Cozy retreat

Condo is in a secluded setting. Very peaceful and great water views. Our host was very nice and everything was exactly as described. Weather was cold but it would be even nicer in summer.

Perfect honeymoon stay

This condo is cute and well decorated. It had everything we needed for a few days and the property it’s at can’t be beat for romantic evening views as you walk around. Tons of deer everywhere it’s very serene.

Lovely Place

This place was very good! The instructions were clear and lots of great recommendations for things to do. My only critiques are that there was a weird smell when we first walked in that only got marginally better over our stay. Also, bring your own blankets because you are only provided a thin sheet and blanket.

The communication was great and Jaya was super nice. Only wish the hot tubswere open past 10 pm. This meant I could only use it once over my three days for about thirty minutes due to my crazy holiday schedule. The restaurants were closes

Relaxing Getaway

This is a great property for a quick getaway from the city. It would be good to know this is a unit on the first floor with a courtyard view. The bed was super comfy. My only issues were burnt out lightbulbs, a broken garbage disposal so the sink backs up and some of the kitchen items needed to be washed again before use. Overall, I would stay here again.

Great place to get away from it all!

Property was just as described and cute. It was well equipped. Jaya was very responsive. Not many people there during the week. You can hear others walking by outside, and above. Sadly, no great views unless you go outside, which is easy enough. I would go there again!

Studio stay

Second time staying on the Island. Much happier with this unit over first. Bed was comfortable dense foam - no sags or lumps. Its kitchen was adequate for breakfasts for us. Needs an actual sharp knife and a real coffee pot along with pods. Iron did not work. Toilet seat is going to slide off with somebody! Other than those mentioned items the stay was very good.

Not impressed

The pictures are deceiving. The property is gorgeous but the actual room we stayed in was dark poorly decorated and not clean at all. There was a weird smell and the bed was not comfortable. I will not be staying here again.

Quiet Anniversary Getaway

The villa was a nice May getaway for my wife and I. I was very impressed with Jaya's extremely helpful customer service level provided before and even during the trip. PROS: - just the right size for two - free wifi and netflix available - had most things you needed for cooking - "keyless" code entry to the villa, so no need to keep up with a key - felt safe with the gated entry and weekend security - temperature control and a fan allowed for comfortable sleep. CONS: - the bed was a little too stiff for us - a bit of a smell in the room that was hard to cover up with air freshners. - we found photos #1 & 17 to be a little misleading, as they made it seem like the room had a view of the lake when this room was an interior room (no view). We recommend this as a nice quiet getaway, while still close enough to Austin to enjoy the city as you please. Thanks for everything Jaya!

New found European villa on Lake Travis

My family had a great weekend (2 adults and 2 children 6 and 3). Jayla was very helpful with directions, information on local activities and jet ski rentals. She allowed us an earlier check in so we could jet ski that first day and provided little comforts of home to help make our stay that much more personal. Her property was very clean with everything working properly and she even provided little things like zip lock bags, tin foil, and tupperware to use for picnics etc. Although there is only 1 bed with a pull out couch, we were very comfortable. The Island has wonderful pools (which we tried them all) and even a gym that you can use. The property has a ton of courtyards which are well maintained and relaxing. The girls really enjoyed all the deer around the area (we counted over 100). We did not venture out to any restaurants in the area but did drive to Zilker park and did jet skiing with Liquid Thrills which we had a great time. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone with families or just couples looking to "escape" the busy life.

Smelly, dark and disappointing

The smell upon entering the condo was bad, bad enough that we decided cut our trip short and go home a day early rather than spend the night again with the stink. At first we thought maybe it was just because it had been shut up for a while but it never got better. It smells like musty dog urine. The owner was contacted and assured us that she went over there after we left and she didn’t smell “anything weird”. But since there are several new reviews now that comment on the smell, I find it hard to believe that she was unaware of the odor. It’s a dark little studio (suitable for 2 people) that with a little bit of love could be very nice; a professional painter and some better lighting would go a long way. The bed is very firm and the couch reminds me of the futon that I had in college. The kitchen had all the basic amenities needed. Special attention should be paid to ensuring the dishes in the dishwasher are actually clean before placing them in the cabinet. 3 of the coffee cups had coffee rings in the bottom, and lip gloss on the edge and 2 of the plates were clearly not clean.

I appreciate you taking time to review your stay and providing me your feedback. I did go to check after you let me know that you are checking a day early. I am wondering why did you wait till you checked out before letting me know about the smell. Two nights you stayed there I had no communication from you regarding smell or anything and you decided to wait to let me know after you checked out? Had you mentioned it to me when you checked in or even the next day I would have personally come there and resolved the issues you had. I have had guests back to back stay there after you left and no one mentioned smell. Sometimes we have guests who cook things that leave a little lingering smell, housekeeping does their best to air it out and get it ready for the next guest. The unit is a studio. It's a cozy condo. We have a memory foam mattress which most people love and some have asked about it after their stay because they liked it so much. It's personal preference. I request you the next time you have any issues with your stay, contact the host right away. Our goal is to make your stay a pleasant one. I am sorry to hear you didn't feel that way.

When we first drove to the Island at Lago Vista, about a year ago, we fell in love with this place. There is something magical about Lago Vista. The place, the people, it just has a very happy feeling. We live just 20 miles away, but when we come here, it feels like a vacation. Adults and Kids love the amenities on this property. Lago Vista is much laid back, resort style community with not much hustle bustle or crazy traffic. This is a perfect place to come down and enjoy the beautiful nature or just sit back and relax.

A short and beautiful drive from Austin, but once you are here you will feel like you are far away from everything.
