Golfers can take on the Pete Dye's renowned Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Resort, just 20 miles away. The historic city of Charleston is only 12 miles away.

Best of Both Worlds

The house was clean and well decorated. There were plenty of towels, pillow, and linens. Great location! Midway between the beach and the city! Close to great restaurants. We would stay here again and recommend the location to others. Thank you!

Recommend

We were in Charleston for a wedding and between the places we were going - Folly, Downtown and Kiawah, the house was the perfect location. It was clean, well furnished with all necessary items and the extra half bathroom for a 3 bedroom house is a game changer. Costumer service was prompt and nice. Would definitely stay there again and/or will use Vacasa again to book future trips.

Cottage on Johns Island, SC

The cottage was great! It had everything we needed and was in a great location. It was tricky to find though. The road had no street sign. The area was quiet and conveniently located. There was confusion about exactly when to take out the trash and the recycling. The website listed trash day as Friday and the sign in the house listed it as Monday. Outside trash bins were full. It not for the problem with the ants, I would have given it a 5 stars.

Clean and lovely home!

I'm conflicted as to what to rate this lovely home. The home and cleanliness are a SOLID 5 stars. We felt very safe and comfortable there. The surroundings were very peaceful and quiet. However, if you are planning to be staying for more than a couple of days and want to do any cooking, the kitchen is lacking in any extras other than glasses, cereal bowls, silverware, plates, cups, toaster and coffee machine. Other than that there were no extra cooking utensils, salt & pepper, blender, mixer, cooking bowls, bbq, etc to be had. For that reason, our stay was frustrating. The reason we stay at a VRBO is so we can do most of the cooking instead of eating out all three meals. Especially if you are staying there more than a night or two ~ which we did. Also, this lovely house is a little remote so we had to travel several miles to get any place, which we didn't mind, but it was inconvenient since we couldn't cook a meal or two. My suggestion is...if you do plan to stay here for more than a night or two and are cooks/bakers like myself, be sure to contact owners/property managers and make sure they have what you need. You might also want to ask about extra blankets. We would most definitely return....if....the extras were suppled.

Family friendly and good location

Overall we had a nice stay. The house was cute and clean and a pretty good location on johns island. The management company that is used is quick to respond via text but we did have a little hiccup with the trash situation. We had no bins to place trash in so we had to keep full bags in the house as we didn’t want to attract animals. The instruction paper in the kitchen states that trash is on Monday, but upon messaging we were told that it was Friday.. so we were a smidge confused on what to do. Regardless, we didn’t have a bin. No biggy. There was access to closets upstairs but downstairs you don’t have access to the master closet so you have to keep your suitcases and things in your way.. or haul them upstairs.. so that was a bit annoying but again, not a huge deal. A fun detail was the gaming console. My husband enjoyed showing up our kiddos on donkey Kong and all the old classics. It was MY mistake to not realize that the stairs wouldn’t work with a regular baby gate because of the bottom 2 steps so just something to think about for parents with mobile babies who you have to constantly be on to keep them off the stairs. Made it hard for us to relax at all, but again, that’s my fault for not viewing the pics better but just wanted to point it out for future mommas. So overall we had a nice stay and I’m not going to penalize stars for such minor things.. but just wanted to point them out for future guests. It in no way hindered our ability to rest our heads
