Great except for pots and pans. Cabin sleeps 24 and there was not a large enough skillet in the place. It took all 6 available skillets, using multiple times on each meal.
Our stay was a jumble of good and bad experiences. First the Pros: the cabin was laid out perfectly for our group. The sleeping wings provided privacy while the common areas were large and accommodating. We enjoyed the theater room, game room, and large kitchen. The laundry room was tucked away (which provided a very fun game of âfind the laundry roomâ when we arrived). The location was great. We were close to the attractions of Pigeon Forge and just a short drive from GSMNP. There were plenty of things to do and our group had a good time. Now the Cons: honestly, this was the worst check-in experience we have encountered in our many years of traveling via private rentals. We arrived a little early. At 4pm we received the code to enter the cabin, and just inside the door, there was the cleaning staff, along with garbage bags and soiled linen. We dutifully went back outside to wait, in the heatâŠand the rainâŠwith no access to restroomsâŠafter a long drive. We were allowed in sometime after 5pm. Upon entering, I noticed how hot the kitchen wasâŠthey had started the cleaning cycle on both ovens! When it was time to feed our crew, they had taken the ovens out of commission! The other major issue was cleanliness. There was a grit on the floor and every surface in the kitchen. The Keurig coffeemaker would not start because it needed to be descaled. More evidence that cleaning was not a priority. The final insult; the cleaning crew showed up at 10:30am on checkout day. :(
