NEWLY REDONE ONE OF A KIND ski in/ski out or quick shuttle ride from our "Cottonwood Chalet"! This top-floor condo has recently been updated to a HUGE 3 BR/3 BA + Loft. The condo offers a community shared hot tub with incredible west-facing sunset views, gas grill and located just 70 yards to the West Wall lift! Features include: 1 car garage + uncovered parking, ski lockers, bike storage, private deck, WiFi throughout, washer/dryer in unit, designated work desk in unit & smart TVs in each room.
The space
The unit was originally designed to be a 1727sq ft semi-cramped 4 bedroom, 4 bath + loft condo, but has been renovated and converted to an oversized 3 bedroom, 3 bath (+ loft) luxury chalet. Truly one of a kind. In fact, this unit is our small piece of "Paradise"!
The unit offers a ski in/ski out experience with a short 70 yard ski or walk to the nearest West Wall chairlift, which typically opens 7 to 10 days before Christmas. When you first enter the unit, there is a generous sized mud room that includes two boot dryers, plenty of hooks/storage for accessories and an oversized built-in bench. In addition, the unit has a separate ski locker only assessible to you and your guests. The community hot tub is open year round and offers spectacular views after your full day of skiing or hiking! Features of the condo include a private / covered 1-car garage space + uncovered parking, bike storage, gas grill, new washer/dryer, new fridge, stainless steel appliances, new 50" smart TVs in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, and much, much more. Enjoy the valley and mountain views from the condo's large private deck, the living room and the upstairs master bedroom.
**Please note that the unit is located on the top level and requires two flights of stairs. Although there is no elevator located in the unit, you are free to drive up the driveway towards the back building (Dogwood Building) and there is a convenient side entrance which allows you to avoid the stairs!! Breathe easy!**
The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new silverware, cookware, coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, dishes, bowls, cups and utensils. To accommodate your large groups, there is enough dining to seat 12 guests comfortably (dining table seats 8, with 4 additional bar height seats at kitchen bar).
Enjoy new king mattresses in 2 out of the 3 bedrooms, with an additional bedroom that has two (2) sets of twin bunkbeds (for a total of 4 beds). The bedroom layout sleeps 8 , with a bonus queen size sleeper sofa option for an additional 2 guests to sleep comfortably.
The first master bedroom is located on the main floor of the unit (with an interior view) and has a new 50" smart TV. The second master bedroom is on the second floor and has large windows with amazing views of the mountains and a new 50" smart TV. The 3rd bedroom is located on the second floor has 2 sets of single bed bunkbeds.
**Please note that we will making some nice upgrades (I.e. complete interior painting, new furniture, new mattresses, new outdoor furniture, new art, new washer/dryer, new fridge, new pillows and linens, new towels, etc, etc, etc.) in the near future so don't be suprised if you walk into the condo and things seem even better than they appeared in the pictures!!**
Trails and downhill bike park are easily accessible without driving! A short bike ride to the main lift service for summer downhill and only .5 miles to the Westside trail and Upper Loop trail (see MTB project for other nearby trails). For those folks visiting from Texas, please note that José, a mexican restraurant at the base of the mountains, serves margaritas and QUESO and is just an 8-minute walk away...we timed it!
The condo has a dedicated work desk with a comfortable desk chair allowing you to work remotely.
The unit (and mountain) is extremely family friendly - the condo includes pack n' play crib with mattress, sound machine, kid/baby essentials like plates, bowls and cups, baby monitor(s) and portable high chair. There is a playground area just above the unit on the mountain side of the condo.
Ski in/out or FREE Shuttle: Ski to lift great for all skiers and ski to condo is best for intermediate skiers. Ski in/out is dependent West Wall Lift operating (which, as mentioned above, traditionally opens 7 to 10 days before Christmas). The Ski to the Resort is from the condo to West Wall lift (or Peachtree lift), which are on Skier's left side of the resort, one lift from the resort base area. First time skiers can also ski on green trails to bottom of West Wall lift, then walk up to the condo (or shuttle back to condo). Winter shuttle is also available between main ski resort area and Condo, with connection to the Town of Crested Butte. The winter shuttle stops at the bottom of the parking lot where it meets Hunter Hill Rd. The Crystal/ Castle free shuttle goes between the Ski Resort base area and the condos every 30 minutes. During non-Winter months, walk .25 miles down the road to catch the main resort to town shuttle. Feel free to request the condo information which includes these details plus Maps.
No Pets, No Smoking. HOA mandates that "quiet" hours are from 10 PM - 7 AM. Recognizing that "quiet" is subjective, we just ask you to please be mindful of your neighbors.
Colorado ski resorts (especially Crested Butte) can get a LOT of snow and this unit is perched up a fairly steep drive for ski in/out access and great views! All Wheel Drive or 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are recommended in winter months.
One car garage space keeps your car clear of snow in winter, plus there is additional parking in front of the unit (2 dedicated spaces). The garage cannot accommodate cars with rooftop boxes, but a vehicle can be parked in front of the garage. There is also an overflow lot near the hot tub, but those spaces are not dedicated and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
The Paradise Condos are located just off the beaten path. Crested Butte is known for some of the best lift-served Ski and Mountain Biking terrain in the nation. Home to the longest extreme skiing competition in the world, quirky costume events and our friendly vibe, Crested Butte is a place you want to add to your bucket list. Surrounded by 1.7 million acres of National Forest, there is no shortage of activities to embrace all year long! You can hike, bike, and cross country ski, right out your front door in any direction. With so many events and fun things to do year-round, it's always a good time to visit Crested Butte.
