Secluded peaceful spot. Hosts included many small touches to make the stay pleasant. If youâre looking for an off grid but comfortable experience in this area of New York State. I would definitely recommend.
Amazing cabin and outhouse! Very clean and organized, was able to meet with the owner and helped walk through how to use the shower. Incredibly friendly and easygoing, we enjoyed old forge and the shops, very fun trip we expect to take again! Overall wonderful experience we canât wait to do!
This is a precious gem you will feel honored to enjoy. Rick thought of many things to make the stay cozy and convenient while still being offgrid and dependent on rain water, cool! Great place to unwind
Spent 2 nights here while hunting Tug Hill with my dog Rhu - great find has everything you need and more. Beautiful secluded property looking forward to coming back up.
Stayed here with my girlfriend, we had an amazing time. Facilities were excellent, even the outhouse was extremely clean. Would recommend and book again!
We had a great stay. The owners were super friendly and helpful and very detail oriented. The property was an excellent place to get away and relax. We will definitely be going back ! Thanks again !
We had a great time - hiking every day, enjoying the solitude, stargazing, building a fire every night. No internet and spotty service which was just what we needed!
We stayed a week. The cabin was clean and cozy. Helpful notes throughout the cabin, shower room, and outhouse đ. It's definitely a place to come relax and unplug. The hosts were so helpful with any questions we had prior to and during our trip. Would definitely recommend! Hope we come again to stay. We might check out their other cabins. Also, lots of hiking and biking trails, along with beautiful lakes and rivers for kayaking and canoeing. Don't miss this off the grid gem!!đ
during our trip.
A wonderful quiet - apart from the very lovely song of the birds who fill the wood.
A rustic experience not to forget - unlike some characterless places with running water and easy warmth. A splendid place to pray and play and read and rest.
The brisk Cold mornings praying the psalms while heating the wood stove for the room with the shower - will remain in memory as well.
My friend Rachelle invited me to stay with her at this Cabin. I was so pleasantly surprised. I was amazed at how well it was built and thought out. We stayed here at the end of June for 4 days. The weather did not cooperate but that was OK. 3 days of rain and cool weather with no humidity made it very Cozy. Especially sitting out on the patio with the fire in the fireplace at night. So relaxing and quiet. All the wood having been cut and stacked with kindling was very cool. Birding was amazing, a whole family of Ravens visited, Wood Thrushes singing, red breasted nuthatches and lot's of Woodpeckers. What really amazed me is how well stocked and organized the cabin was, and clean and tidy. Being an antique car restore and coming from an engineering background i was really impressed by the Solar power setup and especially the hard work that went into the the rainwater fed shower house. Complete with wood stove and Propane water heater. Very cool. We had plenty of fresh rainwater that weekend. At first i thought this was too primitive and wasn't sure when i first arrived but by the time i left is said i would love to live like this. Just maybe not during the winter. I just can't say enough what an enjoyable vacation this was being back to nature. Made me feel like a Boyscout kid again. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone that want's to rough it a little and experience a one of kind stay. Joe Shukay
We are on fifty acres of pine woods and each cabin is situated privately at each end of the property to ensure our guests have their own spot of quiet relaxation.
