Apple Valley Lake spa-like retreat. Come to gather with your family and/or friends and relax in this newly renovated home on a quiet cul-de-sac. If you like clean and organized, this is the vacation spot for you. Everything is new including furniture, mattresses, Calphalon cookware, dishes and kitchen utensils. All mattresses and pillow cases protected with encased covers. Sit on the front deck or the back porch and enjoy the view of the lake and the wildlife (deer, hummingbirds, etc). The main floor has 3 spa-like bedrooms and 2 spa-like bathrooms. The main floor has a great gathering place with the kitchen open to the dining space and living space. Don't miss any touchdowns while you are cooking with the 65" Roku TV easily viewable from the kitchen. The kitchen is a gourmet chef's dream with all amenities. The downstairs walkout basement game room has an additional sectional sofa, 65" Roku TV, card table, , a kitchenette as well as a private bedroom with a queen bed and 1 rollaway twin bed and a full bathroom with shower. A 5-minute walk to Davis Beach. Pups are welcome, poop bags and a trash can on the back porch are provided for your convenience of cleaning up after your pup. No Smoking at this property please!

Awesome stay

This property is very clean and comfortable! Has everything you could ask for in a rental- outdoor living space on the deck with views of the lake, as well as kitchen and laundry needs. We’ll definitely rent this property again!

Perfect stay for Kenyon Parents

This is a beautiful home with lovely views of the lake. We booked the house so we could attend our daughter’s graduation from Kenyon and found it was just what we needed to regroup between events. It is only about 10 minutes from campus and has a fully equipped open concept kitchen so we were able to have some of our meals away from the overbooked restaurants and dining hall meals. The house is well represented on the website. The photos are accurate but it is even nicer in person. So glad we booked early.

Great location and incredible house!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at this amazing property just 10 minutes from Kenyon College. The house was gorgeous, near a lake, and had plenty of space for my family (dog included). Highly recommended for those needing space when visiting the Gambier area.

Wedding weekend

It was VERY clean, well stocked, and just a BEAUTIFUL place. Brenda was flexible with our needs which we really appreciated. Even though we ended up not taking our dog, it was a perfect place to have one. Even the deck was gated. Family friendly house in a nice neighborhood. Thanks Brenda!!!

We loved our stay at Apple Valley. The house was in a great location, and we could see the lake from the front porch. The unit was clean and had lots of space for our family to sleep and spread out.

Beautiful Stay for Kenyon Family Weekend

Our family enjoyed a beautiful stay at Brenda's Artistic Retreat! This was by far the cleanest property we have ever experienced. The kitchen was a dream and wonderful for making a homecooked meal for our Kenyon student, The beds were truly comfortable, the spacious shower was fantastic, and we all wanted to bring the couches home with us. :) There was a gorgeous view of the lake from the deck-the perfect place for morning coffee. Thank you for a relaxing and worry-free weekend!

Perfect Retreat

The Hostess was amazing, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. This home was spotless in every way. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want. This beautiful home was so comfortable, everything was provided you could want. It was so calming and pleasing to one’s eye. We had the perfect view of Apple Valley Lake on an upper level deck. Great property and owner was fantastic!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this VRBO property. Brenda was fantastic to work with. Only issue was that there were no washcloths provided. Thankfully we brought a few with us just in case as we weren't sure they would be available. This home was completely renovated recently and immaculately clean. You will not be disappointed!

Girls weekend getaway

Thanks Brenda for a beautiful spot to spend some relaxing time with friends. What a wonderful location. We spent most of our time in the spacious open kitchen/dining area and on the porch over looking the lake. The space was perfect for the 8 of us. Thanks for providing everything we needed to just relax and enjoy each other's company. We hope to make a return trip soon.

Great reunion of friends

This property looked brand new and was beautifully maintained. We stayed there instead of in the dorms for our 45th college reunion. The house was perfect for us. Great indoor and outdoor space for chatting. We'd book again in a heartbeat if Brenda is still VRBO'ing her home, when we come back in 5 years for the big 5-0.

Clean and fresh and new

Everything is beautifully and newly remodeled. We couldn't have wanted for anything. Just delightful staying here. Every detail was thought of! Great bedding and towels. Kitchen fully stocked. Very cute place. Can't wait to book this house again.

Amazing Host, Beautiful Property

Brenda was the best host we have ever had. She was great at communicating with us, and just one of the sweetest people we have ever met. I would rent from her anytime! We’ve stayed at other places in Apple Valley and they don’t even compare to this one. The view was beautiful, and the inside of the property is stunning. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of space for all of us. The home was stocked with everything we needed and it was so clean! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you, Brenda!!!
