The property is beautiful and well maintained. Perfect for a long getaway with ample amenities. The house can sleep multiple families if you wish and still not feel overcrowded. We got great use of the neighborhood trails and walking paths for our dogs. Tracy and the neighbors were all extremely kind. 10/10 will be back

Excellent cabin, nice, clean and had a very well stocked kitchen. The hot tub cover is a two person operation, you must take it completely off so be aware of that. We also have Verizon cell service and had no cell service at all but the WiFi worked great and helped us connect to family back home. The cabin itself is very secluded in the tiny town of Garfield and there are no services for groceries or gas for roughly 20 miles, so be prepared. The home is very secluded in the trees but has neighboring houses close by. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away and escape for a while.

Great Place to Stay

Beautiful property and great house with everything we needed. Nice and close to hiking and bike riding. Less than 100 yards from the creek and was a great escape from the heat after spending the day down in Salida.

Wonderful weekend getaway

The property was in a great location between Salida and monarch mountain. The layout of the property was perfect, plenty of space for several people. Hot Tub and Dog Friendly were HUGE perks! Would definitely stay here again!

Spring break at Monarch

Wonderful trip to Monarch with the family for spring break. The cabin was roomy, clean and comfortable and the hot tub was great to have after a day of skiing. Host was very responsive. Would definitely stay again!

You can't beat coffee on the deck in the morning! This place was great - well equipped, gorgeous setting, and a lovely ambiance. We only have 5 of us but it could easily accommodate more (and comfortably).

This cabin was clean and had everything we needed. My five year old grandson couldn’t have said it better when I told him on our last day that we were going to go back home and he wanted to know why, because the cabin was perfect. The location was beautiful, and the directions to get there were clear and easy to follow. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.

This cabin was great! Plenty of space for 3 families. The kids loved the little book nook and the hot tub. We loved sleeping with the windows open and hearing the stream nearby. The deck was amazing and we had hummingbirds visit all day and night. The proximity to monarch crest and salida made it perfect for us!

Absolutely loved the cabin and the property. Everything was clean, easy to find and use, plenty of amenities. Whole family and pup loved it, especially the porch with the hummingbirds! Will definitely be back!

Family ski trip

This is a beautiful cabin and we enjoyed our stay! It is in the perfect location for a ski trip to Monarch. It was clean and comfortable for our family with spaces to spread out and also room in the kitchen and living room area to all be together. We enjoyed the hot tub after fun days of skiing at Monarch!

Beautiful place!

We had nine adults staying (3 couples, 3 singles) and it was great. It was also the gathering spot a couple of nights for our large group of 22. We had a devotional down by the water and it was a great atmosphere.

The house was absolutely amazing. Away from everything, but close to lots of things to do. We were in town for a wedding and hosted a group of grandparents and aunts and uncles and it had plenty of space. The hot tub was great and the kitchen had everything. Can't think of a single thing I wouldn't give a 5.

We visited in July for hiking, fly fishing, rafting and family fun. Monarch Hideaway had all the things we needed. We cooked several meals, and the kitchen was well supplied. (Just make sure you check the cabinets under the island too.) There were plenty of towels, beds, games, books, etc. at the cabin also. There is a wonderful second story porch and a lower patio with a really nice hot tub for outdoor living at the cabin. We were most impressed with how clean the cabin was. My husband and I were joined by three of our adult children and our daughter-in-law. We had a marvelous time! Note that there are other cabin/homes nearby. However, the cabin is a bit outside of any restaurants, towns, activities etc. so you will need a car. We traveled to Salida, Buena Vista, Leadville and Crusted Butte from the cabin.
