À propos de cet hébergement

Bienvenue dans la belle Matunuck! C'est la Nouvelle-Angleterre par excellence à son meilleur. Notre chalet est au cœur de la communauté, juste en face de l'océan et à seulement quelques minutes à pied des plages.

Asseyez-vous sur le nouveau pont et écoutez le ferry et sentez la brise de l'océan. Nous sommes situés juste sur Matunuck Beach Rd, et à quelques pas de la pizza, de l'épicerie du village, de la boutique de surf, de la crème glacée à la vanille (un aliment de base RI), du Tara's Pub et de l'Ocean Mist (élu meilleur bar de plage des États-Unis! ) Un mile de distance est Theater by the Sea, qui est un merveilleux théâtre d'été.

Nous sommes situés à quelques minutes de Narragansett, à 20 minutes de Newport et à 35 minutes de Providence.

Notre maison est entièrement équipée, il vous suffit d'apporter vos draps et serviettes. il y a 3 chambres à l'étage: 1 lit queen, 1 complet et 1 simple avec un lit gigogne en dessous. Nous avons également une véranda fermée avec un futon en taille réelle. Notre salle de bain vient d'être entièrement rénovée et comprend une nouvelle laveuse et sécheuse à chargement frontal. La salle de bain est au rez-de-chaussée. Il y a une vue sur l'océan depuis la véranda et les chambres au 2ème étage - vous pouvez voir tout le chemin jusqu'à Block Island par temps clair.

Nous proposons un chariot de plage pour faciliter encore la courte promenade vers le sable. Vous avez le choix entre 2 plages: tournez à gauche devant la porte d'entrée et en 3 minutes vous serez sur la plage de Deep Hole - un favori des surfeurs et des kitesurfeurs. Tournez à droite à la porte d'entrée et après 5-7 minutes de marche, vous êtes sur la plage de Matunuck (ou South Kingstown). Cette plage de sable a de grosses vagues, un snack-bar, des douches et une aire de jeux.

Nous vivons à RI toute l'année et sommes toujours disponibles pour rendre vos vacances encore meilleures. N'hésitez pas à nous contacter pour toute question!

Relaxed week steps from the sea

Had a great week - my 9 year old was so sad to leave...super comfy for us, lots of nice seating inside and out, great kitchen with all of the amenities and more, great new bathroom (washer dryer was a huge plus), so nice to be able to amble down to Matunuck, or over to Deep Hole to watch the moonrise, and bonus access a little further to E. Matunuck. We're Point Judith people, hesitant to try the other side of the pond - and as a native Rhode Islander was a little nervous to be so close to the famed Ocean Mist, but other than some turnaround traffic on Sat night, a super peaceful spot...happy beachy folks walking their dogs in the am...We're already missing it -

Best Beach Getaway

This beach house provided the perfect beach getaway for our family! The location is so close to the ocean as well as restaurants and pubs. Ellen was an excellent host as well, very attentive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely return in the future!

My friends and I have an incredible week at this house. The communication with Ellen started a couple of hours before we were due to check in. She knew of a sink that was plugged and had it fixed immediately. The house was a 7 minute walk to the beach which made it perfect!!

Cute beach town

Cottage was cozy, clean and a great location. We loved that there was a nice big deck. Small grass area for kids to play outside and an Easy walk to the beach, ice cream and a few restaurants/ bars. South Kingston beach was easily handicapped accessible for when my mom came to visit for the day they even offered her a handicapped wheelchair (no charge) so we could wheel her down to the water. First time she was able to go into the water in years. We really enjoyed our stay. Ellen was a pleasure to speak with and answered any concerns I had before booking and even during our stay. Would love to book again next summer 😁

Great Beach Cottage

This is the second year I am renting this cottage. Ellen makes it easy for you--toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent and washing needs, as well as some spices, garbage bags and other kitchen bags are provided. You don't get this at other rentals that ask you to bring your entire house with you. Obviously, you have to bring your own linens and towels with you which is stated in the listing. The kitchen is very well stocked for all cooking needs and there is a huge grill on the huge deck. I appreciated that there was an A/C downstairs as well as in each of the upstairs bedrooms during the extreme heat wave and humidity we experienced this summer. Other reviewers have commented the bedrooms are small--so what? They are more than adequate with comfortable beds considering one will be out most of the day. The downstairs living area and eat in kitchen are very spacious, with games and books in the downstairs cabinet in the book/display case. Travelers with physical difficulties should be aware that there are stairs to climb to get to the bedrooms and they are steep and narrow and the bannister does not come all the way down to the bottom step. The cottage is in a great location to walk to the South Kingstown town beach, to local pub and pizza shop which has incredible salads and sandwiches ( decent pizza) and 8 minute drive to East Matunuck State Beach and the Matunuck Oyster Bar. Ellen is a pleasure to deal with. I'll be back!

Perfect cottage for a relaxing getaway

The cottage is exactly as described. The location is fantastic and is within walking distance of both South Kingstown Town Beach and East Matunuck State Beach. It’s just a short drive to some fantastic restaurants. Both Narragansett and Newport are also just a short drive away and offer plenty of things to do for the whole family.

Cozy cottage in a great location

This was the perfect spot for our beach getaway! Plenty of room for our family of 5. Short walk to a couple beaches, and a quick bike ride to a couple more if you're feeling adventurous. Full kitchen with everything you could need to prepare meals, and a few spots within walking distance when you don't feel like cooking. Having a washer & dryer was key for those sandy beach days! We all had an awesome time, would stay here again.

