Private Beach, Beautiful Lake Home, Fishing, Recreation - Everything You Need!

Beautiful year-round lake home nestled on 2.7 wooded acres in amazing Cross Lake. The spacious interior has that rustic feel you want when you're 'up north'. The kitchen has new appliances, new quartz countertops and a large dining area to fit all your family and friends. It is equipped with many cooking items from pots to baking pans, toaster, coffee makers and more. The laundry room has a large, full-size washer and dryer. The bedrooms include king size beds, full size beds and twin beds. The backyard overlooks the lake and has a large deck with patio furniture.

The property includes a large, hard-to-find, sandy beach area that everyone can relax at and build sandcastles in. With clear water, the beach area is one of the best parts of the outdoors. Also included are a paddleboat, kayaks and a new dock with bench where you can do some fishing. If you bring your own boat, there is a boat launch on the property. There is also a new firepit area with Adirondack chairs for your evening fires.

This cabin resides on Duck Lake, a private lake with no public access - perfect for those that are looking for a little peace and quiet.

If you're looking to kick it up a notch, right across the street is public access to Cross Lake, where you can access the White Fish chain of lakes. Known for its great fishing, recreational activities and wildlife, this area boasts a ton of activities and has great options for places to eat including Zorbaz, The Wharf, Moonlight Bay, Breezy Point and many more.

For those that love golf - Deacon's, Ruttger's Bay Lake, Cuyuna Rolling Hills, Madden's and Golden Eagle are just a few in the area.

For those with four-wheelers / ATV's - you can access the ATV trails right down the road.

For those that want to shop - a short 20 minute drive gets you to the cute shops in Nisswa, or drive another 10 minutes and get everything you need in Brainerd.

Other things to do in the area - Brewery Tours, Mini Golf, Paul Bunyan Land, Northland Kart Kountry, Brainerd Zip Line Tour, Safari North Wildlife Park... just to name a few!

And in the winter, those into snowmobiling - the state snowmobile trail goes through our lake, approximately 200 yards off the beach!

Family vacation

It was a great place to stay. Kids enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak's the beach was a hit with our group. Spent the nights by the fire pit even got to see a black bear checking out the place!!

Wonderful property

We loved this home. The open hang out area and the beach were the highlights. We were two families both with children and had a wonderful time. The home is well equipped with kitchen stuff and lots of room for pantry items. The second fridge was nice for drinks etc. beds were comfortable. Overall we have stayed at several VRBO and this was one of our favorites. We have already booked for next year!

Duck Lake was great!

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Duck Lake. We were a family of four with grandparents and we had plenty of room and things to do. The house was spacious and clean and very accommodating. We had an issue with the WiFi but the owners were super responsive. Highly recommend this place that’s near Crosslake but not in the crazy mix of giant lake houses. Duck lake was smaller and peaceful, even for 4th of July weekend.

Duck lake

The response from the owners was impeccable. The cabin had pretty much everything one would need: beach toys, beach towels, kayaks, and a kitchen with incredible amounts of storage and just about every item you'd need. The kids had a blast on the sandy beach with all the beach toys. Thank you!

Perfect lake get away

This house was a perfect location for our family vacation. It was spacious for all of us to spread out. And the house was so thoughtfully set up for guests. We truly felt like we were guests in the owner's home. Lots of kitchen supplies, storage containers for leftovers, spices. They even had bug spray, fly swatters, and a cooler if we needed to use it. The lake was so serene and the beach was relaxing. If a family has little kids there would be no fighting over beach toys-they have tons! Would go there again in a heartbeat.

A great getaway for the whole family!

What a lovely home and property! Perfect spot for young kids to play at the sandy beach and in the shallow water. Great layout with big family gathering areas. Very quiet and private lake close downtown Crosslake. Highly recommend!

