Very cozy, well-stocked vacation home in great location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at this location. The kitchen is great and has all the things you need. The beds are comfortable, the home was very clean, and the AC worked well for the hot weather during our trip. Only drawback is that the TV is on the smaller side which impacted our family movie nights that we like to have once its dark.

End of Summer Family getaway

Good house in the middle of the Ranch. Worked out great for our family who was busy taking advantage of all the things BBR has to offer.

Difficult

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very nicely decorated rental. No way to adjust temp. Like being in a unit with NO HEAT. We were very cold and were able to borrow a small portable heater which was not much help. My husband was coming down the stairs and stepped on the small rug at the bottom. The loose rug skidded out from under him and he fell. He's 89 years old. He was sore for a number of days but he didn't break any bones. Wow.

Pleasant stay at Black Butte

Reviewer Comments: We had a pleasant stay at this vacation rental (we're a repeat renter so this property was known to us), and chose this location because it is close to bike paths and not far from several pools. It is also well stocked with cookware, dishware, condiments, and other kitchen supplies so all of our meals were eaten here. We did have an issue with the shade umbrella breaking in breezy conditions, but fortunately this was near the end of our stay and was taken care of by the property management.

A decent option

This property is a fine option. We have stayed in better and we have stayed in worse. It had a fine location to easily get to South Meadow and Glaze Meadow. It can sleep 6 people comfortably. There was constant construction going on in a neighboring property which was extremely noisy and kept most animal sightings away. It was private and quiet other than that. I feel like the property could have been cleaner, there was dust on the appliances (the stove especially, which I didn't expect. Overall, it was a decent place to stay for the week.

Cute home nestled in a great part of the ranch

This home was a great fit for our recent stay at Black Butte. We very much enjoyed the porch/deck area with the hammocks and porch swing. This home works well if there are people who need a first floor bedroom and bathroom.We very much enjoyed the location of the home in the ranch as it’s tucked off a side street and very quiet. Also it’s not super far from the Welcome Center and it’s close to the Glaze Meadow pool. A few minor suggestions would be:-both showers had ability to produce scalding hot water. You have to be very careful with the temperature adjustment. A slight turn in the wrong direction could be bad.-the upstairs shower is very small and has almost no room for soap or shampoo besides the shower floor. -cabinet hardware on the kitchen cabinets would make it much easier to open and close cabinets without making a bunch of noise.

Great location for biking to glaze meadow or lodge pools, walking to Aspen lake or south meadow pool. The kitchen is very well stocked with nice cooking/dining supplies and pantry seasonings. The large (almost wrap around) porch is perfect for morning and evening relaxing. There are also plenty of towels and cleaning sundries. The mattresses were mediocre at best but we were provided with a complimentary assortment of coffee to compensate for not great sleep. The kitchen and bathroom cupboards are set with mouse traps (one casualty during our stay) which makes a few of us a little jumpy. But I realize those critters can be difficult to get rid of. Luckily the house next door that is under major renovation wasn’t actively being worked on during our stay.

The house was great: good layout, well-stocked kitchen, impressive list of recent best-sellers on the bookshelf, and good outdoor set-up for dinners outside. There were a couple more spiders than we're used to, but the toddler enjoyed them! Overall a great experience, would love to stay here again.

Needs a Deep Clean/Nice home

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was a perfect size/layout for us. Plenty of kitchen utensils/plates and a nice deck. Overall it needs a deep cleaning. The floors were filthy. Lotsa cobwebs and dust. There is construction going on nearby which could account for some of the dust but I don't think it's had a deep clean in quite some time.We checked out on July 22nd and are still waiting for the return of our security deposit (now 8/7). I'm told it's in the mail but I expect this process to be more professional and timely.

Great Location and very comfortable

Loved the location although a little walk to Glaze Meadow pool, but tolerable. Appliances were updated, kitchen was fully stocked, and appreciated all the extra' like spice, and other pantry items. Leather couches and beds were very comfortable. I have rented many homes at BBR, and would rent this one again as long as group is small. Loved the air conditioning as it was pretty warm outside. I guess one negative is that it needs a deep cleaning, a lot of dust and cobwebs, and even met a few of the culprits (spiders). I expect a little given the home was pet friendly, but the fixtures and deco' were pretty dusty. We did appreciate the theme of native american and Pendleton blankets. Thanks for sharing your home, it was a nice week at BBR.

Family week at Black Butte Ranch

We are homeowners at Black Butte and every year we have our entire family spend a week together. Our home suits two families and we need space for more. This house fit the bill and everyone who stayed there was very comfortable. The outdoor deck space is a great place to relax and read or enjoy your morning coffee.The only thing I will point out is that there was hair on the shower wall. This is obviously a housekeeping issue and just think a spot check before leaving should take care of issues like this.We would like to rent this house again if it matches our family week next year.

Great home for our family to be together

The back deck was roomy and the porch swing was perfect to lull our 5 month old granddaughter to sleep. The kitchen is well equipped and we appreciated having ice available from the freezer. AC was wonderful to have as we had a warm week. Location is an easy walk or bike ride to either South Meadow or Glaze pools.

Great Black Butte Escape.

This house was comfortable, well appointed and stocked for a great week at Black Butte. The large wrap-around porch with swing, comfy hammocks and reclining lawn chairs looks out on the high desert forest where chipmunks play and large bucks saunter by. It is a quick bike ride to both South Meadow and Glaze Meadow pools and rec center.
