Very clean, cute apartment and the hottub was a bonus!! Our host was great with communicating with me on everything that we needed for our stay. Small town but plenty of things to do and see. Highly recommend for a relaxing get away from everyday stress.

Enjoyed our stay - loved the hot tub and the tiny tiny town to walk my dog and baby around. If we travel this direction again we would stay again!

So much history

Exactly as advertised. Comfy place, nice neighbors and close to some very cool historical markers. Ill probably be back! The hot tub.... so great

Booked the property for a night. Id give communication zero stars if I could because that's the amount I received. Tried to get ahold of the host all day because they didn't give any check-in instructions. Never heard from host, got to the property to find a coded lock on the door. Didn't have any code or instructions. I called VRBO customer service and luckily they found the codes in their archives. (not sure why they don't automatically give that info to guests if they have it but not on them to be the host.) Thankfully we didn't have to go find a hotel elsewhere. The apartment was adequate.

Really enjoyed our stay. A good, central location for what we needed. Basic amenities (pots/pans, oil, coffee, towels, etc.). Wanted to use the hot tub, but never got to it. Will do that next time!

Great get-away

We wanted to get-away to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, but didn't want to travel too far. This was perfect! Just a three hour drive. The property and apartment was super clean and tastefully decorated and conveniently located near the Mesabi trail, which we used on Sunday afternoon. The hot tub was really nice, especially after biking 30 miles. The weekend was perfect!

Stayed for my sisters birthday. Hot tub was our reason we chose the place but hot tub jets didn’t work so that was disappointing.

Charming, creative space

The apartment was very clean and the owner is obviously very creative, which makes this unit (#3) very charming. The unit is a block from an historical park and overlook, both a must do to understand the history of this amazing region in northern Minnesota. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Chris!

Apartment was really nice, historic but modernized. Had a nice relaxing time. liked that there was coffee for me to make. tried reaching owner multiple times was unsuccessful. That was frustrating.

Neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Parking is a bit difficult at night with the bar across the road. If the neighbor with the black GTO takes off grab your kids and look out. Other then that room is clean and was quiet.

I was locked out of the apartment at midnight on my my 1st night by someone staying in one of the other apartments on the property. They locked the deadbolt for which I had no key. The owner never answered my calls, and I was on the phone with Vrbo for over 5 hours before they agreed to pay for a hotel room. The owner never responded till 1pm the next day. I told him I wanted a refund and that my trip had been ruined. Once again, no reply from him ever again. Vrbo also stated to me that this guy has never responded to any attempts of contact by them.I have spent numerous hours on the phone with Vrbo before it was finally resolved. Goodluck if you choose to rent from these people.!

Great little spot!

My wife and I wanted to explore a few small lakes on our kayaks and hike a few local trails. We found this super spacious apartment offered by Chris. Super easy check in, great price and to top it off- the out door hot tub! The place was great! I wouldn’t change a thing. Especially the price!!! Some things I would point out, not a deal breaker at all, the internet tv was a bit hard to connect to most likely due to the weather when we stayed but something to consider if binge watching a show is your jam. The hot is super private and was really nice after a long day on the water.The jets (from what I tried) seemed to be on the lower power side. Again not a deal breaker just more of an observation if you like the really powerful jets. Maybe I couldn’t figure it out but I didn’t try to hard since it didn’t bother my wife and I! If I plan to go to the area again, I will definitely stay in this one or his other unit in the same building!