Another Great Summer Get-Away at Duck Lake

For the 2nd year in a row, we traveled to Duck Lake for our summer vacation. And just like last year, great all the way around. 1. AJ and Amanda (owners) are awesome. They communicate and they care about your trip! 2. Pictures are a perfect representation of the property. Plenty of space for families and kids. Clean and well stocked for cooking, family night movies/games, etc. 3. Location is awesome. You have your own beach area, part of the lake, firepit, deck overlooking the lake, grill, and yard area to play. Plenty of toys for kids and adults, both in and out of the water. Plus, you are literally 10 minutes to the grocery store, hardware store, gas, boat rental on the Whitefish Chain, golf, shopping, etc. We will certainly be back!

Peaceful Paradise

Duck Lake is shallow but clear, perfect for kayaking and little kids. Great beach! Nearby Cross Lake and all of the other connected Lakes are awesome. So much fun! Thank you!

Wonderful!

We had a great time with three families at the cabin! The beach is great and the kids played in it everyday. Property was well taken care of and very clean. Location is quiet but also quick to get to activities - perfect Northern MN location. Would stay here again!

Overall okay experience

The location of the property was very nice. The property itself is in need of maintenance. Trees are dead and hanging over the house, garden rubber barriers are torn up all over and complete trip hazards. The property manager complained about us and cleanliness which we did everything to leave the house nicer than when we arrived. I should have taken pictures when we arrived but anyway I paid an extra fee and am not upset but will not return.

Quiet Time on Duck Lake

If you enjoy being on a nice quiet lake away from the crowded bussle of Crosslake, this is a great spot. Secluded and peaceful. The kayak's and paddleboat were great. The home is comfortable for a family and nice open space for congregating.

Family Vacation

Property was just as described on small private lake. The beach and sand toys was great for the kids. Lake is relatively shallow and not much luck fishing but ideal for peaceful kayak and paddle boat rides! Easy access to launch boat onto cross lake if you want a bigger lake. House comfortably fit our 3 family’s and kitchen had everything we needed.

Great Family Getaway - Definitely Book Again

This was a perfect vacation spot for family with younger kids. We had 6 adults and 6 kids (ages 3-9) and had plenty of room. Sandy beach and sand toys were a big hit. The water fan kept the weeds out of the swimming area. The 5 year olds could stand at the end of the dock so great for jumping off. Enjoyed fishing off the dock for small fish. Great campfire area. Close to town for ice cream treats. Loved being able to walk out the back door and down to the beach, very convenient for running back and forth. Cabin was clean and had great selection of dishes and utensils. Great to have access to a second refrigerator. Beds are super comfy. Really enjoyed the paved walking path in the area for an early morning run. Would definitely book again!!

Family Vacation

We just got done staying at this property and we loved it! We had three kiddos with us ages 1-7 and 7 adults! We had a great time! The space is perfect for family meals, bonfires, yard games, ample parking, tons of beach toys and life jackets and all you needed in a kitchen! They left us a cute gift basket with little items you might need or want on vacation which is very thoughtful! The owners were easy to get a hold of helped with anything we needed. We rented a boat on cross lake and launch was literally 1 minute away. Spent some time in Nisswa shopping, boys were golfing at Deacons Lodge and the Classic, we went to pelican lake as well. Property details - the beds are comfortable and more than enough space for sleeping! The living room is perfect for the kids movies nights and all of us to hang out, kitchen and dining area were awesome and had everything you needed! Beach area was great for our age range in kids (teens may have wanted a little deeper water and a few less weeds as you got deeper). But our kids had a BLAST! The beach area was a big selling point for us! They keep it clean and up to the end of the dock had few weeds. The kayaks and pedal boat were perfect on the super calm and beautiful lake! Grounds are kept clean and well taken care of. We loved it and would definitely recommend this property!!!

Cross Lake Retreat

This was a great location for our group of adults and children. We loved having access to the kayaks, the great fire pit, the sandy beach area, and toys for the kids. The location is on a private lake and it was very quiet, which we loved. We went into Crosslake for ice cream and there are nearby restaurants, if desired. We had a great stay!

Great little getaway

Nice quiet cabin tucked between 2 other homes. Great sandy shoreline for kids to play. House came with kids toys, towels, games, and much more. Our family enjoyed fishing off the dock, using the paddle boats and kayaks, and fire pit. We would definitely book again.

