Wish we had more time there!

Our stay was brief, we were here for a sporting event in a nearby town, but wanted a good view while we were here! Wish we would have been able to spend more time enjoying the lake view, but we unfortunately weren’t at the property much. King size bed in the master was very comfortable if you prefer a firm mattress! We would stay again.

Perfect Fall Getaway for Honeymoon

Stayed for a few days as part of our honeymoon. Great upgraded and spacious condo with beautiful view of the Lake. Check-in and check-out procedures were easy and contactless. Owners communicated all we needed to know about internet, cable, and community amenities, etc prior to arriving. Definitely would rent with them again!

Beautiful view!

Overall, a nice property. Beautiful view right on the lake. There were a few issues with doors not opening/closing properly. Also, the ceiling fan outside didn't seem to be working. Only one dishtowel. Would be nice if there was an extra. Hand soap bottles nee replacing.

Cute condo. Recommend non skid bath tub footing. Dangerous as is. Front door knob needs to be fixed. Better quality paper towels. Otherwise, no issues. Thank you.

Labor Day Lake trip

The condo was perfect. It had all the amenities we needed for a great stay on the lake. We kept our boat right in front and had easy access to everything. Definitely a do over soon.

Sweet Spot on Smith Mountain Lake

Exceeded my expectations! A lovely spot, in my opinion the best on the lake. Our abode was perfect-ground level overlooking the lake which was easy for my elderly Mom to navigate and we had a courtesy spot to dock our boat at night. We fell in love with Bernard’s Landing and our place. Hosts prepared us well and provided us with a great experience. We will return!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I went for a long weekend. House was very clean and nicely decorated. The view of the water was very nice and enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the boats go by. Excellent restaurant right in the resort. Owner very responsive .

Relaxing Visit

Condo is in a nice location with a good view of the lake. Inside condition was fine with only one exception; the twin mattresses. Getting into or out of the beds was extremely noisy, making it impossible to take a nighttime bathroom run without waking others. They definitely need to be replaced.

Lovely condo with nice view

This condo was very clean! Nicely furnished and comfortable. Everything you would need is there! It has a nice view and is near the smaller pool at Bernards. Recommend highly!!

Best stay ever at SML!

This is our 4th visit to Smith Mountain Lake and this was the best experience we’ve had! Being able to go straight to the condo and use the keyless lock was fantastic! It saved us the trouble of finding the place to get a key, etc. The condo itself was in the best location! The pool (that was never crowded) was steps from the patio. The view was amazing and it was an easy, short walk to the marina where we rented a boat for 2 days. A week or so before the trip we received an email from the owners which gave clear directions and recommendations. Very helpful! We plan on renting this condo every year! Our boys (3 and 5) had the greatest time at their new favorite place!

Dirty

The bathrooms and kitchen were filthy. We had to wash dishes, pots/pans, silverware, glasses and cooking utensils. The rugs and floors were stained and the tile was sticky. The outside furniture, kayak, and fan had cobwebs, dirty leaves, and ashes were left on the table. The gas was out in the grill......the beauty of the lake was wonderful, but would never stay there again.

Awesome Property and Great Owners

Our family of four rented this beautiful condo for a long birthday weekend for my son, and it could not have been more perfect for us! From the amazing communication with the owners on accessing amenities and checking in, to the location on the lake, resort amenities, and the indoor/outdoor space, it was all so great! Very family-friendly community!

Deb is a high school English teacher, John works for the USPS, Natalie is a freshman at Va Tech and Kelly is in 10th grade. We live in Virginia, work hard during the year and wanted a place to go to get away from the daily grind. We hope to share a place other families can come to get away also!
