My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary during our stay, and Frank, the property owner, went above and beyond to make it special. He generously upgraded us from the Roundette to the house on the hill, which was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The overall experience was perfect. After a day out enjoying Asheville and the surrounding area, the peaceful nights were a welcome and comforting end to each day. We truly appreciated Frankâs kindness and hospitalityâit made our anniversary even more memorable.
The host was kind and informative, and gave excellent local recommendations. The property is quaint and peaceful and the fresh farm eggs were wonderful! We adventured 30 min away and rode horses through the National Forest at Saddle Up, enjoyed local meats, cheeses, sandwiches and smoothies at Trout Lily, and found an amazing blues band at the Local Joint. Awesome area and so much to do! Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at the Roundette this past weekend. The location is ideal for a trip to Asheville. It's cozy, has everything you could possibly need and a bed that is so comfortable! We truly enjoyed feeding the horses and goat if we weren't in the hot tub. We plan to return this fall!
My wife and I spent a couple nights in the round house and it was a treat! There were farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator waiting for us. They had coffee and creamer ready to go! They had a nugget/pellet ice maker...seriously....who doesn't love pellet ice?! The hot tub was ready to go. The house looks out over a fenced field where we were able to speak with, and sing to, several horses, goats, chickens, donkeys, etc. Either my nose doesn't work well or the animal smell was undetectable (I think it was the latter, because the only thing we could smell were the mountains). The location was family friendly, accessible, clean, and quiet (exactly what we were looking for). You can still see and feel the aftermath of Hurricane Helene on the property and around the entire area. We've got family from Clyde, NC (where we took our kiddo and pup while staying in the round house), and if you're thinking about going back to the area for vacation, they could certainly use the influx of tourism dollars. We will absolutely be back (our daughter was so disappointed that she couldn't stay with us that we had to promise her we'd take her back another time). The lone thing that I'd say could improve the stay, though I'm really having to stretch here: it would be nice if they allowed small dogs (we've got a well-behaved 11lb Cheagle that was dying to meet the farm animals), but I also completely understand why they don't. Thanks again! Hopefully, we'll see you soon!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property and cannot wait to visit again! The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, feeding the animals, and relaxing in the quiet. Frank is an absolute GEM of a human being. Truly, Iâve never met a nicer host.
Accommodations were relaxing and enjoyable. Frank and Danny were extremely helpful during an emergent condition. The Cove Hobby Farm is a recommended location!
This was a return visit for us at this property. Everything was perfect! We stayed in 2011 and had plans to return but was hesitant with the recent Hurricane damage. Yes, there were some small inconveniences around the area with food and drink options but nothing that deterred our stay. This was a fantastic getaway and very relaxing. We will be back and I would say, please come and show your support to the community. They need the business to help bring back normalcy and financial stability!
Wow, what an amazing property. So much better than getting a hotel room. The communication with Frank prior to arrival was great for accurate directions and any questions we might have. Then he meets you at check in to go over property and give recommendations. And he has some great advice! The roundette is perfectly appointed. We used the grill for steaks and cooked the fresh eggs that were given to us in the morning and had all the needed utensils. Hot tub on deck was amazing and very private even though there are other buildings on the property. But the property is the real star of the show here. Although you are only minutes from Asheville, you feel like you are tucked away on a small mountain farm. With the animals, koi pond, and lush landscaping you can tell a lot of hard work went in to making this place great. Thank you Frank and staff for a wonderful weekend, we will book again.
The stay was absolutely amazing. The roundette was better than expected. Location was close to town but far enough away to be able to escape reality. Would certainly stay here again.
Frank has such a beautiful property! His hard work and dedication to perfection can be seen throughout this property. The landscaping is gorgeous!!
The property itself is very pretty and clean! It smelled so good when we arrived. We enjoyed 6 nights here starting on July 3, 2024. The fresh eggs were a plus to an already lovely stay. There are grocery stores and multiple delicious restaurants nearby. Ask Frank for his recommendations!