Great Place, Good People, Worth It

I am not a lake person, but my wife and kids are......and this place is PERFECT for both. We have already booked it again for next year. 1. The pictures and descriptions are right on....accurate. The whole place is beautiful. 2. The house is great. We didn't need all of the space with just 4, but used it. If you have a larger group, there is plenty of room. The house has everything you need for cooking, playing games, relaxing, etc. It was extremely clean. And having full size washers and dryers is so key with wet clothes each day. The washer is HUGE and did all our clothes easily. Also, the wifi was a great help as I need to do a little work and the access and speed made that easy. Great movie watching with family at night with the big screen downstairs. 3. The lake front is great. Awesome for fishing from the dock, swimming, playing in the sand, hanging out, taking the kayak/paddleboat out onto a medium size lake, etc. Not a great deal of boat traffic, so perfect for kids and fishing. And there is plenty of toys for kids, shovels, pails, boats, etc. for use. Well thought out. 4. Location is near perfection. While feeling completely isolated and away from the world, you are 10 minutes to the grocery store, hardware store, gas, supplies, golf, mini-golf, boat rental on the Whitefish Chain, etc. And if you want to have fun shopping, Breezy Point and Pequot Lakes are just 20 minutes away (great street fairs on the weekend). Another 10 minutes to Nisswa. 5. Hosts - Amanda and AJ are wonderful. We thought we might need gas for the grill....and so we texted them. They responded within minutes with multiple options. When we knew we wanted to come back again, we texted again. Immediate response. Never met them, but by the communication you would love to have them as family or neighbors. Not a single complaint. We will be back again next year.

Amazing Family Getaway

AJ and Abby were outstanding hosts. Their communication was friendly and very responsive. The property is well maintained and accurately described on the VRBO app. We enjoyed the sandy beach, fishing in the kayaks, yard games and family fun in the spacious living and dining areas. We took advantage of fun activities in the nearby towns of Crosslake and Nisswa including turtle races, pizza at Raffertys and Zorbas, ice cream at the Chocolate Ox, shopping at the cute shops - our daughter and granddaughter especially liked Squirrely Mama! We would give this property 6 stars if it was an option!

wonderful relaxing family cabin

This is a wonderful family vacation cabin. The large family room with lake view that everyone was able to relax together. The cute, modern kitchen was very clean and well equipped, so we were able to prepare all our big meals. Loved the large family table and separate kid's table. Beds were all clean and comfortable. Modern clean bathrooms. 1 bedroom is at opposite end of the cabin which was good for parents with late nights with new born baby. The location was perfect. Kids loved loved the sandy beach and bin with toys. We all used the kayaks. Nice large yard to hang in hammocks and room to set up our badminton and enjoy hours of play. Large gas grill on the deck. Wonderful fire pit that we spent late night hours laughing and sharing stories. We actually had a perfect view of the fireworks coming off Cross Lake which is nearby. This property has a private landing to launch our pontoon into the little lake to ride around. Very near to public access onto Cross Lake as well and cruise the big lake. This was a beautiful family cabin and highly recommended. Amanda did a great job communicating. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin which we highly recommend!!

Beautiful Setting

Our family enjoyed this location- the toddlers loved the sand, the teens enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat, and the adults enjoyed the campfires and beautiful setting in the trees. Easy access to the bigger lake through a short path through trees across the road- we jumped on a family member's pontoon easily. The dining table and kids table made meals special and easy. The lake view is the perfect way to start and end the day.

The land is spacious, private, including a private lake, and across the road is Cross Lake and the large White Chain of Lakes - so many options! It has acreage and yet is just a few minutes from fun activities, local establishments, fishing, golfing, shopping and a half hour from Brainerd. It is situated in the perfect spot for anyone and everyone!

The large beach is something that we searched a long time for. Not only do we have a large beach, it is private and in our own bay - which is a big differentiator. We have rented places for years with our family and find it hard to get a great place with a great beach, which is why it was so important that we had that so that families and friends had a nice area to hang out at. Plus, it is a fantastic place to play in the sand!
