Relaxing retreat in the Berkshires! Perfect for outdoor enthusiast!
Come and spend a weekend relaxing by a fire or exploring the many restaurants and outdoor activities from this unique and tranquil cabin tucked away in the Berkshires. York Lake is 1 mile away, and Cookson state forest is located across the street with hiking and mountain bike trails available. Great Barrington is a quick 15 scenic drive away with many shops and restaurants to enjoy. Jacobs Pillow is a 25 min drive, and Ski Butternut is only 10 min down the road if you enjoy skiing!
It was a nice stay over near a state park to hike and cute towns to get food. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very quick to respond and was very helpful. We were lucky to find this place!
Lovely working holiday in this cozy cabin. The views of nature were inspiring to this harried writer. The accommodations were clean and comfy leading to a productive yet restful experience.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Sportsmen's Lodge. The space is cozy but usefully divided into separate spaces, with a comfortable living room and well-stocked kitchen. The large lawn with a picnic table is suitable to outdoor recreation and relaxation. A great getaway for spending time with family and friends.
Great little cabin close to enough to good hiking spots. The kitchen is well set up and has everything you need to cook proper meals. If you are taller, the upstairs loft with double bed is not for you.
My husband, my kids (ages 19-25) and I went to tanglewood and were very pleased with this house! Itâs about a 20-ish minute drive to the area attractions, but a scenic drive. The house itself was adorableâclean, comfortable, well-appointed, and very cute! Kristen was responsive and accommodating from the moment I booked in January, all the way through our stay.
A cozy cabin feel in a secluded park of the Berkshires. Only a 15-20 minute drive to GB. Beds weren't the best quality but after a long day we slept great. Could definitely be used for a group of friends or family.
This is one of the cutest and coziest stays that I have had the pleasure of experiencing! Communication, cleanliness, and overall charm were top tier. The water pressure for the shower is everything you could ever want and was a welcome surprise after a long day of traveling. The outdoor space is quaint and perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. If you are looking for a unique, cute, quiet, and cozy place to stay, you will not be disappointed staying here! I look forward to coming back for another stay sometime in the future.
We loved the chance to get away from it all at this remote location. We wished that there were curtains in the windows of the rooms and bathroom. Warnings should be given about the fact that cellular service is mostly non-existent for at least AT&T and T-Mobile. Wi-Fi password is posted incorrectly on VRBO site. Should be all lowercase. Otherwise, this was a great getaway. Thank you!
We stayed for a night (5 people; a family of three and one set of grandparents) and it was the perfect place for us. The beds were comfortable and the next morning we made coffee for breakfast in the coffee maker with the coffee grounds provided. Even though the place is historical, the appliances were updated, including having heat pump. The shower area was small, but functional and we quickly got used to it.
The kid had fun exploring all the nooks and crannies in the house because the layout is so special.
One thing to note for people with mobiity issues. The bedrooms are not on the same floor as the bathroom, so you either have to go down a ladder or up a few steps in the middle of the night. It was not an issue for us though. We loved the place and would recommend it.
