«Little Bear Cottage» de Yosemite's Suite Retreat Perfect for 2 est un studio unique ou une «petite maison» situé au centre de 2 attractions principales; Parc national de Yosemite, Bass Lake, puis d'innombrables autres activités de plein air entre les deux.
Le «Little Bear Cottage» est à 1 niveau et idéal pour deux offrant un lit queen-size tempur-pedic.
Venez séjourner dans une chambre confortable et propre après une journée d'aventure. Profitez de la terrasse clôturée avec une boisson, un barbecue ou un repas ou peut-être retournez dans l'un des nombreux restaurants raffinés que cette région a à offrir. Ce chalet propose une kitchenette bien équipée avec un petit réfrigérateur / congélateur, un four micro-ondes (veuillez ne PAS apporter de plaques de cuisson, de plaques de cuisson ou de plaques de cuisson) et un grand évier de cuisine également partagé comme évier de la salle de bains. Pour la douche, nous proposons des serviettes propres et fraîches pour votre usage. Cette chambre dispose également de la climatisation, d'une télévision à écran plat Samsung de 28 pouces avec le boîtier central de Direct TV, ainsi que d'une connexion Wi-Fi. Cette unité est chauffée par un joli foyer au propane avec thermostat pour une utilisation facile.

my own Yosemite stay cottage

Beautiful and cute cabin. I really enjoyed my stay here. Sharon (the host) was quite responsive to my questions. Really nice location about a mile up from the center of Oakhurst and about 35 minutes or so from the Southgate of Yosemite (I take my curvy roads rather slowly). I have no complaints and would recommend this cottage to anyone considering visiting Yosemite. It’s an excellent value compared to the 400 plus per night (I saw some places in the park charging up to several thousand dollars a night!!) you will have to spend if you actually want to stay inside the park.

Perfect little cabin

Cabin has all you need to enjoy the great outdoors. We came from out of state to hike Yosemite. Was a great location with grocery stores and gas stations close by along with being right down 41….not a bad drive up to Yosemite each day! Highly recommend for travelers who do not need all the extras! Host was very friendly and helpful! Definitely will be staying here again when we come back to hike!

Perfect little cabin

We had a great stay at Sharon’s Little Bear Cabin. It has everything you need with room to move around. We both had 2 nights of great sleep! We enjoyed our time there.

Great Stay

Yosemite’s Suite Retreat was as advertised and just what we needed for our visit to the area and to attend a wedding at Yosemite. We really loved the privacy and being in our own space. Found several great restaurants close by. Would definitely stay again. Good communication with host.

The small cottage was just as it was advertised. I kinda wished it had a stove. We made do with the bbq. Was a great setting and comfortable accomodations

Lost Reservation

We reserved this property on May 26, 2025 through VRBO. We got a confirmation, charge was made on my credit card and we received no less than (3) more confirmations leading up to our "scheduled" reservation. Once we arrived at the property about 1.5 hours after check in, the gate to property wasn't open as was described in the check in reservation info. So I called the property mgr, whom didn't pick up until after 6 attempts. Finally property mgr picked up asking "who is this and nobody is checking today..."Apparently even after multiple confirmation emails from VRBO, property mgr "had the wrong date of check in".She did apologize for the mess up and offered to clean the property, which might take a couple of hours. It was approaching 6pm, we were tired and hungry after long drive. We had already purchased food to prepare at property and now were left scrambling to find a hotel room over a Holiday Weekend. We were lucky we got one of the last rooms at a nearby hotel, as most properties were sold out. This mistake not only caused stress and aggravation for us, but cost us hundreds of dollars more paying for a high price, last minute hotel room and now had to waste most of our groceries purchased for cooking. I have done VRBO countless times and this has NEVER happened to me. I would suggest not booking here because she might "loose your reservation".Buyer beware

Really is perfect for two..

We had a great time staying at the suite retreat! It was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed right at our fingertips. Although the studio is right around the corner from 41 and all the shops you would need, it still feels like you are far away from it all. It is also very close to the park's Southern entrance, Bass Lake, and some amazing hikes outside of Yosemite. Thanks for a great place to call home for our vacation.

