Comfy Tudor in suburban setting, 5mi from Center City Philadelphia. Coffee bar!
Visit the Pink Lady and step back in time when you enter this 1900âs Tudor home. The house is not modern but some modern conveniences, including stainless steel appliances and a gas fireplace, granite countertops, a fully stocked kitchen and a coffee bar are provided. There is parking for up to four cars in the driveway. There is a trolley stop two blocks from the house that offers convenient access to SEPTA 69th St. Station, and easy access from there to all major attractions in the city of Philadelphia including the stadiums.
It was perfect for what we needed - a place with 4 bedrooms and a community area. we especially appreciated the piano in the living room and the bike in the bedroom.
This home has so much character! The location and the spaciousness of the house were perfect for our needs as all six of us were involved in the 3 races taking place in downtown Philly on Saturday and Sunday. We had plenty of place to relax in the living room and eat together around the large table. It was great to be able to park in the home's driveway and never have to hunt for a parking space or pay to park, One suggestion would be for the host to trim the bushes lining the driveway as they rub against vehicles. My one negative about the experience was communication. We were to arrive Friday afternoon but by Thursday evening had received no check-in instructions from the host. I had sent a message earlier in the week and received no response. On Thursday evening I called and spoke to Kristen and within the hour had received the needed information. In all my years of renting VRBO's I have never needed to initiate getting check in instructions, Just a little stressful but all's well that ends well! Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here! We have great memories of our family time spent at the home.
The location was awesome, neighborhood was safe and quiet, and everything from the college campus to Philly airport and sites were only a 10-20 minute drive. The house has so much character with original stained glass and built ins. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs provided ample space for everyone to be cozy and shower in a timely manner. The only two downsides were: 1. The driveway, which has tons of space for parking once you get up to the house, but the hedges are over grown on one side with a rock wall on the other making it very difficult to pull in and out. And 2. It did not seem like this house has been professionally cleaned, the counters were sticky, the fridge was covered in streaks of crusty food and two closets had piles of what appeared to be dirty linens in them. Professional cleaning would have made this a 5 star visit! Host was a great communicator and offered to reimburse me for a steamer since one wasnât provided.
Great experience! The house was very clean and accommodated myself and 5 friends. The area was quiet and safe, and very close to where we needed to go. Kristen was reachable and reliable. Would recommend!
