Guesthouse on peaceful 11+ acre homestead! Pet friendly!
Come visit our ChĂąteau De âShop,â a peaceful nature getaway in East Texas. Tucked away on 11+ acres of forest, this spacious guesthouse is conveniently located in-between Tyler and Lindale. We are just 4 miles south of I-20, and an hour and fifteen minutes in either direction from Dallas and Shreveport. The building was originally a metal barn/workshop, but has been beautifully renovated as a guesthouse. It is located next to our main home on the property! Surrounded by evergreen forest, two creeks, and plenty of wildlife - ChĂąteau De âShopâ is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Very quiet and clean. Big sweet dog outside watching over a bunch of sheep and chickens. My dog really wanted to hang out with them. Comfortable beds - the loft was comfy and had it's own A/C. Big TV and nice kitchenette. Very unique place. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay at this location. We were in town for races at Swan MX and we loved how close we were to Swan. Also, Wal- Mart and severl fast food and sit down restaurants were close. Check-in was very smooth as well.
The stay was sooo awesome. It was very quiet and secure. I love the technology in the home and the overall cleanliness. My host communicated very well and very helpful. I loved my stay here. I will most definitely return.
Second visit to this clean, quiet & peaceful place. Very easy to get to anyplace in the Tyler, TX area from this location. The sheep, dogs and owners are the best; very pleasant and helpful. Would return here for relaxation anytime.
The property was clean and well kept. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare a meal. The kids loved exploring the grounds. It was very enjoyable and close to Tyler State Park.
My stay at Lydia's place was absolutely wonderful!! The property looks just like the pictures. It is set back quite a way from the road, so there was plenty of peace and quiet, but it was also right next to the owners, so it was plenty safe, which was important as a woman traveling alone. Lydia and her husband Weston are lovely, warm, welcoming people who made sure I had everything I needed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for your hospitality! :)
Loved the quiet, peaceful location. So well appointed with all you need to relax & enjoy. The farm dogs are so friendly and great greeters when you arrive. The owners were warm & friendly; enjoyed meeting them both. We would return again, and again, and again. Loved it!!
The BnB was new and very clean. The remote location was great. Loved their dogs, sheep and chickens. First time experiencing an instant hot water heater, which provided hot water all the time with no concern of running out of hot water. Thanks for the enjoyable weekend.
This cozy retreat is the perfect place if you want to get away from it all. It is nestled in the back of the beautiful acreage surrounded by tall pines all around. The house has everything you need for yourself, family, and friends. There are animals on the property that we loved to engage with as well as our yellow lab we brought with us. The owners were absolutely amazing, accommodating, and answered any and all questions we had. Superb stay all around!
Our stay couldnât have been more enjoyable! The chateau is exactly as pictured! All communication with the owners was very prompt. If you are wanting cleanâŠyou have found it. But if you are looking for hustle and bustle, center of town living, well this is not the place for you. It was so very peaceful! A little bit of heaven, only 10 minutes from town. We cannot thank our hosts enough and canât wait to come back!
This cozy space was the perfect space for me to stay the weekend of my wedding. My maid of honor and I were able to stay there the night before the wedding and getting ready the day of and then my husband and I spent the night there before heading out on our honeymoon the morning after. Itâs a cozy and peaceful space and the owners were super friendly! I had mentioned beforehand that we would be staying there for our wedding night and they had left us a sweet little gift and note to congratulate us. Highly recommended staying here if you are looking for a place to stay in the Tyler area.
This was a one night stay on our road trip and we were delighted with the accommodations. This cottage is tucked away from the city of Tyler on a little property with chickens, roosters, sheep, and a friendly dog. We enjoyed the sounds of the animals as we walked our little dog in the entry road. The cottage is neat as a pin and well stocked with everything you might need. The bed and living space were comfortable and the bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower. We could not have been any more satisfied with our stay.
First time in the area and loved it! Reminded me a little of the Piedmont wine region in northern Italy. House was nice and convenient as we spent time in Paso at a few wineries and checked out San Luis Obispo. House was. Wry good - loved the spacious bedrooms and beds were comfy backyard and back patio were nice also. Good times!
We planned on camping at Tyler State Park but were afraid of the heat. Weâre so happy we decided to stay here. Just 15 minutes from the park we got to do everything we wanted there, and would head back to the home rental before 4pm to hang out in the cool home instead of sleeping in a hot tent. It had everythjng we needed and more!
This was the perfect little spot for our weekend trip! The owners were super friendly and helpful. The house was clean and cozy. Perfect location for not being right in town but just minutes away from everything. Highly recommend staying here!
