Location was perfect. Although it was an older neighborhood, the house was very nice on the inside. Outside could use a little work. But, hey, we didnât sleep on the outside. So it was just right for us.
Property was affordable and conveniently located for our Austin visit. Unfortunately, for us many small details were over looked, cleaning was sub par as dog hair was apparent in all spaces, insufficient towels and no cleaning products available to help resolve the issues. We would more than likely book again but just have different understanding of the value it provides.
Only about 15 min from downtown Austin makes this a convenient location, although be aware that the neighborhood is still up and coming. We traveled with our dogs and the secure back yard was quite nice to have and much appreciated.
The house itself is dated and needs TLC. A kitchen drawer, front bathroom door and towel rack are broken, tall dresser in front bedroom is not secure to the wall and canât be used, knob in shower not secure to the fixture. Additional pans in the kitchen would be helpful.
The living room area is cute and cozy. Take that vision and care to the rest of the house and it could be a little gem.
Although this unit is in a not so great part of town, I had no issues with neighbors, noise, etc. There were a few maintenance issues that I noticed when I arrived, but they had minimal affect on my stay. The one issue that was relevant was the fact that the thermostat didn't work. I found this out during the cold snap we had in Feb. I had no heat for 2 days before the AC man was able to fix the problem. The owners were very accommodating.
