We absolutely loved it!!!! Perfect location and view. So much fun. It was hot but they have an ac and some fans. Fantastic. Extremely clean laundry right in the bathroom . We would book again and upstairs.

The rooms were cleaned to an extent. Host was communicative. Parking was fine. The washer and dryer need to be cleaned. We thought the no sheets and no pillow cases was a weird thing to have. Make sure to bring your own.

As other reviewers have commented, the place does what it’s supposed to, it’s a three bedroom unit and it’s a short walk to the beach. We weren’t overly impressed with the cleanliness, it was just okay. For example, the washer could use cleaning, the bathroom had cobwebs and dust. The living room furniture really should be replaced, especially the couch it sinks in to the floor when you sit on it. The beds aren’t the most comfortable for two people to sleep in, but the kids thought they were very comfortable on their own. Bedrooms really could use curtains it gets very bright in the AM! It was nice to have the outdoor grill for cooking, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and all the plates/silverware so we didn’t need to spend money on those things. Bring salt, pepper, sugar, and things like that you wouldn’t think to shop for with you if you don’t want to have to run out for them. The laundry and dishwasher detergent were also low, not sure if those were leftover from another guest or if the host provides them, but I’d bring some with you so you have it to use while you stay. Jon was a wonderful host, we had some hiccups but he took care of it and made it right, you can tell he truly wants his guests to have a nice stay and we really appreciated it. We had a nice, quiet stay, the unit is situated far enough from the Amtrak and the crowds that you don’t hear them at night when you’re trying to sleep. Would recommend for anyone who wants a no frills, inexpensive getaway at OOB.

Beach trip!

My family and I stayed for two weeks at the townhome and had a blast. The location is the very best part (walking distance to everything). My only complaint is that the neighbors above us were really loud one night - I addressed the situation with John and he took care of it right away.

Great Space

The home was the perfect size for us. We were able to easily walk to the beach, the pier, and to visit with family who were staying in Ocean Park. I would definitely book it again.

Very Nice Property and Location

Great clean property , a couple of blocks to the Main rd near the beach and Pier. Very comfortable place, everything you need to cook meals is in the kitchen. I would recommend and stay again. The location was actually perfect as if you are a bit closer to the Main strip you would hear the Amtrack trains going by. We had a nice quiet stay.

Place was fantastic

The property was great. Big enough for a family of 5 without being crowded. Easy to walk to beach and drive to anything. John was a great host..so easy to communicate with about anything. Thank you gor a fantastic time!

Nice stay

pkenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Easy bike ride or 10 min walk to center. 3 blocks from beach. We dropped our beach gear and walked back, worked out nicely. Small back deck and nice front deck for sitting out. Clean and comfortable. Nice stay. Thank you.

Great getaway

Great 3 bedroom property on the first floor, each with a queen. You could squeeze an air mattress into one of the rooms if necessary. We were there for a very hot week but the window AC unit kept the place reasonably cool. Super convenient to the beach (10 minute walk), boardwalk, and shopping is a quick ride away. We drove down to the beach with our gear, dropped everyone off, and then parked at the near end of Fern to make the walk even shorter. The neighborhood was very friendly as well. The kitchen is small but we were able to cook in a few nights without an issue and the Weber grill out back was perfect. We would stay here again!

Location is great!

The location of this unit is great! We brought a wagon to help us drag our gear to the beach, and our kiddo rode a scooter when we ventured “downtown” for food/shopping. The neighborhood is quiet. The owner kindly left us some vegetables from his garden. The unit itself is bare bones. There are no sheets provided. We also had to buy batteries for the tv remote, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets (because I had brought laundry detergent with us), and toilet paper. There were no “extras” like plastic wrap or aluminum foil. If you need any unique pots/pans, bring them from home. Oh, and bring a sharp knife or two!

Sara, thank you very much for your nice review. People have been taken the batteries out of remote and I do my best diligence to replace them. I’m right next door so you could have called or texted me like you did with me providing sheets for the beds, as it’s spelled out No Linings in the VRBO website and my rental agreement. This stay was very enjoyable. The 3 bedrooms were all good sizes and the unit itself was spacious. The owner was communicating well and was very responsive. I will say if you have little kids and dont wanna wake up with the sun bring curtains as this unit does not have any in any of the rooms. There are shades but its very bright in the room at 5am and there is only one AC in the living room and if you close your door at night it did get very warm in the bedrooms. Couple of things could have been cleaner, the floors did turn our feet black when we first arrived but there's a swiffer in the closet we used to fix this and we had to unload the previous guests dishes from the washer and dispose of their coffee pod from the coffee maker but not huge deals. The walk to the beach wasent bad there is a large hill in order to get there but overall not a bad walk. There were upstairs guests which werent loud but you could definitely hear them walk and talk.. quite street and you cant hear the train. Overall a good stay and would rent again

A Perfect Location

Perfect place for me and my kids to stay for the week!!! Very close to the beach/amusement park and on the less busy/congested side of traffic. Quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors and everything you need is close by. John was the ideal host. Perfect communication and very personable. Responds to questions via text very quickly. Truly provided all that we needed for a relaxing week!!! Thank you!!!!

Lovely Beach Apartment

We enjoyed this apartment very much. It had enough room to comfortably house 6 people and was well equipped to handle us too. Good location, within walking distance to the beach and quiet neighbourhood made us feel welcomed. A relative who has been coming to Old Orchard Beach for over 40 years said this is the nicest place she has seen. Enjoyed how easy John made it for us to check in and out.

The house was nicely decorated and well stocked with everything we needed.

The beach was within walking distance but the boardwalk was too far to walk. The house was very clean and well stocked. The only downside was that the stove drip pans were very dirty and need to be replaced. Overall we loved the house and location, and would recommend it as a great place to stay.

Great Spot!

This was a great find. Very quiet area even during the July 4th holiday and just a short walk to the beach. The place was very clean, roomy and well maintained. It had everything we needed and within waling distance of pretty much everywhere we wanted to be (the pier, beach, food, etc.). We would definitely come back!

Great location, cozy home, gracious host

Old Orchard Beach is a beautiful beach town. I had never been to Maine before and was expecting a rockier beach but it was all sand and endless coastline. The home is a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. It is very cozy and housed all six in our party very comfortably. If you come to Maine, this is the place to stay!
