Perfect getaway for a couple or families, better than glamping! Trails cut around the 25 acres ready for you to explore. Huge open garage hangar available to use as you like... family gathering, birthday party, family fun activities, bags, badminton, pickleball, bike riding, whatever your imagination can come up with. Master with King Bed on main level along with full bathroom, kitchen, living room, bar and small table. Upstairs you will find a giant loft and 2 non-conventional bedrooms, each with a Queen Bed. Out your front door you will find a patio with furniture for lounging and a beautiful campfire site complete with boulder seats and hammocks for relaxing! Nice place for trip with dogs

The place was as advertised and worked well for what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the layout was nice. The internet was inconsistent at times. The bed on the main level was too soft for my personal preference. Overall it was a nice place and provided all we needed for our trip. I appreciate that dogs are allowed, as we travel often to dog events. I would book again in the future, if we are in the area.

Nice retreat

Very nice property. Grandparents liked the "off the path" location; kids were fine with it as they are not the Disneyland type. I would recommend for families. Suggestion to have a few board games in the cupboard. Overall, enjoyed our stay. Proximity to KC very convenient.

The “barndominium” experience was amazing! The home is beautiful and the grounds are so peaceful and relaxing. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Our first VRBO trip and I appreciate that it was user friendly with easy to follow instructions and directions. Our host truly provided the comforts of home thinking of everything that could be needed. Thank you.

Peace and quiet

Exactly as advertised. Very clean and everything needed to set up house for a few days. Atmosphere in and outside complimented each other. The proximity to amenities(restaurants, events, civilization) was close enough while still having a “getaway” feel. As mentioned in other reviews, the internet could be challenging-tough if wanting to stream a movie at night or bad weather, but not the end of the world. (First world problem). The host could probably have the clean team check remote batteries? As some were dead and/or corroded. Again, first world
I would stay again though.

Great place to relax with dogs.

We were visiting for a family wedding in the area. There were six adults and two dogs. We really enjoyed the space of the property, all the natural areas, the cleanliness and it was well equipped for anything we needed. It was also a very quiet location. Our kids enjoyed the games in the garage on the day that it was raining. Our only issue was that the Internet was very spotty. Also, tall adults need to be careful about the headspace in the upper bedrooms. We will definitely stay here again when we are visiting our newlyweds who live in the area.

Great Place to Stay

The place was cute and had a spacious kitchen with everything we needed to make meals. There was a large garage that had fun games to play. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The fire pit was also a highlight. There also was a nice walking trail to take the dog on walks. It was secluded but also close enough to KC to easily take in a Chiefs game!

Great place to stay. It’s close to the city but it feels like your out in the country. It’s one of our favorite places to stay for the weekend.

Relaxing

Very relaxing, away from town but close enough to go eat and get supplies. Our granddaughter loved the game area when she would visit. The weather was rainy and it definitely made us want to sleep in and then lounge with a hot cup of coffee. There was a problem with the WiFi when we first arrived and Kristen got it resolved very quickly. We enjoyed our stay!

Fun getaway

Loved this place!! So spacious and private. Stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay again next time we do a multiple overnighter in KC. Didn't interact with the property managers because we didn't have to. Everything was provided and very accommodating and had everything we needed!!

Daughter’s Wedding

Douse was absolutely lovely and very clean and tidy. It was a great escape from the city. My daughters wedding venue was close by and this was so convenient for us to stay here and get ready and be there for the ceremony on time. I would definitely love to stay here again just to get away from the city and have a family weekend. The family absolutely adored the fire pit and spending time outside talking about the wedding the day after. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
