My day was absolutely wonderful. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The only one downfall to the state was not having adequate lighting to the stairs, going to the backyard to let my dog out. Everything else was simply amazing. Even my daughter who was kind of hard to please thought it was absolutely gorgeous. Hope to be able to stay there again on one of my future visits to Austin.
We were pleasantly surprised on arrival that the unit was just what we needed and wanted for our 4 night stay Tastefully furnished, well equipped kitchen and split bedrooms each with a bath made our stay very comfortable. The neighborhood was on the upscale side and very convenient for our itinerary
Our family had a Merry Christmas here at the Natures Retreat. The property was spacious enough so we each had a place to call our own yet it was cozy enough to feel perfect for a 2 week holiday from home. The kitchen was stocked well for holiday cooking and roomy enough for a couple of cooks to work.Ella the family pup had a little yard to visit as needed and the neighborhood felt safe to go for daytime walks.Sally our host answered our questions promptly. TV was available but we rarely turned it on because the large glass door windows provided a view that we enjoyed daily.
Nice condo. In southern Austin. Comfortable beds. Kitchen frying pans were very poor quality and they need to be replaced. Clean. Great backyard view of a creek.
The house worked out well for myself, my parents, and our two dogs. Sally was good with communicating about minor issues we had. The house could use some updating (pillows were pretty worn out, etc.) but was still a good stay for us. We were driving into downtown to see my sister each day and it was only about a 10-15 minute drive, even with traffic. Lots of shops and restaurants within five minutes of the house. Overall would recommend for 2-4 people.
Stayed for two months as I was relocating to the area and waiting for new house to be ready. Lucky to be a 10 min drive to work, with plenty of amenities locally like coffee shop, groceries and food places. Quiet neighborhood with friendly people. Did not have a doggie door as one review mentioned, but is dog friendly and my puppy enjoyed the fenced in yard down the steps. Everything you need to cook and live at though you are at home, owner is responsive to questions and needs. Would stay here again.
Comfortable duplex minutes from downtown but in a quiet neighborhood
We enjoyed our month's stay in this South Austin duplex. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable and the kitchen well equipped if you feel like cooking. With all the great restaurants in Austin, our cooking was limited to mostly breakfast.
The back decks look over a small creek so it's very quiet and peaceful to enjoy a drink or grill after a day of sightseeing or hiking.
The location is convenient to shopping, downtown, hike/bike trail and expressways. Everything we wanted was within 10-15 minutes. Sally was very helpful, communicated check in info and provided additional information about shopping and restaurants --especially, the excellent Radio Coffee.
The television is a smart tv so if you have Netflix, Amazon or Hulu you will have plenty of video entertainment --if not, it's local channels.
Austin has a multitude of things to do and we enjoyed spending a month away from Chicago cold at this very nice place. We would definitely return.
Only one TV, which did not have cable and did not have good reception. Beds are not queen size. Reviews are for a totally different property. Location is in a subdivision, need to drive everywhere. Owners would not give access code until we were two hours from destination. VRBO sent instructions for different property. Pictures are deceiving - place is much smaller than in pictures. Very clean and well stocked with paper products, soap, etc.
The place was perfect for our group. Plenty of space inside and a nice big backyard. Very dog friendly - doggy door and a fully fenced in backyard was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and centrally located. The only negative was it was a little distant from downtown and the Uber rides ranged from $35-$50 depending on the time of day.
We had a great stay visiting our friends for the weekend from California and Texas. There were 7 of us, plenty of space, great location, beautiful and clean.
We loved relaxing in the back yard after a long day exploring Austin! The owner, was so helpful and available for recommendations and questions.
We will definitely stay here again when in Austin.
Beautiful, vintage ATX home in a great location!!!
I couldn't ask for more in a vacation rental! I frequent Austin and I found they did a really great job at keeping the vintage Austin style while incorporating modern touches where necessary. Everyone loved the pink flamingos! Decorating and furnishing gets an A+. The open floor plan was perfect for my entertainment needs and all the space allowed for everyone to get away from each other after a few days ;) I never had any issues with the home during my stay but I had no doubt in my mind that the owners would be there for any of my needs. They had everything I forgot to bring in the house already! I did quite a bit of cooking and entertaining there but not because the location was bad only because I didn't realize how good it was and didn't plan accordingly - next time! I would definitely stay there again but not before I check out some of Scott and Sally's others properties. Great people and even better property managers!
We stayed at the property for over a month. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Our dog loved the big back yard and patio area. Strange Brew is a great coffee shop and live music brew pub we would frequent and I would recommend.
I'm a 16 year old boy and I very much liked this stay. Nice big screen television I was able to hook my xbox up to if I was bored. Everything was very clean and neat. Everything I needed was provided including toiletries. Which is good because I forgot mine at my house. I stayed with my mom and brother for a week and we all got our own room. A nice neighborhood conviently located in south Austin. Quiet but still very fun. Very cool decoure with unique edison bulbs that I had really never seen before. I would reccomend this stay to anyone. Five stars.
