Couldn’t get any better

I rented this property for a relaxing get away with some friends and I could not be any happier. The house was a very short walk to the beach. It is at a very convenient location you will not be disappointed!

Fun time at Bethany Beach

The house was a short and easy walk to the beach. The house was well equipped. It was also very well laid out for our gathering with an open living area and most bedrooms downstairs. The owner responded quickly to our questions and needs (We left something in the house after our departure, and she arranged for it to be mailed to us.) The town seems family oriented which really suited us (with small children). The beach is fairly quiet and not crowded. The surf was a bit too rough for our children, but they were able to play in the sand. We might have just hit it on a rough week.

A week in South Bethany

Our stay at Daphne's home was amazing. We were 10 all together (three generations). The house accommodated our space needs beautifully. With ages ranging from 3 to 76, we had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone's needs. The outdoor shower is well constructed and was used on daily basis. The open living space allowed spaces for the kids as well as the adults to find The proximity of the house to the beach was the best -- we could come and go at will, no driving necessary. Daphne was a great host. Communicated clearly, responded to all of our needs with efficiency and expediency. We highly recommend this house and will definitely make arrangements to go back when our schedule permits.

Wonderful week at South Bethany Beach

Our family was comfortable and very happy about the location-- a very short walk to the beach. Very convenient location in proxemity to many other beach towns, restaurants, and attractions. The host Daphne was extremely attentive. Everything was exactly as advertised. We would definitely rent again!

So close to the beach.

I loved the open floor plan for the main living area. You can see the water from the top deck. The kids loved being so close to the beach. The house was very well kept. Wonderful vacation

Awesome House Close to the Beach!

Loved this house. Would definitely stay again. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths on the bottom floor and the top floor is a large open concept kitchen, livingroom, and dining room with a 5th bedroom and another full bathroom. The open concept on the top floor is the perfect configuration for entertaining. The two wrap around decks are also perfect. The top deck covers the bottom deck so you have a shady place to sit when the sun is too hot on the top deck and everyone enjoyed swinging on tje porch swing. Our group was 4 adults/parents and 5 children (ages 10, 7, 6, 4, 1). The beach is a very short walk away. We would leave our stuff set up there all day and would go back to the house for lunch. Great communication with the owner. We really couldn't have asked for more!

Excellent Rental Property

This is a beautiful home away from home. The furnishings are lovely. There are several porch areas with great furniture and a swing. The appliances are top notch as well. We had six adults and four children and there was plenty of room for all. There was also plenty of room to park 3 vehicles and the walk to the beach was very short. The owner is awesome to deal with and we would definitely rent again.

Stellar location and great home layout for hanging out

Amazing distance from the beach. We popped onto the beach for morning coffee or evening walks. We setup our umbrellas and chairs each morning and went back and forth all day. Two large pleasant outdoor decks. See the sunset from the top deck and enjoy the covered bottom deck when the sun is beaming. Inverted home layout with upper floor large open space was perfect for hanging out with family and children's play. Kitchen has many things, but could do with a refresh to ensure some of the basics are re-stocked (e.g. missing some measuring spoons, colander, bakeware homeowner expected to be there) and in need of some sharp knives. For those wondering about Route 1 road noise - it was surprisingly a non-issue. Even that close, the buffer of the other house kept things peaceful and quiet.

The home is beautiful and such a wonderful distance from the beach. It accommodated our extended family (ages 10 to 72) so well. Communication with the owner was easy and she provided details, such as specific kitchen items, when asked. This was our first DE beach experience and we would gladly return. The S. Bethany area is so family friendly!

Great house for large families

Highly recommended. We come every year and very much enjoy the house. It's clean with great deck area outside and large dining area inside. Very easy access to the beach and the recent adds of WIFI and a new TV were wonderful. Owners are easy to work with and we plan to keep coming back.

Comfortable place to stay

My family which includes my daughter, son-in-law, son, daughter-in-law and 4 grandchildren enjoyed staying here. We liked the open living area and the sleeping quarters were great. The distance from the beach was great and we could easily go back and forth from the beach to the house. I would recommend this house as a comfortable place to stay if you have multiple families.

We are Washington, D.C. residents, and have been coming to South Bethany for 30 years. South Bethany and the Bethany Beach area is widely viewed as one of the most family friendly resorts on the Delmarva Peninsula. In coming to the beach, we most enjoy doing not a whole lot and having the day to do so. The beach on North 2nd Street is beautiful, and generally not too crowded. N 2nd St has a direct access walkway to the beach and you can stake your spot in the sand in the morning and leave it all day! Enjoy a lunch break at one of the 3 decks mid-day. Rinse off at the outdoor enclosed shower area and hang up your beach towel in the clothes line in the back.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We built this house with the help of my Greek father-in-law. Of all the resorts in the Delmarva, we find South Bethany the most compelling, and the most family friendly. And, we are drawn to North 2nd Street, in particular, in light of the other residents on the street, and the beach in this particular area of South Bethany being less congested.Young kids can walk back to the house without crossing the highway.They love the hung swing in the lower deck!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Property lays out quite well in an open space for family gatherings in the upper floor, is in excellent condition, and those that have stayed at the property are uniformly complimentary of our home and of South Bethany. We rent only 8-10 weeks per year, take excellent care of the home, and use the home ourselves a fair bit during the off season.
