«Notre appartement est situĂ© dans une maison sur le Prinsengracht, l'un des plus beaux et animĂ©s canaux dans le centre-ville. Fait 1730 et entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ©, il se trouve dans le quartier commerçant et rĂ©sidentiel Ă  puce appelĂ©e Jordaan. Jordaan est la partie la plus populaire et historique de la ville avec de petits cafĂ©s, bars, restaurants, boutiques et sur les marchĂ©s organiques et anciennes samedis et lundis. La maison a une vue spectaculaire sur la Nordenkerk (Ă©glise du Nord) et de nombreuses maisons de bateau. Couchers de soleil sont Ă  couper le souffle. À distance de marche de la gare centrale (10min), la maison d'Anne Frank (1 min), Dam (8 min), des rues commerçantes (9 straatjes, rue Haarlemer, rue Kalver) (5-10 min) et musĂ©es (musĂ©e Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh musĂ©e, Hermitage) (20-30 min). Pour vraiment voir Amsterdam on a besoin de faire un tour sur le canal. Nous avons nos propres petits bateaux afin que nous puissions organiser des excursions en bateau privĂ© - aussi dans les soirĂ©es oĂč la plupart des ponts et des maisons privĂ©es et publiques sont Ă©clairĂ©es - ou des pique-niques sur les canaux d'Amsterdam. On peut louer des vĂ©los partout. Les transports publics sont Ă  proximitĂ© et la circulation automobile est presque inexistante. Amsterdam est une ville trĂšs calme par rapport Ă  d'autres plus importants. »

Parfait !

Nous avons adoré ce logement qui est parfaitement bien situé et dont la vue sur les canaux, l'église et sa place est superbe. L'appartement est confortable, cosy, bien équipé. Un vrai nid douillet. Cido et Rob sont adorables. Si je devais revenir sur Amsterdam, je reprendrais cette location les yeux fermés.

Venue avec des copines, nous avons adorĂ© l’appartement et y reviendrons avec plaisir.. SituĂ© juste en face de Winkel et la meilleure tarte aux pommes d’Amsterdam, ce petit nid douillet est trĂšs ensoleillĂ©. Parfait pour une balade sur le canal, du shopping tout en Ă©tant Ă  l’ecart de l’agitation.

Quiétude, coconing et vue superbe

L'appartement est trĂšs bien situĂ©, dans la trĂšs belle rue de Prinsengracht et dans le quartier du Jordaan, notre coup de cƓur d'Amsterdam. La vue de l'appartement est magique, on ne s'en lasse pas. L'appartement est lumineux, bien Ă©quipĂ© et surtout trĂšs chaleureux. On s'y sent vraiment bien. On espĂšre y revenir lors d'un prochain sĂ©jour !!

Un petit nid douillet

Le prix des locations à Amsterdam est élevé, bien plus qu'à Venise par exemple. Mais j'ai eu un vrai coup de coeur pour cet appartement en consultant le site Homelidays et j'ai trouvé un logement tout à fait conforme aux photos et aux descriptions de l'annonce. Un lieu destiné à la location mais meublé avec goût, dans un quartier tranquille mais trÚs proche de la gare. Petites attentions de la propriétaire : bouteille de vin, fleurs, gùteau maison. Au 3° sans ascenseur, mais Les escaliers ne sont pas si terribles. Boutiques sympas et restaurants à proximité. Balade les jours de beau temps, musées les jours de pluie. Nombreux trams et bus qui sillonnent la ville. Vraiment un excellent séjour.

Perfect spot for a quiet stay in Amsterdam

Our stay in this lovely apartment overlooking the Prinsengracht canal was part of what made our visit to Amsterdam so wonderful. The apartment is on a quiet street and just a short walk away from public transportation, so it was easy to reach the museums and neighborhoods we wanted to visit. There are many good restaurants close by as well as several markets for food shopping. Everything was as described in the listing -- the apartment is airy and comfortable. Cido was very responsive to our questions both before and during our stay. Great place to stay!

Excellent apartment and location. The property manager got confused about dates several times and also double-booked our first 2 days stay in Amsterdam. Thus we had to book a hotel for the first 2 days. Lastly, the manager got confused about emails from which she determined we wanted to check out 2 days early. We never understood why she concluded that and we had to assure her that our plans had not changed. It was odd to say the least.

Wonderful and idyllic!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The apartment is a gem, charming and bright, and the location is AMAZING. We sat in the living room and gaped at the beautiful view right over the canal. It was well stocked with kitchen basics had guidebooks and maps. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and even let us check in a bit early since the apartment was ready. If it hadn’t been ready, they had offered to let us store luggage in the luggage room downstairs. (This was a huge plus, because a big problem with staying at a home-away-from-home rental is that all flights from the US to Europe land in the morning and then you’re often stuck dragging heavy luggage and nowhere to go for hours.) I traveled with my husband and teen son and he slept on the sofa bed, which he said was quite comfortable. I would love to stay here again.

