fishing. Bike riding around the lake. Public boat launch less than 2 miles down the road. The house water is drinkable but, we usually buy bottle water for taste. There is a PUR filter pitcher provided that tastes great. There is a nice fireplace. Some wood may be provided. Depending on the season. Come chill on the deck and read a book. Snuggle up and watch a movie. Or catch up on some mutch needed rest.
When I purchased this cabin in 2000, there was still an outhouse on the property. I have made a few improvements including the fireplace and new appliances. I have been commuting 100 miles round trip to work for years. After I finally got a place closer to work, I wanted to share this Sweet Retreat with like minded individuals. This has become a very relaxing space for me to get away from the busy city life. I hope that your stay is relaxing and peaceful.
I am originally from Minnesota. I grew up camping and enjoying the Boundary waters canoe area. The lake cavanough area reminds me of home. I fell in love with it the first time I drove up here. I hope you do to.
This is a very cool place to hang out. It is so quiet at night. You can really hear the sounds of nature. The trees keep the air clean and the temperature is a little bit cooler up in the foothills of the cascade mountain range. If you are lucky, you will hear the owls hoo hoo at night. Local legend says that it is good luck and a blessing.
