Ossature bois Chalet sur le lac

Cette petite maison douce a un plan d'étage ouvert avec une mezzanine et une vue magnifique sur la recherche sud-ouest sur le lac Cayuga. Les ponts des deux cÎtés de la maison de plomb à un «vol» de quatre ponts en dessous de la maison. La cuisine est équipée d'un petit réfrigérateur, brûleurs à induction, petit four, micro-ondes, grille-pain, mixeur, cafetiÚre, et beaucoup d'ustensiles de cuisine et vaisselle. La salle de bain a une baignoire sur pieds. Sur les ponts, un gril à gaz et beaucoup de chaises et de tables de pique-nique pour se détendre et se divertir.

Idéal pour deux personnes, mais peut accueillir quatre à six ans: la reine matelas dans le grenier, divan-canapé-lit, un canapé, et de camper dans des tentes sur les ponts sous de grands arbres d'ombrage ou sur le matelas double dans la maison de bateau.

Non accessible aux personnes handicapées: 28 marches de la route jusqu'à la maison de pierre douces, 3 à 6 étapes entre les ponts, escaliers raides vers le quai, bateau maison, et la plage de galets, et dans la maison, une échelle de la bibliothÚque jusqu'à la chambre à coucher grenier.

My friend an I stayed here for a couple night getaway to hike and it was so fun!!! The property was def an added highlight! From the cozy cabin filled with personality, the sunset views, loons, to the forest- we both talked about coming back and communication with Nancy was so good- she is very sweet :)
The lake facing side of the cabin is all windows and you get a private sunrise every morning :) We both thought the skeleton key was the coolest and felt very safe.

Excellent location on a beautiful lake with simple and comfortable housing and amenities. It was everything we had hoped for. We loved the kayaking and walks along the old railroad bed.

Nancy is an excellent host! The cabin was perfect, spotlessly clean and well organized. Communication was prompt and helpful. The location is perfect, enough in the country to be peaceful but close enough to Ithaca, parks for hiking and wineries to explore. And the lakefront location is excellent for beautiful views and the relaxing sound of waves on the shore. Our dog was welcomed and enjoyed her vacation, too. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had the most relaxing time at Timber Frame Cabin. The sweetest little cabin with everything you could need for a beautiful weekend getaway. From the minute we arrived, we took a deep breath and enjoyed the beauty. It was clean and comfortable. The dock area was perfect for reading and enjoying the peace quiet. Our dog loved it also! 15 minutes away is Ithaca where you can enjoy dining and visiting a winery or brewery. Nancy is awesome and accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!!!

This is a beautiful, peaceful get away. We have been staying at Nancy’s cabin for three years and it has always been a wonderful vacation. The Lake and property are amazing. It is a great escape from the maddening crowd.

Charming!

A really charming cottage. Everything you could possibly need is already there. The kitchen was fully equipped and the outdoor grill was wonderful. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding. The loft was fun and the bed was comfy. There was a little private beach area and a dock and boathouse. Two kayaks and a paddle board too! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Lots of stairs, but we knew that, so not a problem. We had a great stay. We would definitely recommend it and we would love to come back.

Tiny house living w/beautiful viewlake access!!

Outdoor decks and private lake access make this adorable cabin a true gem. The cabin is just beautiful. We had everything we needed, but if the weather is exceedingly hot, you will need to go for a swim, or drive to one of the countless attractions in the region for relief. Nancy provided gallons of bottled water, and several electric fans, which we really appreciated! WiFi worked great. FYI, there are many stairs, inside and out. After the cooling rain, we wanted to spend all day in the cabin-it was so peaceful. But there is SO MUCH to enjoy in F.L.X!! Would love to stay here again.

cozy couples getaway

We wanted a quiet getaway without the kids, and this definitely gave us what we wanted. It unfortunately rained 3 of the 4 days were there, but even with the rain, it was beautiful and quiet and just serene. The steps down to the cabin were not forgiving so you have to really take your time going up and down when they are damp. The steps going down to the doc and boat house were extremely steep and daunting when you first see them. But they do get easier the more you use them. Another tip that I would have liked to know before going is bring your own drinking water. there are jugs supplied to use for drinking and cooking but I think they are jugs that are refilled from owners home. which is fine, but I am a water snob, so I went to buy my own water. We loved the cabin and the area and everything that was included, Nancy is a great host and very informative and just seems to be a kind person. We will hopefully be back one day to stay again, with hopefully less rain!

It was exactly what we expected, cozy and at home with a georgous lake view. It has been rain during our stay, but a blue sky came back shortly after the graduation at the cabin. Almost everything was equipped in the kitchen. We loke cooking. A bandage was helpful. We enjoyed BBQ.

Had a great stay. Definitely as advertised. Very clean and well taken care of. Had a great time. We were not able to enjoy the boat house and decks as much as we would have liked to due to the weather and level of the lake but can't control mother nature! Thanks so much would stay again if we were in the area!

Great weekend getaway

Second year visiting this lovely timber frame cabin. We had Nancy's cell number to ask questions. We were hiking first two days to see waterfalls and on last day weather was windy and cool, so not conducive to kayaking, so we were able to scavenge the beach for "lake" glass and heart-shaped stones. Nancy said we could stay past the check-out time and we took her up on that offer, leaving late afternoon. We will definitely be back next year.

Rick and Nancy Lazarus live south of Ithaca and love Cayuga Lake and the sunsets from its east shore. This is our summer lake house, a quiet retreat.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The lake access and views are great, plus Bill George Road is a quiet and wooded road great for walking and bike riding. There are some houses on the lake side and a couple of small gorges. Great blue herons fly up and down the lake every day. Owls hoot at night. Rick is a timber frame barn restorer and he built this charming little house about 10 years ago.
