Our stay at Lisa and Ken's place was absolutely amazing. The house is clean, cozy, and well furnished with sea-themed decorations creating a relaxing bayside vibe. The kitchen is well stocked with a variety of pots, pans, utensils, and even an instant pot. We brought our own oil and spices but did notice there were already plenty in the cupboard. The tiki bar garage has numerous games/activities for adults and children alike. Our kids especially enjoyed the ladder toss, dart board, a little two-pronged scooter, bubble wands, and chalk. We didn't use the grills, kayaks, or paddle boards but they're available. They also have some rods and lures, but I brought my own equipment. Be sure to visit the neighborhood bait camp to get some live shrimp and croaker. Throughout our stay we caught 2 slot reds and 2 slot speckled trout along with many sand trout, the occasional catfish, 2 unwanted small stingrays, and more. Our crab trap also nabbed a couple large blue crabs.Sea Isle is our go-to neighborhood when booking a family retreat in Galveston because it's quiet, peaceful, and the beach across the street is never too crowded. We've stayed in other houses along the canals, but this was our first time staying on the bay. I honestly can't imagine us choosing a different place next time. You simply cannot beat the view. We would have breakfast on the patio while gazing out across the bay. We had a lovely stay and will definitely keep this house in mind for future Galveston trips.
