Momâs house is very cozy. Three nice sized bedrooms and two living rooms provide plenty of space for a family or group of eight. Many amenities are provided like a washer and dryer, stocked kitchen, BBQ grill, baby supplies, etc. We currently do not have backup power if the power goes out. However, we have emergency water jugs, flash lights and heaters for use if power does go out. Westmore is a beautiful area for all outdoor adventurists. Walk to the north end of Mt Pisgah trail from the house or drive to the south end of Lake Willoughby to find trails for Mt Pisgah and Mt Hor. Kayaks can be rented at the camp ground at the south end. Visit Sentinel Rock State Park just a short 5 minute drive north. Swim at the beautiful sandy beaches on either end of the lake and if you really want adventure check out the nude beach on the west side of the south end beach. So much to see and do in such a small but breath taking area of Vermont.
We had such a good time the few days we stayed here, it was peaceful, clean and everything we needed was there. Our host was always on call, and immediately answered if we had any questions. Would love to stay again
My name is Charlotte Marie Clements Mode. I go by Marie. My husband and I live in Oregon but travel to Vermont often as Vermont is my home and where I am from. I love the peace, quiet and an unplugged life as much as possible. Which is funny because we have 6 kids 4 of which still live at home. Ages 4-22. I miss Vermont and if circumstances change where I can move back then I wonât think twice about it. I like being able to share my houses with others and it keeps my houses in good shape. I like reading peoples stories left in my table notebook. So many love our little slice of heaven.
Grandmaâs Cottage next. To Momâs House has had 6 generations visiting there. Canât wait for the next generation to share this with me! The Indian burial ground is peaceful and comforting. I love the old growth pine trees and all the wildlife that passes through. I love Vermont.
My grandmother and grandfather bought this property in 1976. My mom built her house next door in 2001. Thatâs why itâs called Grandmaâs Cottage and Momâs House. My great grandma and my grand daughter have enjoyed this wonderful property. 6 generations of love and memories.
