The STUDIO by Brandt is located at the heart of historic Downtown Northville.

Welcome to The STUDIO located on the 3rd floor of the historic Northville Records Building. This location is ideal: quietly and secretly situated at the center of historic Downtown Northville. The building is at the northwest corner of Main and Center Streets. The building once housed the Northville Records which was the areas source for news and advertising. Today, the building has a few commercial tenants including Brandt Real Estate. The studio apartment was completely updated a few years ago making it more functional with full bathroom, complete kitchen and laundry facilities, and independent comfort control inside the studio. We went with a rustic modern style, opened the space, added skylights and other enhancements. This STUDIO apartment is the only residential space in the building, making it quite unique and more peaceful especially during evening and nighttime hours.

The studio is perfect if you want to be IN downtown and a walk away from everything. The space was clean, set up nicely, and being able to have our dog with us worked out very well. It has a full kitchen which would allow for cooking your own meals for some reason you didn’t want to enjoy all of the amazing restaurants within walking distance. The stairs to the studio are a bit steep however we navigated them fine. The host was responsive via the chat feature and very polite. The Murphy bed was comfortable although we are used to a king sized mattress so it was a little tight, but again, very comfortable.

This was perfect for my short weekend trip to northville. The location is great and the view is awesome. This studio was designed in a beautiful way and I loved looking out the windows. The building is historic. This is not a two-bedroom apartment but a studio. The Murphy bed is on the floor. It is a three floor walk up a very steep stairway. I enjoyed the dishwasher and washing machines, which made everything very convenient. The owners' business is right downstairs but I didn't need their help. It is a little tricky finding the entryway. Look for a small gate in a gap between two buildings. Overall, a great place to stay for my needs. I liked the cool decor and the great view a lot.

i didn’t stay here one of the beds are a air mattress , floors are sinked in too many stairs are very steep it’s not a two bedroom just a studio the bed is on the floor i donot recommend for this to be in northville mi it could’ve been way better

This stay made traveling with our pets very easy. The inly thing I would caution is that the stairs are a bit steep so be careful letting your dog go down them.

My daughter and I stayed for three nights. We had our dog with us as well. It’s a very cute property, and we were quite comfortable. As stated by others, the stairs are very steep and narrow. Be aware if you have mobility issues. We felt like the floors hadn’t been mopped for a while, but everything else was very clean. We would definitely stay again!

Cute and creatively appointed loft in downtown Northville. Clean and enjoyed upgraded bathroom. Nice and quiet. Stairs are definitely steep and not recommended for elderly.Murphy Bed is on the floor and would highly recommend host buy a frame and put mattress on top of frame for easier use. We enjoyed, were able to manage and will stay again. Thank you!

Great location right in downtown Northville and walkable to everything. The studio is charming and well furnished. The kitchen has great appliances and everything you need to make meals. The furniture is comfy. The bathroom is well-equipped and the laundry facilities are great to have for longer stays. I recommend this studio and would like to stay again when we are in town.

Great location, not two bedrooms

This is a wonderful studio in downtown Northville. You can walk to pretty much any kind of restaurant that you want. There are galleries and a lovely little wine store around the corner. The property is properly advertised as a studio. However, I had searched with the filter for two bedrooms, and I didn’t fully realize that there would not be two private spaces. This is to say that this is a perfect location for a small family or a couple. However, if you hope to have a little bit of privacy and there’s more than two of you, it’s a little tight.Aside from that, the property was well equipped and completely adorable.

I loved this top floor studio nestled in the heart of charming downtown Northville. In town for several nights to perform at the local theatre, this find was truly a gem. The space is beautifully designed with stylish decor, abundant natural light and thoughtful touches that made it feel arty and fun. Staying in the peak of summer, the AC kept the unit cool for great sleep, much appreciated. Lisa is a wonderful host, accommodating and thoughtful. Other reviews mention steep stairs and bed confusion. Two flights of stairs, yes, but not a challenge for us. The single bed is a full sized Murphy bed, softer mattress. Tip! It's under a skylight, so bring a sleep mask if you plan on sleeping in. There is a blow up mattress as well. I slept well, zero street noise.Ate at several amazing restaurants, make sure to try Rebecca's (lunch) and The Exchange (open late). Don't skip the Old Mill Park. And of course, do explore the amazing Tipping Point Theatre.

Clean. Comfortable. Stylish and relaxing.My husband and I lost our beloved pup 4 days prior to out trip- we had planned to stay w/him- We thought about canceling but are super glad we did not. The loft provided peace we didnt expect. The first night We forgot to register our vehicle for the overnight parking and the hosts were so accomodating that they got the ticket we got cleared w the local police. We have local friends in northville we were visiting- so we will absolutely be back- again and again.

We were expecting a 2 bedroom condo with a merphy bed and a queen. That was what was advertised. What we got was a one room studio apartment with one Murphy bed and no second bed. The owner told us that he would bring over an air mattress and have it ready to go by the time we got back when my show was over, which was 8:00P. He didn’t show up with the mattress until 9:45PM.He blamed VRBO for the false advertising and said that we would get a full refund. I am 74 years old and after standing all day, and moving furniture around I was very uncomfortable on an air mattress that was hard and made loud noises every time I moved. There were NO bedrooms! Just a mattress on the floor. If you can help me in anyway to get a full refund I would appreciate it. I realize that this is in no way your fault. The owner is at fault for false advertising. Thank you for any help you can give me.

My husband and I moved our real estate business to this building in 2017. The building had this very dated, and not very well cared for apartment which we saw great potential. We originally completely remodeled it to have a place for visiting family and friends to stay. And, from time to time, we offered to our customers that were making a transition to Michigan from another state. Many of those that stayed, suggested we look into marketing the property as a vacation rental. We made other improvements, thoroughly equipped the property with daily essentials, and away we went. It’s been a great experience. We love sharing this space with others and hearing how much it was enjoyed.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We have lived in and around the City of Northville for over 20 years. We eventually moved to downtown and years later moved our business to the City of Northville. The Northville Records Building presented an excellent opportunity with enough love, care, time and investment. We have made significant improvements to the building over the years. With a location at the center point of downtown Northville, we are able to conveniently take advantage of everything Northville City has to offer (stroll through town, festivals, shopping, parks, restaurants, etc.). The building is very well known, we have great tenants, and love being a historic highlight of the town.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The Studio is unique for many reasons. The location is amazing. It is the only short-term accommodation in the central business district. For the amount of space we had to work with, having a full kitchen, laundry, bathroom with plenty of open living space for living, sleeping and dining is impressive. While staying, you’ll find the building solid, secure and super quiet during the late hours as this is the only residential space in the building.
