Un des rares chalets sur la montagne qui surplombe la ville de Gatlinburg et la station de ski, Lucky D III a une vue spectaculaire de la Parc national des Great Smoky Mountains ainsi. La vue est visible depuis toutes les pièces de la maison et bien sûr du pont majestueux. De ce chalet, vous pouvez regarder les skieurs appréciant les pentes à Ober Gatlinburg, voir touristes juchés le fameux tram aérien et aussi profiter de points de vue de feux d'artifice sur les congés spéciaux. Ce chalet est l'endroit idéal pour un couple ou une petite famille. Lorsque vous séjournez au Lucky D III ou dans l'une de nos propriétés pendant les mois d'été, vous recevrez un laissez-passer pour profiter de 2 piscines situées ici à flanc de montagne.

Lucky D III truly does have an amazing view; you can get a great look at Ober Gatlinburg, which is one of the many attractions that Gatlinburg has to offer. Our cleaning crew does a fantastic job of making sure all the houses are nice and tidy for our guests, and this beautifully decorated house makes for a great family stay. We are so glad that you overall enjoyed your visit, and we hope to see you again soon.

It's not the newest cabin/house, but really well decorated, updated in the last several years, modern conveniences, and everything we needed for the 4 of us. We loved the double decks & the hot tub! The views are amazing - the best we've had in our many trips to the smokies. And on our last night we finally saw a momma bear & her three cubs on the slope right below the hot tub & we watched them forage & meander along - best experience! (No issues with bear, just great viewing!) Highly recommend this spot & Mountain Laurel in general, best company to work with!

Lucky D III is the perfect place for an extended stay! The furniture and décor inside really make it feel like a home. We also love the double decks that allow you optimal viewing of the mountains! Another great feature is the covered carport that is attached to the house. Reviewer Comments: Loved staying in Lucky D III!!Didn’t spend too much time there while the weather was nice, but even with snow, rain, or shine, it had a fantastic view! Especially from the hot tub! Downsides, we noticed our bed wasn’t staying connected(underneath at frame) and there was dirt/popcorn under one of the couches(we moved it to see the tv better), and tile shower could have been a little more clean.Overall, great experience. Would recommend!

Best view on the mountain!

The view from the chalet is stupendous! We got to watch all the activity at Ober Gatlinburg, and the coming & going of the tram. The driveway is tricky, and if you're in a large vehicle be aware that turning around is a process. We thoroughly enjoyed the upstairs living area, but feel that certain areas, especially downstairs, could use updating. The house was clean and well-outfitted with dishes, glasses, etc. We especially enjoyed the upper deck, and the hot tub was great and extremely clean.

Our second choice

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 7th or 8th cabin rental since 2020. Lucky DIII will, most certainly, be one of two cabins that we will book from here on out. Terrific views, the kitchen is very spacious. The parking might make a few people nervous upon approach but, trust me, it's safe. I was able to pull my Sierra in forwards and had enough room to turn around to exit. The master bedroom has a fireplace which is perfect for special occasions. We were celebrating our anniversary and were there Feb 10th thru the 15th. It snowed once but there were zero concerns driving up and down the mountain. You're 1.4 miles from Ober Gatlinburg. We usually park there and take the tram downtown. Excellent choice!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this Chalet. Second stay in Lucky D III. Great location. Great back deck views! The Ober slope and tubing lanes to the right, Mt Lecompte straight ahead, and at night, some of Gatlinburg lights to the left. Another great feature of this chalet is that it is a good enough distance from ( (including some trees between,)both next door neighbors, whereby allowing enough auditory privacy to visit on one's deck, as well as if a neighbor smokes, one won't smell it. Have visited this area 10x and rented several vacation properties( 4 rentals with Mountain Laurel and have been very pleased with this company and have recommended both this property and Mountain Laurel Chalets to friends.

Ober Ober Gatlinburg for Christmas!

A wonderful Christmas with spectacular views, overlooking Ober Gatlinburg...too crowded to get in, at least we could watch the mayhem from afar. They even supplied a tree which was a huge plus! It was the first time I ever had to "buy" firewood for a cabin rental, but the weather unfortunately was so warm, I really didn't need it, but I wanted that Xmas-ambiance for my daughter. I love the art deco feel of the place, which reminds me of the many Xmas'-pasts we've spent in the Smokies. The toaster was so cheap I thought it would float away, but we weren't there for toast & forget trying to sleep as the sheet-like curtains on the east facing windows supply a sun-spotlight that'll blind ya at 6am...Oh, and in December you would think the beds would have a substantial blanket or a quilt for God's sake, no...That's really the biggest down flaw, so bring your own or pray it's warm. Other than nitpicking about that, I'd definitely stay there again! The price was a bit high, maybe once the economy gets a little better it will too. SO!- Buy firewood: check, Bring blackout curtains: check, Bring extra blankets that are not provided: check. Then enjoy the serenity & the view. Happy 2022!!

Wonderful Chalet - Spectacular View

Reviewer Comments: Having honeymooned in the Smokies 37 years ago, we have returned dozens of times throughout the years on our anniversary and have stayed at numerous chalets. Lucky D is one of our definite favorites. You won’t get a better view or a better feeling of being secluded in the mountains. With 2 balconies, 2 wood burning fireplaces, and a hot tub we had everything we needed for our romantic week in the mountains. Also loved the updated kitchen and outdoor grilling area. We were sad to leave but can’t wait to return to Lucky D. What an amazing place.

It's all about that mid-century vibe, but each time we come up, the owners have updated it! The upgraded kitchen is just divine and the new LR recliner/sofas are awesome. The view is unsurpassed and they keep the vegetation at bay so that view is unobstructed. We vacation all over the world and Lucky D is a favorite!

All the furnishings were all very comfortable and the view was spectacular from everywhere. Some of the areas need a little work. The closet doors along with some woodwork and caulking are needed throughout the chalet. We enjoyed our stay. Didn’t see any bear but had fun reading the notes other guests wrote that did see bears on their visit!

Loved Lucky D III; Awesome Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 10 day stay at Lucky D III. No complaints. The updates to the home were very nice. The description and photos were accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained. It's always a pleasure renting from Mountain Laurel Chalets. The staff are cheerful, kind and willing to help if there is something you should need. It's nice to be able to connect with a person and not a voicemail. We are coming back again this October 2021 and renting from M.L.C. again. We have been renting a different chalet each visit and have never been disappointed. Many thanks to the owner(s) and to the staff at Mountain Laurel Chalets.

The Chalet was spotless and the views were amazing. The hot tub was cleaned and turned on for us. The area was perfect. We will be back.

The kitchen has all new appliances. I love all the owl decor and wood floors. I love that the bedrooms are downstairs. The view is breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice. An added bonus... BEARS. We seen a bear everyday/night (on the master bedroom side.

So nice to have you back! If a breath-taking view is what you are looking for, then you picked the perfect cabin for your stay. Lucky D III's view is fantastic during every kind of weather and even has a covered deck for those rainy or snowy days. We look forward to hearing from you again soon.
