Superbe contemporain. 3 chambres / 3 salles de bain complètes. 3200 pieds carrés, y compris le niveau inférieur de sortie (terminé en 2015). La maison dispose d'une grande cuisine (mise à jour 2018) et d'une grande chambre avec vue panoramique sur le lac. Grande terrasse, véranda en cèdre, grand patio avec foyer, suite parentale au 1er étage. 1er étage den avec canapé-lit queen. 2 chambres au dessus. Le niveau inférieur comprend un couchage pour 4 personnes, une salle de bain complète, une aire de jeux et une salle familiale avec une grande télévision à écran plat. Se promène dans le patio / foyer. Comprend un réfrigérateur supplémentaire pour des boissons supplémentaires et un accès facile au lac. Tous les meubles sont neufs en 2015, nouvelle moquette au niveau inférieur. 2 kayaks disponibles sans frais supplémentaires.

The perfect place

Our family really enjoyed our time at this house. It’s very clean, has a great view of the lake, and feels very private. The check in process was seamless. This is a place I would definitely return to.

Great location

Beautiful property on Clam Lake. Very quiet area. Great spot to dock/rent a boat and enjoy Clam Lake and Torch Lake. House is very spacious with very comfortable beds.

Great house and location

We enjoyed our stay. Boated to torch one day and down grass river to lake bellaire another day. Caught perch and pike and had fun tubing. Loved campfire and star gazing. Played board games on our rainy night. House was great size for our group. Thank you!!

Great location

House is beautiful! Smooth process for renting out, and host receptive. Had everything we needed. Quiet area and so easy to rent a boat and have it docked! Beds were comfortable too!

Best view on Clam Lake

We had the best time on our annual family summer vacation. The accommodations were perfect for our family with 4 teenagers. We did bring our pontoon and were able to enjoy both Lake Bellaire (35 min river ride) and the Torch Lake Sandbar (50 min ride). Cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Thank you!

Quiet location on Clam Lake

Wonderful home on Clam Lake. Beautiful views from the deck. Enjoy your morning coffee on the pier and close out the evening at the fire pit/patio. Clean and well appointed. Shelly was a great host and answered any questions quickly.

Wonderful home & property

Family & friends stayed together here to celebrate 2 birthdays. We enjoyed boating on Torch, Clam, & Lake Bellaire. Loved the convenience of having our boat right here on the dock. Got to go out at night to see the Northern Lights! Lots of room in the house & plenty of ame items we enjoyed. Cooked most meals at the home & enjoyed the nice big kitchen & deck. We noticed that the home has been updated more since the listing photos. Comfortable beds & furniture. We loved it!

Amazing 3 day boat trip the Antrim chain of Lakes

It was myself and my wife, our 6 year old son and 1 year old daughter, my mother and another couple. It was both of the couple’s anniversary, and one of our birthdays. So plenty to celebrate! The house was top notch. It had everything we needed and plenty of room! The first day was rainy so we didn’t get on the boat until the evening, but it’s one of those houses you perfectly content hanging out at. Everything was very clean. Great location. Great dock to tie our 25’ pontoon up to. Shelly was great to communicate with. Great memories were made. We look foward to renting this place again !

Family Fun

This was our second stay at this amazing house and peaceful property! We love it! Shelly is an amazing host! The house is so spacious! We love the pool table, fire pit, kayaks and of course watching the wildlife with beautiful Clam Lake in the backyard! Torch Lake Sandbar is a short 20 minute pontoon ride away! We can wait to come again!

Perfect for our Family

This is a fantastic property with plenty of room both indoors and outdoors. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We rented a boat from Butch’s Marina and it was just a short drive from the property and easy access to Torch lake. We’d definitely stay here again.

Exceeded Expectations!

It all starts with excellent communication with the host before, during and after our stay. This rental has it all, from modern amenities to unique location. Extra large lot and the siting of the home produce privacy that is uncommon for a lakefront rental in that area. The weather was perfect so we didn't need to take advantage of the games or pool table. We didn't even turn the TV on the entire week. With golf, winery, brewery, a secluded beach, and boat rental all very close, the days filled up fast. Grilling and campfires at night equaled a perfect ending. Thanks Shelly and Chris for sharing. See you next year!

Great time!

We had a great time on Clam Lake. I only wish we had more time. The house was perfect. Very clean and everything we needed. We went to Bellaire one night for dinner and had a great time and even decided to go back the next day. We spent one day at Sleeping Bear Dunes too and that was awesome. We always wanted to spend some time in Northern MI and it didn't disappoint so we'll be back. The house was exactly what we were looking for.

Unhappy Ending

Our vacation was wonderful. The home was spacious, clean and stylish. The location was absolutely lovely; private and natural. Upon checkout we followed all closing procedures and left the home in tip top condition. The following day I received an email from the owner with pictures of the house depicting damage and mess. THIS WAS NOT AT ALL HOW WE LEFT THE HOME. I have no idea what happened after we checked out. Perhaps someone was in there? Vandals? Perhaps the cleaning crew staged it? The owner was not willing to entertain any alternative reasons for the damage and charged me an extra $500. VRBO was not helpful in assisting me with the issue and shuffled me from person to person and department to department. There is no clear procedure in place to deal with such predicaments. I have been renting through VRBO for many years and have always received great reviews from owners. I will now be sure to take many photos of the home upon check in and check out and purchase the extra insurance.

We've had a cottage on Clam Lake for over 20 years and we’ve been renting out our home on VRBO for over 10 years. We're from southeast Michigan with plans to retire to Clam Lake someday. MSU Grads, we're also both Automotive professionals. We love to travel and really enjoy hearing from our guests. Our goal is to provide you with a beautiful space to make memories with family and friends, we hope our guests will treat our home with respect and care… this is our pride and joy, not part of a big rental portfolio. We strive to provide the home to you in excellent condition however like any house, issues arise and we want to hear about it if you encounter anything that needs our attention.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Directly on the Lower Chain of Lakes there is boating/kayaking access to Lake Bellaire, Torch Lake, Lake Skegmog and Elk Lake. Quiet rural road, great for walking, running, biking.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There are lots of rentals in our area but we have stunning views of the Grass River Nature Preserve (no houses in our view) only one neighbor and our home sits on 2 acres. Our home is spacious, great for families with an entire lower level “kid zone” with a large sectional couch, tv, pool table, game table, full bathroom and sleeping area where they can all “camp out” together (3 double beds and two sets of twin bunks) there is also direct access to the fire-pit area. The large flat front yard is perfect for setting up volleyball/ badminton.
