Tabernash mountain retreat

The home is wonderful. We had 5 adults and 3 children in our group and we had plenty of room to spread out. The pictures as advertised are accurate and the home is beautifully decorated with very comfortable furniture. All of the beds have comfortable mattresses - we all slept well. The gameroom in the lower level was a life saver as it was very cold outside and it gave the kids a break from the outside elements as well as the adults. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee, tea, and some spices. One negative and the reason for not giving it 5 stars: the home was not as clean as we had hoped. The furniture was all dusty and the bathroom floors had hair all over them. Not a deal breaker but hopefully this review will come to the attention of the management and cleaning staff.

Hi Ed - we are so glad you loved the home, especially the gameroom and well stocked kitchen. Please know that we’ve addressed the issue on the hair left - this was a new cleaner we were trialing. We have since hired a new cleaner who comes highly rated with 5 years experience cleaning vacation homes. We take your feedback seriously and appreciate you alerting us that the cleaning was not up to our standards. I know we’ve been messaging and I’m delighted to hear your family already wants to book again for next thanksgiving!

The home is located in the Pole Creek Valley community -- a family-friendly residential neighborhood that boasts 360 mountain vistas, a fishing pond, and neighborhood park with basketball court and playground. Easy access to all that Grand County has to offer from world-class downhill and nordic skiing and snowmobiling in the winter to epic biking, golfing, hiking, fishing in the summer and fall. Under 15 minutes to Winter Park Resort, 25 minutes to Grand Lake, and 30 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park.
