Nestled on over 4 acres and situated alongside the bike path, this tranquil retreat offers the best of both worlds—peaceful seclusion and easy access to downtown Xenia and the Athletes in Action Sports Complex, both just a mile away. This charming cottage boasts all the comforts of home, while immersing you in a park-like setting, making it an ideal getaway.

Stay connected with reliable high-speed internet and enjoy entertainment on the new TVs, perfect for streaming or remote work. While a variety of local and chain restaurants are within a short distance from the house, you can also indulge in a home-cooked meal using the well-equipped kitchen. Alternatively, fire up the BBQ grill and savor your favorite dishes on the inviting outdoor patio in the fenced in back yard.

Terrific Hosts & Very Clean

We had such a wonderful stay! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had all the amenities we needed to feel completely comfortable and relaxed. Communication with the hostess was a breeze—she was friendly, responsive, and provided everything we needed to know ahead of time to make arrival and check-in super easy (which was especially helpful since the location was a little tricky to find at first). Once we were settled in, everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and well-hosted stay!

Quiet, comfortable, clean. Tandem Retreat is located just blocks from Xenia Station, hub of four outstanding bike trails. We were able to access each bike path without having to repark our car front the house

Girls bike trip

My friend and I chose Xenia because it is a hub for five cycling trails. Tandem trails fit our needs perfectly! We arrived about 50 minutes before check-in hoping to get a ride in before dark. Renee the owner was extremely accommodating. The little bungalow had everything we needed and was very well stocked. The neighbors were very friendly and Renee gave us several recommendations for dinner. We will definitely be back.

Family Fun time @ Tandem Trails

Peaceful. Cozy. Quiet. Lots of trees.Very relaxing. Large outside space for yard games. Large open kitchen space to cook and hang out at same time!! A Super Plus Plus!!!Will definitely plan another Ohio family get together at Tandem Trails.

Cute and CLEAN

Everything we needed for a long weekend - Close to Kil-Kare (In town for the drag races), stores and restaurants. Beds were super comfortable, enjoyed coffee on the front porch each morning. Quiet neighborhood. Renee was a pleasure to work with through the entire rental process. Would highly recommend this home to future renters!

A Cozy Christmas Retreat Near the Grandparents

We had such a lovely stay here over Christmas! I was visiting with my boyfriend and two teenage kids, and this home was absolutely perfect for us. The layout—one king bed and two twin beds—worked out beautifully, and the house was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. The little fireplace gave it such a festive, warm vibe, and we were especially touched that the host had put up Christmas decorations—it really helped make the holiday feel special.One of the biggest perks for us was the location. My elderly parents live just up the hill in a retirement community, and staying here meant we could be close to them while still having our own space. It was so much more personal and homey than staying in a hotel, and it allowed us to create some truly meaningful memories together.The only small caution I’d share is that the street can be a little tricky to find, especially at night. I’d recommend arriving during daylight if you can—or look for the big set of mailboxes at the turn as a helpful landmark.We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for such a sweet holiday experience!

Peaceful and well-stocked

Peaceful and quiet. We were visiting family in Dayton but we didn't want to be in the busier town. This was close enough to the larger towns and Xenia had all the services we needed as far as shopping and eating. The house was very clean, spacious, and decorated nicely. The kitchen was large and better stocked than other VRBO places we have rented. There were extra pillows, blankets, and towels. There was plenty of seating, both inside and outside. The only minor issue was the clothes dryer. The door needs to be moved to open on the other side because there is a blockage that prevents the door from opening very far. It makes it difficult (but not impossible) to put the clothes from the washer to the dryer. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely book there again the next time we visit.

Cedarville Trip

This house was nice and close to Cedarville University. Easy to get back and forth. The house was clean and cozy. Only one bathroom. I would recommend for a couple or small family.
