Summary:
Fauna House, a house built in 1905, features 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, enhanced with soothing green and blue accents that create a fresh, inviting atmosphere. Bare brick fireplaces serve as striking focal points within the bedrooms, adding character and warmth to the home. Wood accents enrich the cozy aesthetic, making this residence a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm. Ideal for families or those seeking room to entertain, this home offers a welcoming retreat in a vibrant setting.

The Space:
The interior features an extra large primary bedroom with a King bed, a fireplace (non-working), and an en suite full bathroom. The Queen Bedrooms offer a large space, a fireplace (non-working), and antique furnishings. Across the hall you'll find a charming bedroom with a Queen bed and plenty of closet space. Rooms share the full bath in the hallway. There is a full-size washer and dryer. The large living area features a queen-size sofa bed. The kitchen is newly renovated and includes open shelving and new appliances, as well as dining for 8.


This is unit is fully licensed and legal with the City of Charleston under STR Operational Permit OP2025-06570 and Business License BL031151-02-2023

Each of our vacation rentals is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and allows for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests’ stay will be provided the day prior to your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, our team would be happy to assist.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the Campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost. Day Passes are available with required pre-registration via a link that will be shared with you upon booking.

Day pass reservations at The Wonderer for guests of this property are completely free of charge. The Wonderer’s on-site parking lot is a paid lot, however there is free on-street parking in the area subject to availability.

Please note: availability at The Wonderer is not guaranteed without a confirmed reservation. The number of available day passes remains strictly first-come, first-serve. If you plan to enjoy The Wonderer anytime between April 15th - September 1st, we strongly suggest booking in advance to guarantee access.

The Wonderer has a minimum age requirement of 25 years old (unless you're a member, a guest of a member, or receive a special exception from club management).

The house is located in the heart of the charming and trendy Cannonborough-Elliotborough district of Downtown Charleston. With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree-lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston's classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun and relaxing vacation. The house is minutes to the very popular Upper King Street district where you will find a multitude of great shops, bookstores, and fashion boutiques - as well as amazing restaurants!

Getting Around:
You can walk anywhere and everywhere in Charleston, but just in case, here is a list of the top transportation services:

The DASH trolley is free in Charleston. There are 3 routes, and two of the routes have stops just blocks from this property. More information can be found with the route map on the DASH website.

As much as we love furry companions, pets are not allowed at this property. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If a pet and/or pet evidence is found at the home we reserve the right to charge a $150/pet fee.

Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. A fine will be charged ($300) for any in-room smoke evidence. If you wish to smoke, please do so at least 10 feet away from the building outdoors.

🧳 Luggage Drop-Off:
We are pleased to offer our guests convenient luggage storage through our partnership with Charleston Bag Valet, a trusted local provider. This service allows you to securely drop off your luggage before check-in or after check-out, so you can explore and enjoy your time in Charleston without the inconvenience of carrying your bags. Please note that additional fees apply for this service.

Our home is in a vibrant neighborhood just steps from King Street’s dining and nightlife. While that energy is part of the experience, city noise may be heard. Please be advised that:
⭐ A local noise ordinance is in effect from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
⭐ Guests must be respectful of neighbors during these hours.
⭐ We do not offer refunds for noise-related issues that are to be expected of the location.

This was the best vrbo I have ever stayed in! The host stayed in communication with me even though we rented over 6 months prior to our stay. The house was clean and perfect for us! I would recommend all my friends going to Charleston to stay in this home!

Wonderful Spot

I came here with a group of 9 girls and we had a wonderful time. I was worried it would be smaller than the pictures made it look, but it was very spacious and we had plenty of room. The house and neighborhood are just beautiful, check in was simple, and the host was great at communicating with us. The only thing I would change is we definitely needed more toilet paper than why was provided, and wish there was a mirror in every bedroom. We needed them with 9 girls getting ready to go out every night lol. But overall, wonderful experience and would definitely recommend!

Great stay in Charleston

We very much enjoyed our stay in Charleston. The house was very clean and well kept, and a great size for our family (7 people). It was walking distance from King Street and many of the shops and restaurants, which was nice for day & night time activities. The hosts were extremely friendly and attentive, and did everything they could to make our stay great. And I’m glad to say they succeeded! Thanks for a great experience.

Super location, apartment is just as described and pictured. Clear communication with staff. No issues. Walking distance to King Street. Would stay there again.

Charming!

My friends and I had a lovely time at this charming townhome. Our plans for our vacation got wonky at the last minute, but most of us were still able to make our stay. The roads were snowy and icy, so we weren’t able to do as many sightseeing adventures as we would’ve liked. All the more reason to come back again!
