From the start, we had no communication from the host for check in, until 10 hours after checking in. We had no use of the âfull kitchenâ as there were no pots/pans/dishsoap/rags/paper towels, etc. finding out AFTER buying the weeks groceries upon arrival. The host told us to âbuy our own thingsâ so we purchased toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, sponges, etc. needless to say we had to leave and go back to the store to purchase all of these items, taking time away from our vacation. Will not stay here ever again nor recommend to anyone.
Initially, we were shocked and disappointed to see this was NOT the same as booking photos. The beauty of VRBO, it should be an OWNER listing one SPECIFIC property. This seemed to be a company with many listings, all the same photos but NOT the same spaces. Despite this, we settled in and survived. One very small frying pan (fit one slice of bread) one small pot (could make one ramen package-maybe), parts of the suite were nicely renovated (seemed to be a building from the '50s or '60s). The other areas, paint peeling off walls, balcony lock didn't work which was not ideal with small children on the 9th floor, floor tiles cracked/ chipped, things sloppily patched up, bedroom with two double beds had FIVE closets!!!?? Elevator SLOW. Intresting mix of old and new. Cleanliness- baseboards had gunk, a piece of gum stuck to the wall in our bedroom, pool area had garbage from day before. Bed immediately took the shape of a hammock when lying down, while simultaniously being so hard that my skin went numb like lying on a sidewalk. LolAll this said, view was AMAZING, free trolley ran in front of the hotel which got us to restaurants (had to eat out without family sized cookware) and the beach made up for much of the other issues. The water is clean, warm, not too rough, absolutely incredible! Also staff was approachable and helpful. My guess, they put up with a lot of unhappy guests.Next time would put out more money to get a better place, but still glad we went.
