Craig's Cozy Cabin - Promenade jusqu'au lac, restauration, épicerie

Nous pensons que c'est la petite cabane la plus mignonne de tout Tahoe. Rénové à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur pour conserver la sensation originale de la cabine des années 1940 avec tout le confort et les commodités du 21e siècle. Et vous ne pouvez pas battre l'emplacement. Il est idéal pour les activités familiales avec la plage, le centre de loisirs, la piscine, la patinoire et le centre pour personnes âgées à deux pâtés de maisons.

Le nombre maximum de personnes autorisées à la maison est le suivant: 6 pour les familles avec enfants, ou 4 adultes maximum.

Votre chien est également le bienvenu avec une pré-approbation! La cour arrière est entourée d'une clôture en fer forgé de 3 '.

La cabine est située juste à côté de notre unité "RnR Vacation Rentals World Headquarters". Nous ne louons jamais la belle-famille, bien que parfois les propriétaires, Stu & Diana, y restent. Ils sont fiers d'être invisibles pour les clients qui restent dans la cabine confortable, à moins bien sûr que vous ayez besoin d'aide ou que vous souhaitiez discuter. Pendant la journée, vous pouvez voir les membres de notre équipe du Service mobile ou notre personnel de nettoyage alors qu'ils traversent l'unité de la belle-famille pour récupérer des fournitures dans le hangar privé à l'arrière, mais ne vous inquiétez pas, ils ne perturberont pas non plus vos vacances.

La cuisine a été entièrement rénovée avec des comptoirs en granit, du parquet et de nouveaux appareils. Il est entièrement rempli de plats, casseroles et poêles et ustensiles pour une préparation facile des repas. Chacune des chambres est joliment décorée avec de lourds meubles en pin, des courtepointes et un éclairage qui cadrent parfaitement avec le décor.

3 vélos sont inclus pour vous permettre de vous déplacer en ville ou de monter et descendre les montagnes.

Il y a une terrasse à l'arrière et un bain à remous de luxe (le bain à remous est situé derrière la belle-famille détachée, cette unité n'est pas à louer, mais est parfois utilisée par les propriétaires, vous n'aurez jamais à partager le privé jacuzzi). Nous fournissons un barbecue à gaz et quelques chaises longues pour se détendre aussi.

Le salon confortable comprend une télévision haute définition, un foyer au gaz, un canapé futon et deux chaises.

La salle de bain comprend une douche et une laveuse / sécheuse superposables.

Le wifi est gratuit dans toute la maison.

Pendant l'hiver, la maison est très chaleureuse, grâce à une excellente isolation, des fenêtres à double vitrage et des stores en bois très lourds. La maison est dans l'un des développements les plus historiques de South Lake Tahoe, conçu en 1929. Le quartier est un mélange de cabanes mignonnes, de rénovations et de nouvelles maisons. L'épicerie la plus proche est Safeway, une promenade facile de 1/2 mile.

Le complexe de loisirs de la ville est juste au coin de la rue, avec des aires de jeux, une piscine (à l'intérieur en hiver), une patinoire intérieure, des terrains de sport éclairés, des courts, un disc-golf, une partie pour animaux de compagnie et des installations intérieures pour le yoga, le Pilates et plus encore.

Very nice cabin close to amenities

Nice cabin in great location., close to Rufus Allen Blvd. Fenced in backyard is not dog proof if you have escape artists! Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.

Loved our time here

We loved the cabin. The hot tub was great. Location close to everything. The only drawback is the living room furniture. It isn’t comfy, and when u come in from all day outside u want to lay around and talk on a. Comfy couch. The chairs were horrid But loved the rental company. Easy to work with. Cabin was super cute

What we liked was that the cabin is located close to the lake, close to restaurants and shopping, yet in a very calm old neighborhood, where I could take the dog for a walk without being run over, as well as close to parks and open nature areas. The cabin is small, but perfectly accomodating for a weeks stay. It is also close to the ski-sport area!

We saw a bear stroll by early one morning from the front porch. Great hiking in Lake Tahoe area & aqua blue water secluded beaches to hike to just a short drive away.