Beautiful house, in a perfect location

My family and I stayed at Cido’s apartment for a few days during a visit to Amsterdam. It was the perfect location. Close to shops and restaurant and just a few minutes from Anne Frank house. Cido was so helpful, always responsive. She was so kind to get us an extra air mattress, which allowed my teen sons to sleep in their own bed which they really appreciated! The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I came to Amsterdam.

Cute, well-appointed flat in a terrific neighborhood

My wife, daughter, and I really enjoyed our stay here. The view of the canal outside our front window was stunning. We were close to lots of great places to walk, eat, and drink and the Jordaan neighborhood is stunning. Cido was very helpful in addressing all our needs and even arranged a taxi to the airport.

Perfect location and hospitality!

What an incredible 2 weeks! We stayed at this property the entire time. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood that is minutes away from Central Station, bike rentals, museums and so much more. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to relax and enjoy all Amsterdam has to offer. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful in recommending places to go. 5 stars from the Robinson’s!

Wonderful place to stay

We had a great time during our stay here. The standout features of this incredible apartment are: 1) location right in the middle of the beautiful (and quiet) Jordaan neighborhood within walking distance of most everything, 2) great view onto the canal and street while relaxing and drinking coffee, 3) highest standards of cleanliness and also charm of the furnishings (bed was very comfortable and got a thumbs up from my picky spouse), and 4) last, but not least, was the kindness and helpfulness of Cido, the host. She helped us figure out transportation to/from airport, and her friendliness and flexibility enhanced our stay. Other reviewers have noted the stairs as a consideration if you have mobility issues, but we had no problem with them. We highly recommend this property and hope to repeat our visit again in the future. Thanks, Cido!!

All about the view

Charming, characteristic apartment with typically huge windows looking out over the townscape. What's particularly nice is that, instead of "just" looking at houses across the canal, you see the Westerstraat coming in at an angle across the canal and joining two streets - so you're treated to the bicycle show at all hours. Completely mesmerizing.

Gem of a location on Prinsengracht

This is a gem of a location on the Prinsengracht canal, a short walk to museums, beautiful canal walks, historical sights, the Jordaan, and the city center. Or if you want to wander further out and explore Oud-West and nearby parks, this is the perfect home base! Cido and Rob are friendly and gracious hosts that will make you feel at home and like a local. Quick to offer great tips for ice cream, brunch, or the Saturday market in the square across the canal, they are sure to help make your stay in Amsterdam a memorable one. The apartment is comfy and a great spot for people watching the parade of boats on the canal and the bikers and pedestrians on the streets, yet still a quiet spot for a restful night of sleep each night to recharge for a new adventure the next day.

Happy to look out at the view!

We ate in each night after walking our legs off all over Amsterdam with one day at the K. Tulip gardens. We were being careful about Covid even though rates had just dropped and there are many cute places. We got used to the three flights. The apartment was just like the photos. The farmers market across the canal Saturday and flea on Monday AM were terrific. We loved the local shopping street’s grocery and other stores. It is on a gorgeous street. The boat trip down the street is worth it but don’t go weekends.

Wunderbare Wohnung in Amsterdam

Perfect place to stay in Jordaan

Wonderful place

We had a wonderful 4 days staying here. The location was perfect - within walking distance of so much - and the apartment was beautiful. Big windows overlooking the canal allow you to watch the world go by on bike and canal boat!

We are a couple loves traveling and always trying to rent an apartments during our trips just to feel as we are living in that country. First thing we do is trying to find a local markets ,do shopping and cooking at our new home.So when we have the second apartment in the same building we decided to give this opportunity to our guests in the best part of Amsterdam.So our guests are being also our neighbors.It became a hobby for us while I am working as a dentist and my husband works as an engineer.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We live also in the same building so we decided that 2 apartment is too much for us and began to rent it to our guests since 2010

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This is the most popular area called Jordaan with many small cafes and restaurants.During the day it is always alive with street musicians,boats or somedays with local markets .At nights it is so peaceful and safe and you hardly hear trafic although the apartment is located centrum centrum. It is 2 minutes walking distance to Anna frank's house and 20 minutes to the museums. There are many uniek shops around and 2 parks .Train station is 10 minutes walking distance. So you dont need any public transport. The view from the apartment is delightful with boat houses and the view of Norden church. All the day you can watch passing of boats on the prinsencanal.My favourite ritual is going to saturday market just across the house to buy weekly fresh flowers and fish to cook for weekend.We are sure you will also enjoy beeing here as we are enjoying since 12 years.
