The Space:
Welcome to Sandy Shore in Howard, Ohio! We are a spacious, luxurious, custom LAKEFRONT home on exclusive and private Apple Valley Lake. Home includes nearly 6,200 square feet of finished space with 5 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, 2 Family Rooms, 2 Laundry Rooms, and 65' of shoreline. There is additional living space with large flat screen TV in the walk out basement. Great room with vaulted ceiling and windows galore making beautiful views of the water, private courtyard, screened in porch and covered dock with sandy beach area and fire pit. Located in a calm, no wake zone. Two kayaks with paddles, stand up paddle board, floats, corn hole, and lawn games provided. Swimming and fishing available off the dock. Bring your own fishing poles.

Extensive outdoor space offering two level deck with screened and non-screen dining areas, gas grill, and lounge area. NEW 8 person hot tub.

Master Bedroom with private screened lakeside balcony.

We are not wheelchair accessible.

Guests have access to the entire house except some closets where we keep our personal items. You will have full access to the dock and the surrounding swimming area as well as non motorized water toys, floats and lawn games. Guests will not have access to boat.

We have a 10 adult guests max policy. If you have more than 10 adult guests you will be asked to leave. All guests must be registered. Apple Valley Lake is a private lake, not open to the public. We have two kayaks available for guest use. Motorized boat is not for guest use. The local marina will not allow non-property owners to rent a a boat.

First aid kit and fire extinguisher are located in the closet with door on top floor in the hallway.

The wifi router is located in the second living room on the main floor in case you need to power it off and back on again. Please call us first if there are any issues.

There are 2 thermostats. One on the top floor, which controls heating and cooling for the top floor and one on the main floor, which controls heating and cooling for the main floor and bottom floor.

Courtesy quiet hour at 10 pm. Life jackets must be worn at all times in and around the water and boat dock. Age 5 and older only in hot tub.

Gorgeous house!

We booked a last minute stay during spring break with my parents and family. This place was immaculate! Megan was very responsive in all communications. House is super clean, well laid out and well stocked. Bedding and mattresses were wonderful. Can't wait to stay again.

Beautiful Home and View

My big family plus, my parents went for a few days and enjoyed every moment!! It is a lot of stairs, but that was expected for us! Everything they have to do down at the dock is amazing! The kids loved the kayaks and paddle boards! The hot tub was huge and fit everyone! Cannot wait to stay here again!

The house is gorgeous! Description on listing is perfect. It was so clean, every detail is thought off. Everything is labeled easy to find. There is so much room to hang out. Everything is top notch really really loved it and will definitely be back!! Megan was an amazing host!!

Great but not great

I would be careful with this property. First host doesn’t get back to you for days, no phone number only email. First night the grill had no propane emailed host about a backup…no response had to cook hot dogs and burgers in a pan. Not enough paper supplies. Had to go and buy paper towels and garbage bags. Then the ceiling started leaking in the kitchen from bathroom above it. Two weeks later and now they’re trying to get the security deposit! Unreal..

This was the most amazing home and location we could have stayed at.

The property was extremely clean, equipped with everything you need and breath taking. The host communicates with me immediately and was so helpful. I cannot wait to go back! I LOVED everything about this experience.

This is the largest and most luxurious vacation rental on Apple Valley Lake. The views from both inside and outside are spectacular. Apple Valley Lake is a private, friendly community with some of the deepest, clearest water in the area. It is perfect for relaxing, swimming, fishing, or kayaking. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby both in Howard, OH and Mt. Vernon, OH. We are located in the center of Ohio and a quick drive from Columbus, Cleveland, and several other Midwest cities.
