Great property to explore and experience Wellfleet Bay- tides made for great views, especially from the upstairs deck. Great location to get into downtown Wellfleet, biking is tremendous (and can mostly navigate to avoid Route 6), kayaking in the bay is special, nice mix of ocean, bay, and kettle ponds--all in all great experience! Only recommendation would be more lighting in the kitchen, but overall tremendous experience.
We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful, secluded home. It is very close to a conservation area that borders Blackfish Creek - a new surprise for us. Kayaks were a plus. The owner was always responsive and helpful to our inquiries. Thanks, Danâ
Wonderful property and location. Central to just about all things on the Cape. Great deck overlooking the bay for quite and relaxation, family bbq for dinner and breakfasts. Plenty of space in side the home as well. Enjoyed use of kayaks in the bay with the family.
Beautiful home in a peaceful setting with water views and path to water. Perfect for our family with three teenage sons who love to kayak and fish. Close to wonderful restaurants, golf, and National Seashore. Everyone had their own space and office adjacent to master suite was great for remote work during the week. Well equipped and very comfortable. Hosts were extremely helpful.
My family was looking for a getaway in Covid times and this house fit the bill. The house is in a great location for ponds and beaches a restaurants for takeout. But we also had plenty of fun without even leaving the property. We cooked a lot and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware. The kayaks were great. The house itself has lots of space for spreading out. And the view - wow. The owner answered all of my questions quickly, and even gave us a tip on where to find a less populated beach.
Spending time on the Cape has been a family tradition for over 30 years. This yearâs vacation was a memorable one largely due to the time we spent at this beautiful home. Spacious, quiet and well maintained, our expectations were exceeded in every category. The homeâs design gave everyone a sense of privacy and each bedroom having its own bathroom was terrific. Being able to sit on the deck and see the water was a real bonus. Walking on the couldnât be closer beach was great. The amenities such as a gas grill, bicycles, beach chairs and even kayaks were readily available. We recommend this home to anyone looking to have a truly memorable vacation!
Perfect location in Soutth Welfleet , with views of the marshes and the bay beyond. Comfortable , lots of windows and light, up to date decor and, clean and well appointed Great decks and outdoor dining area.
The master bedroom upstairs is lovely and a special treat of the house. The first floor bedroom is nice and comfortable but the third bedroom is an attic one that can be hot and lack breeze. Needs a little more ventilation. Thereâs a first floor den/ sun room that would make a lovely extra bedroom.
The owner is very nice and responsive and was available for any questions and a quick repair.
Overall a great house that we enjoyed being in. We took advantage of the views of nature from inside and outside from the ample windows and lovely outside decks.
We loved our time here which was way to short ( 6 days)!and would definitely rent this house again.
Lovely location overlooking water! Plenty of space to gather or be apart for privacy. Great deck !
Great deck overlooking water. Comfortable bedrooms. Easy location off Rt 6. Kitchen a little small but other space all very nice. Kitchen well stocked. Enjoyed using kayaks and exploring inlet just few steps away from house. Definitely would consider renting again.
Very beautiful home with many windows and a great view. We loved staying at this quite peaceful home. The Cape and route 6 gets very busy during the fourth so it was nice to stay at a home away from the traffic and crowds. You felt like you were the only people around with just the birds and the chipmunks. The home is very spacious with areas to get away from others and sit and read or relax.
We loved staying in this house in August 2014. It is light, airy and architecturally beautiful. Though technically three bedrooms, there are many nooks with extra futons and sofa beds for extra guests. The kitchen had everything we needed and opened into the living/family room. The deck was a highlight and really expands the space. The owner provided a book with lots of information, and there was a solid WIFI. Highly recommend. Great location in wellfleet as well.
The house was built in the 70's and designed by a well-known Cape architect. The house is very light-filled and expansive in it's lay out (e.g . multi-leveled with two sets of stairs, one to a guest bedroom and one to the master bedroom), so that you can enjoy a sense of privacy even when the house is full. It has lovely views of the bay, which is just down the hill from the house (seconds down a path we share with our neighbors). We have a two-person kayak which we keep on the beach which guests are welcome to use (the bay beach we're on has one of Wellfleet's boat landings so at high tide you can launch the boat right there). The house is located on the bayside in South Wellfleet, half-way between Wellfleet Center and the Wellfleet Audubon Society. It is less than a ten-minute drive to Lecount Beach and a short bike ride to the Cape Cod Rail Trail -- a 35-km bike trail runnng from Wellfleet to Dennis.
