Historic Church Hill- Richmond’s oldest neighborhood, surrounded by acclaimed restaurants, this is a walker's paradise close to 3 parks with commanding city skyline views and the mighty James River. Close to downtown, the Capital Trail, state government and Richmond International Airport.

The St. John's Church Historic District of Church Hill is one of the largest in-tact collections of 19th and 20th century homes in America. Large and small, detached or rowhouse, cottage or grand mansion-Church Hill's array of Victorian, Greek Revival, and Italianate structures will take you back in time and delight the senses of architecture enthusiasts. The homes and gardens are a treat for the senses and are best viewed by walking around. A ride by just doesn't do it justice. The neighborhood is home to nationally acclaimed restaurants and bakeries-there's something for just about every taste.

Ready for some nightlife? The Fan, Carytown, Scott's Addition and Downtown are just a stone's throw away. Richmond is a mecca of breweries-they're everywhere. Looking for a quiet peaceful evening? Take a blanket and find a hillside seat at Libby Hill Park (3 blocks away) to view the city skyline and the mighty James River. No one will tell on you for breaking open a bottle of wine...
This view of the river is said to be responsible for the naming of Richmond. The bend of the river closely resembles the Thames River at Richmond in England.

Church Hill is a walker's paradise with brick sidewalks and gas lamps. Rental bikes are available in Chimborazo Park- (3 blocks away) for those who want to do some sight- seeing or bike to the market, a restaurant, bakery, coffee shop or bar. Street parking is generally unrestricted and easy to find in just about all areas of Church Hill. The Capital Trail runs along the river (just 3 blocks away). For those adventure seekers- you could bike your way to Williamsburg- just a mere 50 miles away. Most areas downtown and in The Fan/ Carytown/Manchester/Scott's Addition/ Richmond Raceway and Richmond International Airport are an inexpensive $6 Uber or Lyft.

The host lists this property as dog friendly and we were so excited to come with our two pups. Within an hour of checking in during the midafternoon he threatened to terminate our stay because one of our dogs was barking as he settled in to the new surrounds. The host was rude, unkind, and kept threatening termination. We felt unsafe, attacked, and frustrated that a pet friendly location would be so averse to daytime barking. We had even discussed the dogs two months prior when we booked! We left, found a much more dog friendly spot and were thankfully able to enjoy our weekend. I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you have pets or want to be treated respectfully.

This studio was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed. The studio was very clean, well decorated, stocked with all supplies, in a safe location and the communication with the host was very easy.We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend staying at this property. My partner, myself, and our little dog absolutely loved our stay here while visiting my sister over Halloween weekend. Churchill is such a beautiful spot, especially during the fall season! The studio was the perfect size for us, and although we didn’t use the kitchen for cooking we spent a lot of time admiring all of the features and appliances. Every thing was clean, the bed was admittedly more comfy than our bed at home. Our pup also appreciated the bowls and treats left for him upon our arrival! We would love to stay again next time we visit!

You have to stay in this cozy studio. It was located in a convenient location. It was well worth the cost. The owner was extremely responsive and made the stay a pleasurable experience.

We loved our stay in the Studio! We biked from Williamsburg to RVA and needed a break pace to crash. This was perfectly central to the food, coffee, and friends. Our lodging provided everything we needed - a nice kitchen (we didn’t use, but know we can in the future!), a space to eat, a super comfy bed, and a spacious bathroom with all the amenities. We spent some time hanging out on the porch and meeting neighbor dogs! Highly recommend The Studio @ Eanes Drug!

Apparently the studio was perfect. I checked in with the cat around 8:30pm. Exhausted from our trip. My daughter arrived around 10:30pm. The longer we stayed the more dirty places we saw. When I called the owner all I got was I need to leave the premises immediately and totally disregard my remarks about the cleanliness besides blaming me for creating the dirt.

Absolutely fantastic. The space is beautiful and spotless. The bed cozy and comfortable. Plenty to do in the neighborhood after long days here on business. Lovely food recommendations. Brick sidewalks are wonderfully charming but I do not recommend if you have any balance problems. I took a hard fall outside of the Poe Museum. Maybe an angry ghost tripped me? Kind Richmonders lifted me to my feet with great kindness. Really a fun city and ideal neighborhood for my purposes and preferences. Thank you David and The Loft at Eanes Drugs!

This was a nice cozy space, clean, and stocked! The host David was amazing! Responded very quickly, and check-in was flawless. This was a very relaxing stay, the walk to Libby Park while the sunrise was amazing. The historic of the area was a the walk to Libby Park while the sunrise was amazing. What a beautifully appointed vacation rental. We absolutely loved our charming studio in the Church Hill section of Richmond. It was exactly as pictured on the VRBO site. David supplied all items needed for a seamless stay in this lovely section of town. Eateries recommended in his guide book were spot on. Will definitely pass along this info to friends & family.

David’s lodging was beautifully appointed, quiet and clean. A lovely, walkable neighborhood with some delightful coffee shops and eateries. An excellent location for us. I would certainly lodge there again, and will recommend it to any family or friends in need of a place to stay in Richmond.

We went to Richmond to attend a concert at the Allianz Amphitheater. Unfortunately, due to lightning in the area, our event was canceled. Since we were already in the city, we decided to stay, and had an amazing time in this home. There is a wonderful bakery on one corner of the street (Honey Baked Bee - amazing!!) and a nice diner/cafe/bar on the other corner (The Hill Cafe - get the Brussels Sprouts!!) We spent the rest of our time enjoying the peace and quiet of the apartment and the surrounding area. We walked to a park nearby that overlooks the city, enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch, and were able to sleep undisturbed without our children complaining about how hungry they are first thing in the morning. It was a very nice space and full of everything you might need for a couples escape. We would definitely stay here again!

I was delighted by how charming, cozy, and well-appointed this studio apartment is decorated and furnished. It looks newly renovated and there's clearly been a lot of thought and care put into this space. It's located in one of Richmond's most historical neighborhoods (Church Hill) and very conveniently located to downtown Richmond. The next time I visit Richmond, I definitely would love to stay here again, it was so comfortable that I immediately felt right at home. Highly recommend.

Cozy studio equipped with everything we needed for a brief stay. Easy street parking in an historic area and walking distance to some local eats/coffee. The area felt safe to walk around at night with our pup. The host was great with communication and even left some dog treats for our pup! Would definitely recommend this listing and would stay again.
