Comfortable house in a pretty wooded area close to Woodstock. The host was helpful and responsive. The hot tub is an added bonus. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Miraz.
The inside of the place was gorgeous and felt so comfortable! There was a lot of branches and leaves on the back deck and patio from all the thunderstorms but didnât have a problem cleaning up. Over all one of my best stays!
Owner was very responsive and easy to work with, cabin is well designed and in good location. The outdoor hot tub was easy to use and very nice. "Luxury" is a subjective word but not how I would describe the cabin....kitchen was a bit grimy in spots, very basic kitchen supplies, bathroom is a bit dated as well and hot water was inconsistent in the shower. Also note that the fireplace is gas despite one or two reviews mentioning 'wood burning'. Overall we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the cabin but were a little underwhelmed with the 'luxury' and 'newly renovated' expectations.
The cabin in Woodstock was a great getaway. It is beautifully situated in the woods and has a wonderful feeling of serenity.; Unfortunately we were unable to use the gas barbecue since it was very greasy and rusty. It should not have been listed as a feature of the cabin. The place had all necessary instructions for the area and hot tub and the entry. Other than that there was no communication with the owner. We found that missing since in all our stays in the US and UK the owner calls at least once to ask if all's well.
Very clean and well maintained house. More if the comforts of home than typical small Catskills cabins. 5 minutes to Woodstock city center with lots of great restaurants. Hot tub was a great addition. The only minor challenges were the living room couch which is not the most comfortable but itâs not a huge issue if youâre spending most of your time exploring out of the house. And the gas fireplace stove makes a loud noise when it kicks on and off and made me think the house was being broken into. Once I realized that was not the case, we got used to it and it just became background noise (pretty standard for us city folks). That being said, the stove plus the portable radiator in the bedroom kept us warm and cozy on a few 20 degree nights. Would definitely recommend this place.
The property was acceptable, but not exactly what we expected. It's in need of general updating in our opinion, and seemed to be a little of this and a little of that.
Linens were just ordinary, AC was taped in to prevent air escaping i assume, just generally, nothing special.
To be clear and fair, we am used to a "special" feeling when we entered previous places, but in our opinion, this was nothing special, just adequate.
The stay worked but to us, there is not a lot of attention being paid to this house, and the fact this is one of several by the owner might account for that.
I would have liked to say this is a must, but, it isn't and if my friends or family asked, I would not recommend it, as there are better properties available.
My partner and I rented this space to get some R&R. We loved the location in Woodstock. While were some nice perks to the space - especially the hot tub and fireplace - we were a bit disappointed for the price. Most of all, the hot tub badly needed a cleaning (there was mold growing on the rim and on the insides of the tub) and it was not as secluded as expected. There are two large homes that look right into the backyard where the hot tub is located. We were also disappointed that the lawn chairs on the porch were broken. So, despite the nice Spring weather, we could not use them. Lastly, the place was just generally needed some updating. The bathroom was outdated and rusty, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, the WiFi was spotty (despite lovely weather), and the amenities outdated (there was a sound system on the wall, but you could only listen to radio and CDs - no streaming). All in all the place has promised, but itâs way overpriced for the quality.
Neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful, and we saw deer daily out back. When in the hot tub you felt like you were in the middle of the forest. The home was beautiful and clean and allowed us to explore some great local hiking trails and the beautiful town of Woodstock. Def recommend!
my husband, 2 small griffs and I have stayed at Mirav's homes numerous times through the years, we love coming back because they are always great, comfy, and in incredible locations, we really love Woodstock and to know we can come back to a familiar place is so comforting. thanx so much Mirav for everything, we can't wait to come back.
best, Jessie, Jay, Mayhem & Havoc
The cabin is clean with modern appliances and nice views out the windows. We enjoyed the hot tub many times and the fireplace for a very romantic getaway.
This is the second summer that Iâve rented one of the cabins. Each time itâs been a delight. This one is adorable, with everything youâd need for 1 or 2 people. The deck is wonderful. And, btw, my dog loved this little nest of a house. Five stars!
