Lakeside Retreat: Steps to Beach

Welcome to the Hilde House, a historic family cottage bursting with cozy nostalgic charm.

With 3 cozy bedrooms featuring a queen bed, double bed and a twin over double bunk bed, this cabin comfortably accommodates 5 guests. The open concept living room and kitchen are perfect for spending quality time together.

As our valued guests, you`ll have exclusive access to the breathtaking Grandview Beach, a private oasis in Port McNicoll and only steps from the cottage.

Extras
Parking for 2-3 cars in the driveway. A BBQ to cook your favourite meals. Access to Grandview Beach is only 30 seconds from the cabin where you will find a nice sandy beach, beautiful water, picnic tables and a children`s playground.

Kitchen
Start your day with a peaceful cup of coffee in our bright covered sunroom or out on the deck. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is included, such as a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cookware, cutlery, utensils, and BBQ tools.

Living Room
The open concept living room is filled with an abundance of natural light. Sink into the cozy couch and enjoy a movie night or play your favourite board game. In the colder evenings enjoy our indoor gas fireplace. Step out onto the walk-out deck and continue to take in the stunning scenery.

Bedrooms
Stay in one of our 3 comfortable bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a queen bed, and the other bedrooms have a double bed and a single over double bunk bed. Each bedroom is equipped with clothing storage. Bedding and bath towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels!

Bathroom
Stay refreshed in our clean and functional bathroom. Featuring a shower, toilet and sink.

We provide a complimentary starter kit based on the length of your stay. It includes:

- Toilet paper
- Paper towel
- Dish soap or dishwasher pods
- Kitchen oil
- Salt & pepper
- Garbage, recycling & compost bags
- Kitchen sponge
- Coffee (pods or grounds)
- Tea
- Sugar
- Coffee mate
- A filled propane tank for the BBQ

This kit is meant to get you started. Once these items run out, guests are responsible for replenishing them as needed.

*Please note: This unit is in a quiet, residential neighbourhood. It is not suitable for large parties and is ideal for families and couples. Please ensure the volume is always kept at a reasonable level and turned down by 10 pm, specifically if you have music playing outside. Our cabin offers a functional but rustic experience for those seeking a simpler getaway by the beach!

The Beaches:
Only a 30 second walk to Grandview Beach where you can enjoy a sandy beach, beautiful water and a children`s playground. The cabin is also only a 10 minute walk to Patterson Park which has a picnic area, playground and access to the lake as well. Bring your water toys, water shoes and beach essentials and spend your days feeling like you are vacationing on a tropical island!

Guests have access to the cottage and to Grandview Beach (a private beach shared amongst the neighbourhood residents)

Occasionally, the property managers may be on the property for lawn maintenance, and to take the garbage to the curb on Monday evenings.

We are always available by phone, email or text during your stay.

Nestled in a peaceful and quiet residential/cottage neighbourhood, our cabin provides the perfect retreat for families and couples seeking a relaxing getaway. The neighbourhood is not suited for parties, and we kindly ask our guests to keep the volume to a reasonable level by 10 pm to respect the peace and tranquillity of the area. Enjoy the serenity of the surroundings and make lasting memories with your loved ones.

The cabin is located in Tay Township which is a 15 minute drive from Midland where you can purchase groceries and visit cafe`s and restaurants.

The maximum number of guests allowed on the property at any given time is 5. Should it be found that there are more than 5 people on the property at any given time, you will be asked to leave with no refund. You will be charged for the extra guests.

Absolutely no parties allowed. Out of respect for the neighbours, please keep noise to a minimum between 10 pm - 8 am daily.

Pet`s are not permitted unless discussed with us in advance.

The cottage operates on a holding tank. Please consider the environment and use eco-friendly products as much as possible. The water is potable.

Payment is due at the time of booking. Confirmed guests will receive a link to our guest portal to sign our rental agreement and view booking details (including payments and receipts).
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
100% Refund: For cancellations made 30 days or more before the check-in date.
50% Refund: For cancellations made between 15 and 29 days before the check-in date.
No Refund: For cancellations made 14 days or fewer before the check-in date.

A $500 security hold will be placed on the guest’s credit card 3 days prior to check-in. This is a pre-authorization only and no funds will be charged unless damage or excessive cleaning is identified after check-out.
