À propos de cet hébergement
Spacious Canal St. 2br On Streetcar Line
Summary:
Historic 2 Bedroom/1 Bath historical home located in beautiful Mid-City neighborhood right on canal street! Experience the local flavor in our private shotgun located in the heart of New Orleans! This private home faces the Canal streetcar line and is just a 5 minute streetcar ride to The French Quarter! You are surrounded by grocery stores, markets, boutiques, incredible restaurants, and local bars. Easy access to all our city has to offer! This is the BEST location in New Orleans!
The Space:
The historic neighborhood also has plenty of outdoor recreational space, with quick access to City Park, Bayou St. John, New Orleans Museum of Art, Fairgrounds, and the Lafitte Greenway. Old-growth oak trees line popular thoroughfares, like Bienville, Banks and Canal streets. If you get hungry, you're just a short walk away from some of the best food in New Orleans :Angelo Brocato, Bayou Beer Garden, Bevi Seafood Co., Brown Butter, Clesi’s, Finn McCool’s Irish Pub, Katie’s, and Mandina’s. Don't forget to walk over to Banks Street Bar & Grill for some local live music. Looking for some late night fun on Bourbon Street or Frenchmen? You're in luck! You're 5 minutes away!
If you need a break from all the excitement, the house has three smart TV's with Hulu and Netflix, table for playing games, full kitchen to cook or store food. There is plenty of space to relax and recoup both inside the house, and on the lush back patio.
FYI Mardi Gras 2023:
This house is on the Endymion Parade Route. The owner of the property will be throwing a large event with music, food, alcohol, and bathrooms. The guest who books for these dates will be invited to the event! However, you will not be able to park your car directly in front of the unit on the Endymion parade day, which is Saturday February 26th. This will be a lot of fun!!
Guest Access:
Guests have complete access to the entire house, kitchen, washer dryer, and yard.
The Neighborhood:
One of the safest and family-friendly neighborhoods in New Orleans! Everything is walk-able. Festivals take place blocks away and you'll also love City Park right around the corner! Mardi Gras Parades in every direction. You won't find a better place to enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer.
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.
Getting Around:
The Mid-City area home is walking distance to the Canal Streetcar line. It's extremely pedestrian-friendly and bike-friendly. The Lafitte Greenway provides a safe bike and pedestrian corridor connecting to the French Quarter, as does the streetcar, which you are right in front of!
