What a great get away!!

We loved our stay here, perfect with the pool and the ocean right at your doorstep. Just beware if traveling with little ones there is a lot of nicknacks to keep away from them! But a perfect stay and sooooo relaxing.

It was an interesting condo. The bedding was absolutely disgusting. We ended up buying new to put on. It looked like it had not been washed in months. There were ants everywhere and bugs. It was ok. We enjoyed ourselves but probably would not stay there again.

Everything you need

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has everything you need. Two bedrooms (twin beds in the "kids" room). A couple things though. It's not overlooking the pool. Would have liked to have what is shown in the picture. It's on the side, but still great views of the beach. All in all, very adequate for a week long vacation stay.

License to chill July 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation was magical in every way. License to chill was the perfect beach front condo. We loved the location, the views from the balcony and the pool was a plus. I would recommend getting rid of the decor that’s not hanging on the walls so there is more space. I would recommend this especially in the kitchen where there is limited counter space. The condo could use a little love like updating the kitchen and bathrooms but it was not bad. I will be staying here again with my family! We absolutely loved it!

Needs updating

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great! So nice to be able to easily walk back and forth to the beach and not have to haul all your stuff each time. The views were fabulous and the property mgmt. company was great! Super organized and very helpful! The condo was also very clean and you can tell at one time it was well loved. Our only complaint was that it was in dire need of some updating. The bedding, carpets and couches must all be from the 80’s. As a result it was hard to truly relax and get a good nights sleep. We ultimately left early because of it. Disappointing...

Not cleaned well

The Villa had a beautiful view and the kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. The beach was beautiful and the pool was very nice and clean. However, when we checked in the floors were dirty and the table mats still had dried food on them. There was dirt and sand on the carpet and dirt and food on the kitchen floor. We only got one towel and wash cloth per person for the entire week. There were no sheets when we arrived in the Villa and when they were dropped off later that evening in the hall, they were all the wrong sizes. Even though the Villa needed cleaned and we needed linens that actually fit the beds along with more than one towel per person, I really liked the layout and location of the Villa. If I get to go back, I'll take my own linens and towels then make someone come back and clean if needed.

Extremely dirty. The view was nice and the condo was as pictured.. but it had not been cleaned. There was sticky crap on walls, food in the oven drawer, the tables still had crumbs on them. The baseboards have not been cleaned in probably years. There was old candy/ wrappers in various corners on the floor. I think the company that manages this property literally doesn't clean between guests. The check out instructions request that you sweep and vaccuum. We made the best of it, and I did a lot of cleaning myself and left it in better shape than we found it. Upon checkout, I (politely) mentioned it was pretty dirty because I didn't want us to be charged if the people after us complain, and the management company's response was 'oh yes no worries we get that a lot..' I would not stay here again or at any property managed by carolina shores vacations again and I don't like leaving bad reviews but really wish I had seen a review like this to avoid booking this place..

It was a nice condo in a nice location. The kids had a blast in the pool and it was nice being right on the beach. It also had a nice view of the ocean but couldn't see the beach. The room appeared to not have been dusted in quite some time and the furniture wasn't very comfortable to sit on and the beds were just ok to sleep on. Other than those few issues it was a great vacation and the whole family loved their time there.

Great location but needs help!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed our vacation overall, but there were several things that kept the experience from being as comfortable as it could have been. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The apartment could really use a deep cleaning. The air vents were very dirty, and there was a significant ant problem in the kitchen. We even found ants in some of our food bags, which was very disappointing. The kitchen could also be better organized. There were three coffee makers and three toasters, which seemed unnecessary and took up valuable space. Since the apartment is small, the extra furniture makes it feel cramped. Removing the dresser, small desk, and white cabinet would create more room for six guests. Organizing and clearing out the closets would also provide much-needed storage space. We appreciated the extra pillows, but two of the three comforters had an unpleasant smell and should be washed. We paid for the linen service, but the sheets and some of the towels were very thin. I recommend bringing your own if possible.A larger TV in the family room would also be a nice upgrade. On the positive side, the showers were excellent, and the hot water was amazing. All six of us were able to shower after the beach without any issues.Overall, we enjoyed our stay because the location is wonderful, but the apartment felt crowded, was sometimes too warm, and would greatly benefit from a deep cleaning, better organization, and a few updates. The view is good but other apartments are better since this is a corner. You can't see the sunrise.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was amazing! Right on the beach! A view high enough to see over the dunes and far into the ocean! It was gorgeous!! The condo itself seems neglected though...The carpets were dirty. there was a layer of dust on pretty much everything. The locks didn’t work on ANY of the doors. There were no towels, sheets, or paper products. There was almost too much furniture for the size of the condo.

Great location/Needs a Good Cleaning

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location and proximity to the beach cannot be beat. The pool was awesome to have as well. The unit is very dated (which was fine), but also needed a very good deep cleaning. I vacuumed before we unpacked...although the vacuum did not work well at all. There were layers of dust on the floor by the bed. Luckily we brought our own sheets even though you could purchase some from a rental service. There were multiple mattress covers on the master bed with hair in between. Really needs some attention. We were just happy to be at the beach, and let a lot of it “go.” I can say that I cleaned a lot and left it better than I found it for sure. I washed things that weren’t mine and cleaned cabinets and floors. Also swept floors and mopped inside and on the balcony. Hate to be negative as were were grateful to be there, but it needs attention from the owner.

Thought the place was nice. I thought it was a little misleading on ocean front/ocean view. I thought we rented an ocean front room and found out when we got to unit that it is ocean view.