Not as clean as everyone described

We knew this was a pet friendly place. But a bunch of reviews reported how clean it was. It smelled like they vacuumed with a full vacuum. It just blew the dust and dirt around. My 6 year old who has seasonal allergies but is managed with a single kids Claritin daily wasn’t sitting in a chair for less than 30 minutes and started sneezing and was covered in dog hair. His eyes got puffy and started getting welts all over. He’s been around dogs before and never had a problem like this. To make it through the night I had to load him up on Benadryl. There were signs everywhere saying no dogs on furniture. Dog hair was visible on bed sheets. We complained to the property rental company and they dropped off a brand new vacuum and fresh bedsheets. They also offered a discounted price for our stay. Not worth me spending one day of my vacation cleaning a house that wasn’t mine and still getting charged even a cleaning fee. My sons allergies were much better once we cleaned. I wish I could post the pictures. I regret booking this place. Pros: hot tub *with strict time restrictions Water pressure was great Close enough to the state line Nice neighborhood Cons: Noise Aware decibel sound measuring in the house to make sure you aren’t to loud but they report it’s “100% privacy compliant” (that’s too Big brother for me) Mattresses were old and very springy No dishwasher I’m really sad to post this but it’s the truth.

We maintain a very high standard of cleanliness and we apologize that the home was not up to your satisfaction in terms of pet hair. We’re glad we were able to work hard to try to remedy the situation by buying and delivering a brand new vacuum and new bed sheets. In the future, we do recommend renting a home that does not allow pets to avoid this situation completely and protect your son from his severe pet dander allergies. Noise Aware is a standard across vacation rentals, and especially in towns like South Lake Tahoe where city ordinances and rules for vacation rentals are extremely strict. We provide information about the noise aware software on all of our listings, so guests are aware of the technology before they decide to book. We apologize again for the unfortunate circumstance with the pet hair and hope you were able to enjoy some time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.

Great little cabin!

It really is COZY and was great for 4 people. It's very pretty and nicely decorated. I loved the washer/dryer in the bathroom so we could easily keep up with dirty clothes. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was nice and big with good jets. The beds were comfortable and fairly firm. Thanks so much for everything!

Love this cabin

Cozy cabin and excellent location. Very well kept interior. The hot tub was a treat after a long day of skiing. Has everything you would need in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Reviewer Comments: We loved the hot tub in the back, the cozy living room, and the kitchen was wonderful and perfect for a ski weekend with a few friends.We disliked the amount of notices about the hot tub and late hours - we felt like we were being watched the whole time. And a 10PM curfew felt a little early, especially if we are just relaxing after a long day. The other issue was the trash - there was no indication of where to recycle and this troubled us. I hope a situation can be worked out for future guests as this will be a real problem!

We apologize that the rules for Vacation renters in the City of South Lake Tahoe are so strict. In fact, our vacation rental ordinance is one of the strictest in the country. We make an extra effort to communicate the rules very clearly since we’d hate for any of our guests to be surprised with an expensive fine on their vacation. Thank you for your feedback on the trash/recycling. The city of South Lake Tahoe sorts the trash for recycling, which is why we do not provide different bins for recycling - this is great information for our future guests to note and this information is also provided in our Welcome Packet. The bed situation is completely mislabeled on Air B&B though, there are only 2 queen beds total in the house. I think the couch could pull out for a third sleeping arrangement, but it was definitely only a 4 person cabin with the size of the space. There was also a second cabin a right behind us, where people were staying, which we didn’t know about. We shared the backyard with these people, so a lot less private than expected. Overall 8/10 experience.

The sleeping arrangement at this 2-bedroom home is two queen beds and one sofa sleeper in the living room. The sofa sleeper can sleep up to two people, but it is only suitable for children. This is why we only allow up to four adults and two children at this cabin as mentioned in the listing. The in-law unit is also detailed in our listing as the “RnR Headquarters”. The owners of the company, Stu and Diana, occasionally stay there, but it is never rented out to other guests. This is all good information for future guests to note. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway

Had an amazing time staying here for a quiet getaway. The location is fantastic and the house exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, well maintained and had all of the comforts of home. My family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and playing games by the fire.

Best property I’ve stayed at. Beyond clean. Cozy and major cabin feel. Everything we needed and more was provided in the house. Hot tub was amazing under the trees and the smart tv was ready with Disney plus and Netflix. Plenary of room for out bikes and the neighborhood was soooo quiet and great for the kids to ride their bikes. Only negative was I needed more days to enjoy it. Can’t wait to get back to Craig’s cozy cabin. We will absolutely be back.

It was ok...

