The great room has a cozy fireplace and wall to wall sliding glass doors, allowing for incredible views of the back yard, rock face, and seasonal waterfall! Enjoy this amazing tucked back on your own private lot! Warm up with a Seasonal Fireplace in the Fall or Winter! Must be 25 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended in all seasons. The house is very spacious and was great for relaxing after a great day of hiking. Kids loved the foosball table. They played it for hours. Liked how it was tucked back in the woods. Super quiet.

Beautiful setting but poor maintenance, bad beds, and cleanliness issues hurt the stay.

Our stay had a beautiful setting with wildlife, great hiking access, and some added table and chairs. But the beds were hard and uncomfortable, the kitchen lacked usable cookware so we had to buy a skillet, the front door gutters poured water, the grill was dirty, the fireplace was off-limits, Christmas décor was still up in May, and the basement wasn’t vacuumed with dead bugs everywhere.

Simply amazing!

The cabin was very clean and beautiful. The scenery behind the cabin was amazing! Great location also! Hocking Hills is a great place to getaway and feel like you are in a different world and this cabin made it all the better. This was my families best cabin rental experience and we will definitely be a return customer!

Diamond in the Rough is a great place - we enjoyed our weekend stay there very much. Plenty of room, and a great layout.There were several small "fix its" that I think could have been addressed before our arrival, including loose porch railings, broken kitchen cabinet and a non-working bathroom sink. Once we let the owner know about the sink, they immediately sent someone out to take a look and it got fixed the next morning, which was great.There is no door on the bathroom off the main bedroom, which creates a bit of a privacy issue - this could be easily addressed with a sliding door or curtain.The person sleeping downstairs reported that he could hear every step of people on the upper level. Perhaps more insulation, or rugs would be helpful?The outdoor space is fabulous - hot tub, patio with table and grill, and fire pit out back, and rocking chairs on the front porch. We spent the bulk of our time out there. Sadly, there was not enough recent water to be able to see the waterfall on the nearby cliff.Would definitely recommend!

What a beautiful property! So private and serene. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is awesome and very well equipt. My only suggestion is to replace the mattresses with something more comfortable, they are stiff as a board.

Great Cabin and Location

The cabin was clean and well equipped with all the amenities we needed. The kitchen offered a great space for cooking, and there was plenty of seating for our family of six. The foosball table was a big hit, especially during a rainy day. We also loved the nature right out back, including the trail that led to the rock face and waterfall, it was truly beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen had limited supplies, but we made it work. The cabin was great for our group, and the outdoor space was enjoyable. Although the beds weren’t the most comfortable, we only stayed for two nights. The lower level area had a musty smell, so a dehumidifier would be beneficial. I loved the communication with BookHocking.com; they were very friendly and helpful. However, one of the railings on the front porch was quite loose and needs to be fixed. Overall, we really liked the cabin and appreciated the openness of the living and kitchen area. of the living/kitchen area.