Perfect place

My wife and I (as well as our dog) just came back from a two night stay at The Little Bear Cottage. We couldn't be happier with the experience. The cottage offered all we needed: a great bed, kitchenette, and relaxing atmosphere. It's located just 15 miles from the south gate of Yosemite and there are a number of great restaurants in the area. If we ever get back to Yosemite, we would certainly contact Sharon & Mike.

The little cottage was perfect for the two of us. We look forward to staying here again.

I'm glad we chose this cottage for our weekend getaway to Yosemite. We arrived earlier than check in and were pleasantly greeted by Sharon and her husband. It wasn't quite ready so we grabbed some sandwiches from town and had a little picnic at Bass Lake. Cottage was fully equiped and clean. I was a little disappointed when we received a message from Sharon a week before our arrival that the stove had been removed, but we made it work by bringing our own electric griddle. We plan to stay here the next time we visit Yosemite.

A great little getaway close to home

Well, we had just gotten married, and we were looking for a quiet place to celebrate a weekend honeymoon, abd judt be wuth eachother.This lovely little cottage offered just that. It was comfortable, and stocked with everything we might need. We were able make nice meals, and relax inside and out. I had envisioned it being a little more secluded, but that was not an issue. Sharon was a gracious host, there to help with anything. She even came out late in the evening to change out a propane tank, and relight the pilot in the gas fireplace, which in itself was very inviting. We enjoyed ourselves while in the area, and will definitely consider coming back to stay in the little bear cottage .

Charming Cottage

The cottage was clean and very welcoming, we had a wonderful 2 day stay and would definitely return. Sharon & Mike were friendly without overstepping their bounds. We appreciate the fact that they allowed us to bring our 2 dogs Kobe & Mia and it was nice to know that they were the first dogs to ever stay at the cottage. Hopefully they won't be the last LOL. Another plus if you are going to Yosemite this cottage is one of the closest to the south entrance that you will find. Thank for your hospitality, hope to be back soon

Did not want to leave.

This was our first time renting someone else's home and it was fabulous!! Our goal was Yosemite National Park and the location of the rental is about 45 minutes to an hour (depending how you drive the mountain roads) to the heart of the park (where most tourists go). We loved the grounds of the home and it was very clean and well equipped. While we chose not to bring our dogs on this trip we were happily surrounded by other animals which filled the void.:-) Sharon and Mike answered any questions or concerns we had and were very hospitable. If given the opportunity we will stay here again and recommend it to others. The solitude of the area is amazing and already missed now that we are back home. I slept better there than I do in my own home. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing home!! Denise and Joseph.

Little Bear Cottage

I was in the area for a couple of days for a gathering in nearby Fish Camp. The Bear cottage was a comfortable , clean, and quiet unit located just off the highway in Oakhurst. It’s located close to restaurants, shopping, and Bass Lake. It’s about 30 min from the South entrance to Yosemite. Sharon, the property host, gave clear instructions for check in/out. She and her husband live on site. I never got to meet them but it was nice knowing that assistance, if needed, was close by. A great stay…would definitely stay again!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This location is FABULOUS and convenient to Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake, lots of restaurants and less than 2 minutes from Oakhurst's town amenities yet we are nestled on 3 lovely acres.
Back in 2004 my partner Mike discovered this “gem” of a property and purchased it before it entered the real estate market and from there, we’ve had quite a journey. First it was an awesome place for Mike to tinker and put his passion for carpentry and pride of ownership to work while we rented to full time tenants. Then in 2010 we found ourselves living here unexpectedly from a remote mountain property. This place offered a lovely country setting yet being very close to Oakhurst’s township, Bass Lake and of course Yosemite. We were only using the Gingerbread Tiny House occasionally for friends and family when my dear friend Kirsty Lebovitz who owns SierraScape Vacation Rentals suggested that I turn the cottage into a vacation rental for two. So I did! That is how Yosemite’s Suite Retreat’s Gingerbread Tiny House came to be! Thank you, Kirsty!

We are an alternative to a hotel/motel, renting a full size home and of course camping! We are NOT a remote mountain property. On our shared 3 acres we have several separate living quarters all unique and loaded with character. They are all separate from each other with each having their own yards and driveways.