So I read the reviews (of course) - specifically about the beds being terrible to sleep on - the reviews were from a year or two ago, so I thought, "well they've probably done something about those". Nope. We didn't sleep - AT ALL. The review about uncomfortable furniture - also correct. The chairs are tiny (My husband is 6'2" and could not relax in them at all) and the couch - the seat cushions just slide right out! The cabin in general seems clean, but I feel this is subjective as we all have different degrees of cleanliness. I personally am a hyper clean person so I never leave comments on general cleanliness though I do have to say this - my family's feet were black after walking on the carpet when we first arrived and there after. Now, I don't know if this is from the dirt outside that got tracked in and not vacuumed - not sure but otherwise the bathroom, surfaces and kitchen seemed to all be mostly clean. Also, if you are traveling summer, this place does not have air conditioning - probably a miss on my end. Or a dishwasher - I hate doing dishes on vacation by hand. Lastly, the cabin in the back does make every attempt to stay hidden from view, yet it still does not feel very private as all the window are open everywhere - especially in summer, you feel like you have to whisper or you'll be fined $1000. It just felt so weird we didn't even go outside - we were afraid to do anything that created any amount of noise because of the extra fines. We tried as much as possible to not hang out there except to eat and sleep so it worked out, and we had great weather, but I won't be going back to this little cozy cabin -- it was just too cozy, hot and uncomfortable for me.

Sara, thank you for your review. As I’m sure you noticed in the previous reviews you read, beds are tricky--while some guests comment on how comfortable they are, others prefer a different type of mattress. We are bummed to hear you didn’t enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces this cabin has to offer out of fear of being fined for noise violations. Quiet hours for vacation rentals are heavily enforced in Tahoe, but are only between the hours of 10pm-8am. Air conditioning is certainly a rare find in Tahoe, which is why we provide portable fans in every bedroom. For future guests, we always recommend leaving the blinds closed during the day, then opening the windows in the evening to let in the brisk mountain air.

Very nice place

Excellent place. Only problem electric fireplace didn’t work. Property manager responded quickly and offered to fix it, I was just too busy to Waite for technician. But I would rent it again centrally located and very cozy. Very nice for four people.

The street is a block from Rufus Allen Blvd. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the cabin was comfortable an clean. The back fence will not keep a curious dog contained however.

Hidden gem!

We are a family of 4 with 2 small dogs and the cabin was just right. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, plenty of beach/bath towels & bedrooms/beds cozy. The location is close to several attractions, grocery stores, restaurants & shops. We’ll definitely be back!

Location location location

The cabin is located in a nice quiet part of town, close to parks, yet also close to the main artery of the area. The cabin is very cozy (=small). While the bedrooms and kitchen are plenty big enough for 4 people, while the living room is somewhat on the small side. For two it is perfect. We got there during the winter, and the access was smothered in salt! This was horrible; our dogs got it on their paws and we got it stuck in the carpet from our shoes (an entry for shues and jackets is one of the things missing). I went out and brushed the snow away everyday and everything was fine. The cabin was laid very close to another cabin, and shared the backyard and hot tub; if the other cabin had been occupied, that might have been a problem. Using an electronic door lock rather than getting a standard key, proved easy and uncomplicated. Overall, we enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Reviewer Comments: The Cozy Cabin is located in a very nice part of town (for us anyway), close to parks and in a nice cul-de-sac type residential area, yet just a short walk away from restaurants and general shopping. The cabin is indeed cozy, yet with good size bedrooms and kitchen, while the living room might be a little on the too cozy side for any party larger than 2 people (we were only two people). The cabin was in good condition and well cleaned. The small backyard, and associated hot-tub, while nice, however, is shared with another rental cabin, which, if it had been rented, and if we had wanted to use it, again might have been a bit too cozy for comfort. The only matter that we did not like about our stay was how much salt had been used to clear the walkway. After having walked on the salt pepples dragged into the living room carpet in my socks one time too many the first day, I subsequently proceeded to brush it, and any and all snow, away, which was a much better solution.

We drove less than 5 mins to get to any outside activities like the beach, bike riding, ice skating. The hot tub jacuzzi and comfortable bedding we’re my personal highlights. The open access to all of the kitchen supplies made all of our meals a breeze! At one point, we thought the internet wasn’t working but it turned out it was our game system. Regardless, the owner showed up promptly to our door as soon as we called the rental company. He even helped fix our system. Haha. The owners were welcoming and friendly. My 5 yr old keeps asking when we’ll go back to the cabin! I’d come back each month if I could afford. Thank you! :)
