Great for families and giving lots of space for people to hang out or relax with some solitude. Highly recommend. Wish we would have stayed longer!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house had a little for everyone. Some enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lake while others enjoyed relaxing near the bonfire while taking in the beautiful sunset. The house itself was roomy enough for all 5 of us and the two levels allowed us to each have our own space. We even loved having the garage to play bags and ping pong when it was raining. We would definitely stay here again.

Labor Day weekend

Very nice quiet location, lots of room and amenities to use and enjoy. Beautiful lakeside yard with fire pit and space to enjoy the outdoors. Though there are neighbors nearby, they are not visible from the house or yard. Perfect size for a family.

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend. We were a family of 6, grandparents and our grandchildren family of 4. Kids ages 7 and 10. We enjoyed our stay but the house had many pros and cons. Some we knew about from the photos, but some let downs.Pros:Large house 2 separate living areas. Each family had some private space.Ping pong, foosball, games, kayaks,Mike from management was very responsive and brought us things that were missing. He even brought us some plasticware so that we could enjoy eating outside with the children.Lots of towels and good washer and dryer.Town of Nisswa had many shops, 4th activities and great fireworks.Cons:Not owner occupied at all. The property was weedy and unkept.Paddle board was unusable. Broken skeg. Only one adult life preserver.Although games for kids were available, most had missing pieces or broken.2 story layout is difficult to use with the grill at the garage and no outside table nearby. It is quite the distance from upstairs kitchen to the picnic table in the yard with foods and tableware.The boathouse is only good for storage. It is not usable for sitting, it is full of dirt and spider webs.The dock is sagging and needs repairs.The bunk room has no closet or storage.We enjoyed the kayaks and the kids swam in the middle of the lake off of a large inflatable raft that we brought. The kids enjoyed the large yard, large garage with ping pong and corn hole games.This is not a house that we would rent again.

After managing over 3,500 bookings over the past several years, I’ve learned that reviews are truly a numbers game—expectations vary from guest to guest. As an example, we received multiple five-star reviews on different platforms both before and after your stay. I’m genuinely sorry that some aspects did not meet your expectations. During your visit, I personally came out twice and purchased items you felt should be provided at the property. The owner also invests thousands of dollars each summer in third-party services to help manage the weeds around the dock and shoreline, though with this being a more remote property, there will always be some weeds in the lake. I do appreciate that you mentioned several positives about the property, and understand that certain things, like the home’s layout, are not changeable. Ultimately, it seems this particular property may not have been the best fit for your group. That said, your feedback is valuable, and we will take your comments and suggestions into consideration moving forward.

The house was clean, nice, well-stocked, and suited our family group of 8 including 2 small children. We used both of the gathering spaces inside, the outdoor fire pit, and the kayaks. The house was in a good location, close to a nice public beach, pontoon rental, parks, and playgrounds. Our only disappointment was that although the photos showed a sandy beach, the lake level was lower than in the photos and the beach didn't get cleaned of seaweed and reeds until the last day of our stay.

I appreciate you staying with us and do appreciate your patience and feedback. However, it is important that potential guests do look at the photos. They show the beach and water have a lot of weeds and show it not cleaned up at all. The last two years these owners have paid thousand per year to clean it up a bit, but it is certainly lake swimming and always will be. It is sandy for the most part, but there weeds. I really do appreciate your feedback and we are looking into a different beach service who can do even a better job earlier in the spring. We certainly would like to have it done by the end of May every summer.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home is beautiful, spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. We were in town for an event at Brainerd Raceway, and having access to the garage was incredibly helpful for our needs. The owner was very accommodating, and we greatly appreciated that convenience.There was plenty of parking space for our vehicles and trailer, which made our stay even easier. After long days at the raceway, it was so nice to return to a peaceful, secluded setting away from the hustle and bustle of town. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
