This stay was exactly what I needed. The washer and dryer were a huge convenience, and the space was well-furnished with a great kitchen setup. The A/C worked perfectly, and the heat kept everything comfortable when needed.The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant, with an excellent location close to both Norfolk and Virginia Beach.The host was outstanding—very helpful, responsive, and flexible throughout my stay. I always felt comfortable reaching out if I needed anything, which made the experience even better.I truly appreciate all the support and would definitely stay here again.

We were overall happy with our stay here and appreciated the location to East Ocean View Beach and convenience of location to our family we were visiting. I had forgotten about ticks and cockroaches in Virginia, so plan accordingly...this house was not bad it's just a part of traveling in this area I had forgotten about. The house was pretty clean some dusty vents and things so if you have allergies that may be important- our son does but remedied with some Flonase. Again, still pretty well kept.The hosts were wonderful and responsive! Our family unfortunately missed a message about our dogs barking which did surprise us somewhat as our dogs generally sleep most of the day. Still, we appreciated the open communication. Thank you to the host for having us, we appreciated the home to spend time with our grand-babies!

Beautiful little home! Close to the beach in a nice neighborhood. We felt very safe here! Super clean and so tastefully decorated. Asia was so responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend this home!

Excellent beach experience

We had a fantastic stay in Norfolk. We had our dog with us, and our child. Super comfortable beds, and pillows. Enclosed backyard for our dog to enjoy. Clean home, great WiFi, smart tv’s in all of the rooms. Good location for our Virginia Beach vacation.

Great little place to stay

This worked perfectly for us, the yard is great for our dog. There were lots of board games to play with the kids and we walked to the beach multiple times. It had everything we needed and some things we didn't realize we were going to need.

The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were nice. It was pet friendly. You will not hear from the host until right before your check in. Then they responded quickly if you had a question. The only thing I wish they provided was information about the area. (Like restaurants, grocery stores etc.)

The price seemed too good to be true. I was nervous the neighborhood was going to be bad or the house would not reflect the photos but everything was great. We had a whole house for less than a hotel. Super easy check in and good communication. We traveled from NY with 2 kids and 2 dogs to celebrate Christmas. The space was perfect. The yard is completely fenced and safe for the dogs. I was able to make Christmas Eve brunch and Christmas dinner in the kitchen with the supplies provided. The little office area gave my daughter a space for herself to hang out. The rooms were all a nice size. I was glad to have the washer and dryer and came home with no laundry left to do! I would definitely stay here again.
All of the appliances worked perfectly.

My family and I really enjoyed staying here. The home was cozy with refreshingly modern, and positive decor. It felt good to be here and allowed us to make many wonderful memories. The hosts are extremely hospitable and kind, and recommend staying here.

Short stay for softball

When we arrived, the air conditioning was not working and it was HOT! We messaged the owner, and she immediately responded and sent people over with window units while they tried to get someone to look at the central air. Hosts were very responsive, and wonderful for evwrything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house

This is a beautiful little house in a quiet neighborhood. It was very clean and updated. Our host was very quick to answer any questions. I loved how the whole place was decorated and all the attention to details. We had a wonderful stay here!

Nice

The place was nice. The previous person checked out late so we could not get in at the check in time. The cleaners had to rush due to this so the place wasn’t as clean as it probably usually is. There were clumps of dog hair. There was a lot of dog poop in the yard. The people before us must not have cleaned.

Good location to access the beach

Location is perfect to access the beach from multiple locations. It's my forth time in Norfolk. Generally the house is good, but lack of good maintenance and completion of renovation. There are washer and dryer which is great to have laundry every day after beach. The host should replace old rusted bathtub, it was not pleasant to take shower and kids were asking why we rented old house. We were expecting better quality for the price we paid. The host should complete renovation. A/C unit was not as great as should be. Some rooms were freezing and some very hot. Microwave and stove were dirty when we moved in. One gas stove igniter was defective and each time we used gas stove this element continuously was sparking. It was scary to use. Some food left inside the fridge with sanitizer. Fridge must stay empty when tenants leave! The garbage and recycling bins were full outside when we moved in. Since it's a house the host should make it clear to all tenants what day during the week there is garbage collection. We ended up chasing when other neighbors put their bins outside. We had to bring our garbage to public beach since they collect garbage every day.

Hi Yuliya, Thank you for the feedback. I wish you had brought these problems to my attention during your stay. The AC issue was brought up by the next guest and we had it fixed immediately. The house is an older family home. We know that the bathroom needs updating but we have been booked from 1 year out and did not want to ruin our guests plans. Although old, we can assure you it was very clean and sanitized. I apologize the kitchen was not cleaned to your expectations. If you had notified me upon your arrival, I would have had it recleaned for you. I had the gas stove tested and it is working. If you had let me know, I would have sent the technician to check it then. Certain foods are left in the fridge if it is not expired AND unopened. I never want to throw away unopened food because my next guests financial situation may be different. I will take your suggestion and donate it to the local food bank instead. I hate that you felt you had to carry your trash with you, I could have arranged a trash pickup if you had notified me the bins were full. We don’t bother the guests to do work such as pull the cans out because it is their vacation time. I hate that you were not 100% satisfied. I wish you had communicated with me during your stay as most of these issues could have been rectified. As for our rate, we are lower than other places in the area for this time of year. We are family owned and do all the work ourselves. We want to be affordable for families who travel. Your feedback is important to us and I thank you for taking the time to let us know.
