Clean rooms and decently stocked kitchen. Great hot tub. Great views. Laundry machines worked great. Dishwasher was not functional while we were there but there is one. Maintenance was dispatched to work on it. Easy to communicate with the host.

The property was as described with the addition of a screen porch that doesn't appear in the photos. The place was clean, including the hot tub. The bed was so comfortable that we made note of the brand. The location is beautiful and mostly private. The only downside is that the neighbors access their property on the same road. Their gate is just beyond the cottage and overlooking the hot tub, so we only used it after the sun went down.
Beautiful view.
View from the road.

We loved the property. It was super peaceful, and romantic. Also the place was not far from Asheville or options for fine dining. I would stay at this property again. My husband and I loved it!

Mountain views are amazing. The propriety was very beautiful, and well maintained. The back screened in porch has a heater. Was a wonderful spot to have your morning coffee, and watch the sun move over the mountains in the distance. You definitely feel like you are in a quiet oasis. Refreshed, and quilted my sole, just what we needed. There's an air mattress in the bedroom closet if you needed more sleeping area. Plenty of bedding, and bathroom supplies. We parked near the railing near the trash can, out of the way of the nabor that is above the property. Even with a nabor we felt totally alone up here. There's a good side porch that runs along most of the home, not much yard, but that is understandable since it's on the side of a mountain. The gentleman that came over to answer questions, and show us how to use the thermostat, and the bear proof trash can. Was very polite. Said we could contact him with any concern, or issue. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and are looking forward to going back sometime in the future. We give it a very high score all the way around.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review! It's wonderful to know the home felt well-maintained, well-stocked, and that our team member was able to make you feel welcome and supported throughout your stay. We're so glad the experience left you refreshed and recharged, and we can't wait to welcome you back whenever you're ready for another mountain getaway!

We came here to stay for a second time because we loved it so much the first time around. Before going, I noticed a review mentioning the red firepit on the deck was gone. I reached out to AvantStay to ask about it, as it’s one of the reasons we rebooked. I was reassured it was still there but when we got there, it wasn’t. I can understand a listing needing to be updated but being lied to when I reached out about it put a bad taste in my mouth. The place itself is lovely. It was clean and and well stocked with kitchen necessities.. but when you’re paying over 300 a night for a place, you expect to get what’s advertised.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for choosing to stay with us again — we truly appreciate your loyalty. We’re very sorry for the misunderstanding about the firepit and completely understand your disappointment. That shouldn’t have happened, and we apologize for the miscommunication. We’re glad to hear you still enjoyed the home’s cleanliness and amenities, and we’ll make sure our team updates the listing to accurately reflect what’s available so future guests have the right expectations. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again for an even better experience.

Perfect weekend getaway

This place was perfect! Booked for a romantic weekend getaway. The house was well equipped with plenty of kitchen tools, expected spices/oils, and a hair dryer! (Wanted to mention, as I wasn’t sure and packed my own.) It’s at the end of a long driveway shared by 2 other houses, but you still have plenty of privacy. Googlemaps is slightly off on where to turn onto the gravel driveway, so go slowly and look for the sign. The property feels like a tree house and gave off the perfect relaxing vibes I was hoping for. Hot tub and stove on the deck were awesome for chilly/rainy nights. Rain storms sounded awesome on the roof. Absolutely recommend and will likely be returning myself :)

Treehouse like stay

Overall we loved the home!! The plus was secluded, quiet, and beautiful view. The downside was the directions put you at the house below the site and it was difficult to find at night. I’d recommend having directions to keep driving until you see the house number. Also better parking signs, designating the parking spaces. The walk from the parking to the deck is not hard but should be in the description. I couldn’t find the coffee kuregg cup and laundry detergent wasn’t easy find. Not enough hand towels in the bathroom. We loved the artsy feel and decor of the place. Also loved the gifts they left for us. All and all a really unique place and experience. Loved the shower!