Very easy check-in… new & modern bathroom, nice kitchen (needs new refrigerator), great deck, nice layout on first floor. Corner lot, (a lot of turning around traffic), beaches within easy walk. Kayak launch right down the street! Fun time was had by all

Great House!

We enjoyed our week at the beach house! The house had everything we were looking for with plenty of kitchen and family room space and very nice bathroom. The deck has a great space with large dining table and grill. The ocean breeze was fantastic! If you need to escape to cooler temperatures the family room and bedrooms were all air conditioned such a plus. The house is in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach, bars, ice cream and a great little market. Lastly, I mostly enjoyed the peacefulness ! Thank you Ellen look forward to booking next year.

Cute Beach House

This cute beach house is conveniently located right in the middle of Matunuck, within a 5 minute walk to South Kingstown Town Beach, Deep Hole Beach, the Ocean Mist, and several other food options including pizza, coffee, and ice cream. The downstairs is nicely renovated, with a nice kitchen, bathroom (with laundry), and living room. The upstairs is a bit cramped and hasn’t been updated, but it’s just for sleeping, so it works. The back deck is great for grilling and gathering. Beach chairs, boogie boards, and a beach cart all are all provided. It was also a nice touch that supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, trash bags, sponges, etc. are all provided. Previous beach houses we’ve rented haven’t had any of this and it’s a lot to stock up on for one week especially since we have to fly.

My brothers and I had a great stay here - the house was perfectly clean and well-appointed, with a spacious bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, and a patio perfect for catching the breeze. Ellen was very responsive and welcoming.

Clean, convenient spot with a fantastic owner!

We loved our stay in Matunuck, and it was all because of this spot! We were within walking distance to everything, including the beach, the market, ice cream, fantastic iced coffee, and all of the restaurants around. The house was perfect for the two of us, and even provided ambient common areas outside and in the living room for a few friends who came to visit the beach. Ellen and Jay are fantastic, from their great recommendations, to the state of the house, and even their communication was prompt and clear. We loved it here and will be recommending and revisiting again soon!

Cute beach Cottage

Very cute cottage, great location. Great deck with grill, spacious kitchen for a small cottage. Good sized bathroom. Lots of light. Neighborhood behind cottage on side street, great for walking with beautiful homes on a salt marsh. Close to everything, we had no problems with noise from the local bar down the street. There was a food truck a short walk from the cottage with sandwiches and bagels, even gluten free bread. Small grocery store, pizza place and a bar/pub all within walking or short ride distance. Kitchen well stocked for us to cook at home. AC's in every bedroom and downstairs if needed, we enjoyed the fresh air as well with the numerous windows and deck door. We will definitely stay again.

Awesome week!

My two teen daughters and I had a blast! Everything we needed was within walking distance... the Seaview Market (awesome sandwiches to take to the beach), Vanilla Bean for ice cream and of course The Ocean Mist and The Pub (appetizers/pub food for all and cocktails for mom). Ellen was great to talk with and extremely helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again! The Matunuck vibe is the best!

Quintessential beach cottage

Our family of 5 had a great week at this cute beach cottage. We were able to walk or bike to the beach, ice cream, and small grocery store. We enjoyed evenings on the back deck and walking around the neighborhood. Fabulous location.The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped and the owner was responsive.

We enjoyed many aspects of this rental cottage; the location, access to beach, quiet area. Thank you for equipping the cottage with all essential items. However there was an infestation of large black ants throughout the cottage and especially in the kitchen and food storage areas. This total grossed us all out and required us to throw away food! Everything had to be thoroughly inspected for potential ants crawling on it!!! Upon our arrival home (Thursday evening) we unpacked and had to thoroughly inspect our belongings for any ants that may have been in our bags. It was an added pleasure to know air conditioning was available and there was a system to keeping the second floor cool and bearable for sleep. However the noise from the air conditioner in the queen bedroom was as loud as an airplane engine!!! Overall it was hard to relax and enjoy the inside during the foggy mornings and humid evenings with the ants. We did find both ant spray and traps and used them appropriately which did help somewhat temporarily. We are not accustomed to a buggy environment and would not recommend this rental.

Perfect getaway trip

We love Matunick and this was the perfect spot to stay! Rode our bikes everywhere- the beach, market, And of course the Ocean Mist. We were fortunate with good weather so we weren’t home much but had we needed to it was a very cute and cozy spot to hang or cook in. Would definitely stay again!

Great location for a relaxing family vacation.

We loved this charming cottage. It had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. Out the door and to the right, it was a short walk to a beautiful soft sandy beach. To the left, it was an even shorter walk to "Deep Hole" - an area for fishing, surfing, and kite surfing. The large deck off the back of the cottage was the perfect spot to spend the evenings. Ellen was very responsive to our initial inquery and promptly answered all of our questions. Overall, this cottage is in a beautiful location and just an overall great experience.

Perfect home at the beach!

This beach house was better than described ! It was comfortable for my family of four.. Everything was as described . Kitchen had everything needed. I thought it would get a bit noisy being being so close to the the Pub and Ocean Mist.. but never had any problem . Had a great week .. Looking forward to another stay in the future! Beachy, comfortable cottage!

This was our second stay in this cute cottage. We are a family of four and were very comfortable here. So many cozy places to curl up with a book or rest after the beach. The cottage is close to everything - walking distance to beach, salt pond, ice cream, market, and restaurants. The back deck is huge and great for grilling out, sunning, and enjoying beautiful sunsets. The renovated bathroom is beautiful and spacious. We loved our week here and would happily come back again!
