We spent many summers on Sand Lake with friends and have family ties to the Range. We have always dreamed of sharing a lake place with those who love to travel and explore. We dreamed big and worked hard and here we are!
The first six months we spent renovating this home to prepare for guests. This has been a true family effort of our family of four. We are excited to share this gem with others, especially in our hectic world. I believe that getting away, hitting a pause on daily life, and enjoying outdoor adventures are good for our souls. Enjoy this lake home for a relaxing getaway with your friends and family in Minnesota’s St. Louis County. This 2,700 sq. ft., year-round home on Sand Lake is set on a one-acre private wooded lot with breathtaking lake views and room for up to 12 guests. This property has 100 feet of lakeshore with a sandy, shallow entry to the lake. In addition, there is great out-the-door access to thousand of miles of ATV and Snowmobile trails and x-country ski trails. This “up north” paradise features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and plenty more space for guests to spread out. The main living space has a large smart TV, a dining table to seat 12, and expansive lake views. The lower recreation room features a gas fireplace, large smart TV, a game table, and air hockey. The upstairs den area has a smart TV and features large windows that provide natural light and offers a quiet place to read a book or do a puzzle.
This retreat is an easy three-hour drive from the Twin Cities, making it far enough to disconnect yet close enough not to spend all your time traveling. On your drive up, feel your daily life stresses melt away as the beauty of Minnesota’s northern lake country recharges you.
When you leave, we hope you take with you fond memories for a lifetime. Once you return to reality, let those memories take you back to beautiful sunrises, songs of the loons across the lake, relaxing walks down a gravel road, and time spent splashing in the lake, playing games, and connecting with family, friends, and nature.

Summer on Sand Lake allows for swimming, kayaking, floating, splashing, fishing, and campfires with s’mores. The large, level yard between the house and the lake provides a great space for outdoor games. The shoreline is sandy and shallow creating a perfect place for waterplay for guests of all ages. There are also miles of ATV trails at our doorstep.

Winter in northern Minnesota is simply magical. Enjoy nearby trails for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing. Miles of snowmobile trails are accessible directly from this property, and snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails are a short drive away.
