Have been staying here in the fall for the last few years. It's exactly as advertised and the location is great. The recently added bathroom and deck are both game changers.
We had a great stay! Weâve biked KT for years and this is by far our favorite location to stay. The place was set up and stocked with everything we needed at the cabin, including several fans for a few hot nights. The owner was very nice, we would definitely stay again in the future.
We loved this property: On the trails, close to the village, the open floor plan allowed us to all interact, the huge deck was great for hanging out! We loved the fire pit and the entire laid back "Cabin"! This is a perfect place to stay if your a rowdy, beer drinking group of MTB'ers! We have stayed in over 10 properties in East Burke every September and this was one of our favorites!!!!
Cabin was pretty rustic, run down and beat up. We were there for mountain biking so location was fantastic for early season. Linens were clean, outdoor shower and washroom were good. Furniture needs replacing, was soaked in febreeze and stayed damp for first two days. The accommodation fit our needs but would be a tough sell for some .
Shower and bathroom are outside, couldnât sit anywhere inside mouse droppings are on all furniture , couldnât keep counter clean, plus they are not afraid they ran around while lights are on and people talking and nest everywhere. TV didnt work. Trash was full when we arrived. Besides that location is awesome, close to down town and easy ride to multiple trail heads.
Owner was very friendly and able to answer some questions periodically as we have them. It was very comfortable, very much what we were hoping it would be. I would recommend visiting the info center to get your pass and information about how to access Kingdom trails if itâs your first time as it was ours. We rode Burke mountain downhill one day and trails all the others. Took a dip in the river down by the center of town, purchased or meet at the little market place half a mile down, and loved the kitchen and sleeping arrangements. We were three momâs and 4 teen boys. Wifi Was good, we loved outdoor shower and fully plumbed outdoor bathroom attached to the house as it was. The wraparound porch with lighted dining is perfect. Little fire pit with Adirondack chairs made for another nice gathering Spot. No need to change a thing
Exactly what we were looking for. Residence was clean, located perfectly near biking trails and gave us a great place to rest and recharge before hitting the trails again
A beautiful and rustic cabin, as advertised. It has a completely functional kitchen, ample dining and hang out/living space downstairs, and many beds in an open/hostel style layout upstairs. The bathroom is outside, but fully plumbed; likewise, the outdoor shower has hot water. The deck is fabulous. It is a rustic cabin (and priced appropriately) so if you are looking for more amenities, look elsewhere. But if you want an affordable and very comfortable accommodation located ride/in ride out to the Kitchel trail that your nieces, nephews and brother in law can join you at, then this spot is perfect. (I'll give it a 4.9 because the driveway is a manageable pain).
Have stayed here annually for the last several years, was always a perfect low key place to stay to ride for a few days. Low and behold this year there were some changes to the property. the new deck is huge and is a game changer, and the new bathroom was also great! Go ahead and take my money!
This cabin is perfect for mountain bike enthusiasts! Itâs rustic but has plenty of great amenities including a gorgeous post and beam porch, an outdoor shower, and a fire pit. The converted barn has good vibes, good storage, and a really fun sleeping loft. Proximity to town, trails, and being pet friendly make this place a five plus star rental. We canât wait to come again!
This place was just what we needed for our group of friends. Better than camping, more flexible to our group size than a traditional house. Clean, neat and well stocked kitchen. porta Pot had been freshly cleaned and was no big deal. Outdoor shower was great. And the location! After dinner laps on Kitchel anybody? Fantastic.
This property is located on the most picturesque location ⊠the converted barn was clean and had all the things we needed to cook . Itâs easy to drive to other amazing locations and near lovely restaurants and cafes ⊠itâs not a fancy stay but a really rustic fun cabin experience.
Great stay for a fantastic mountain biking vacation
The barn was great for my family. I loved the way this building has been converted, the woodwork, the details, etc. Everything you need is here, the kitchen is well equipped, the outdoor shower is awesome and plenty hot. The port-a-potty is not luxurious by did the job.
We were a little warm upstairs in July but not uncomfortably so, especially with the fans. Awesome location close to many trails and town.
A guest book with instructions for check-out, what to do/not do, entry/exit would have been helpful.
Host was very responsive and helpful - would stay again in a heartbeat!
Great rental and location, canât beat the trail access and proximity to East Burke. Pics made property look a bit bigger than it is but able to handle a family crew or guys/girls trip.
Obviously I loved the location. My buddies (all around 50.) and I have been doing Kingdom Trails for 20 years and this is my favorite place to stay. It had easy access to the trails and very private which is key. The cabin was clean and comfortable but truly is a basic cabin. The outside shower was perfect and the porta potty was totally doable. Plenty of screens for the windows and fans if needed. I have camped and rented more comfortable places in the area but this was perfect for me and my friends. Renting again for sure.
