• There is no interior stairs between the main unit and the separate English Basement.
Check-in: Smart locks will automatically grant access at 4:00 PM.
Check-out: Smart locks will automatically revoke access at 11:00 AM.
• I am here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. Our home offers a self check-in/check-out process. You`ll receive detailed instructions five days before your arrival, and on the night before your departure.
• We`ll provide a link to our House Manual with Parking Information. There are also helpful notes posted throughout the home for your convenience.

Welcome to the vibrant Bloomingdale neighborhood in DC! This area is brimming with history, charm, and modern appeal, making it a favorite among professionals, families, and longtime residents alike. You`ll love being just steps away from DC`s best neighborhood bar, The Pub & The People, some of the city`s best gourmet coffee shops, and a variety of trendy restaurants to suit every taste. Plus, Harris Teeter is just a 5-min drive, so you`ll have everything you need right at your fingertips. And if you`re up for some adventure, the lively U Street nightlife scene is just a quick 10-15 minute stroll away. We`re thrilled to share this amazing neighborhood with you!
• Historical elements cannot be altered; the front entrance to the English basement is marked by an unusually low ceiling; guests are recommended to access the English basement from the backyard via the side alleyway.
• This is our primary home. We`ve locked some rooms, doors, and drawers to secure our personal belongings, but the rest of the house is yours to enjoy!
• We take great pride in keeping our home sparkling clean, and we appreciate your help maintaining that standard during your stay. Your contribution makes all the difference in offering a top-notch home-sharing experience for everyone. Thank you!
• Guests located within a 50-mile radius of Washington, D.C. require pre-approval before booking. Reservation made without pre-approval will be subject to cancellation per guest`s Cancellation Policy.
• No parties, pre-games, or events. Visitors are limited to one to two close friends or family members.
• DC Noise Ordinance: Quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday to Sunday. It`s the law!
• Speakers are prohibited from being used to play loud music at any time, including outdoors.
• Shoes are not permitted inside the house.
• Indoor smoking is prohibited; a fine of $300 per night will be imposed.
• Additional overnight guests beyond the reservation will incur a fee of $30 per person per night.
• Unauthorized late checkouts past 11:00 AM will incur a fee of $100 per extra hour to cover the cost of cleaning delay.
• Any mess left behind that requires a deep cleaning will result in a fee of $200 to cover the cost of additional cleaning.