We used this property as a point to get in and around Asheville. It is close to everything. We went to the Biltmore and did the Lake Lure tour. Both highly recommended. The only regret is that we didn't stay longer!
Highly recommended property!
My daughter and me had a great time during our stay there. My daughter especially enjoyed feeding the animals in the barn every day. The house is clean and with all we needs. The host is very nice to walk through the house and surrounding when we checked in. The location is also very convenient and near to a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants and grocery stores. We really love it!
We planned to stay here while we visited Asheville for a long weekend - and we ended up wishing weâd taken a few more days off just to stay at the accommodation! Beautiful views, a communicative host, and the koi pond made this one a great escape.
The round house was a perfect escape for our 30 year anniversary. The owner has thought of everything and created a beautiful space both inside and outside. Love the grounds with decades of quality landscaping and the privacy it afforded. So close to Asheville and yet remote and private. Thank you for everything!
The property was absolutely beautiful. The flowering plants were in full bloom and the setting was gorgeous. We felt like we had escaped to a quaint, mountain retreat. The owners were knowledgeable and provided great recommendations for places to visit and eat. A couple of highlights included the fresh eggs and a chance to see the horses, chickens, and goats. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful setting and a shorter drive to the city than the map suggests. Loved the animals and the outdoor spaces. All the amenities were perfect for a quiet couples getaway. We loved the hot tub and highly recommend booking a massage. Immaculate grocery store nearby for supplies. We loved every minute of our stay. Can't wait to come back and explore Asheville and the surrounding area more from this sweet little home away from home.
Staying at Frank's property was an absolute treat. Upon arrival he was very welcoming and told us all we needed to know about the location and gave us invaluable suggestions on places to go, etc. The property was beautiful, well-kept, and relaxing - we could not have asked for more. This is definitely a fantastic spot for animal lovers. The critters at their hobby farm were a delight to interact with and the eggs were delicious if you decide to stay in for breakfast! I would highly recommend this stay and would definitely book again.
Very comfortable domicile on a nice, relaxing property. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the animals in the pasture. Frank is a very welcoming person.
My stay at My Roundette couldnât have been more perfect! The atmosphere of the bungalow couldnât have been more tranquil and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful property. Couldnât recommend more!
After retiring from a 33 year career in sales management/ marketing, we visited our oldest daughter Etta and fell in love with Asheville. We moved to the Asheville Area in 2002 and lived in the house that became our first rental, âOur House.â (We built a cabin on the property and moved into it). Soon to follow, came our youngest daughter, Farris, and her now husband Danny. In 2009 their daughter Alyssa arrived and in 2015 Haley was born, making this a true family business.
We fell in love with Asheville and all it has to offer. We then decided to share the beauty of the Asheville Area and the hospitality of the Smokey Mountains with others. âOur Houseâ and âMy Roundetteâ were on the property when we originally bought it. Both have since been remodeled. We then purchased additional land and built âMy Place,â âThe Huntley,â âThe Garden Cabin,â and âHideout.â
The Cove at Fairview is committed to providing safe vacation rentals in a beautiful setting. We have taken several measures to ensure the safety of our guests and our staff. These efforts include the use of disinfecting agents and longer cleaning times. All of the homes have private places to gather, such as porches and decks. Our larger homes feature outdoor fireplaces. We have several stunning outdoor areas. Have a picnic or relax in a hammock at Koi Falls. Koi Falls features gentle waterfalls and two Koi Ponds. Many of our guests enjoy going to the Barn to interact with animals. We also have seating at The Lotus Pond and on Flower Hill. While being very private and close to nature, you are still afforded all of the conveniences of technology such as high speed internet. Kick back, relax, and have a true retreat or a wonderful place to land after an exhausting day of fun (downtown is only 15 minutes away). There are also several breweries and restaurants outside of Asheville, as well many outdoor activities including hiking.
